Get your OnePlus Nord at Rs.24,999, sale starting today

OnePlus Nord, the cheapest 5G smartphone in the India market at this time is coming on sale today (21st September). I know, it’s already launched a month ago but that was the 8GB and 12GB variants. Now OnePlus is bringing the base variant of this Nord lineup i.e. 6GB variant, as it promised at the launch time. Before the availability details, have a look at the specs once again.

OnePlus Nord Specs

OnePlus Nord has a 6.44-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) Fluid AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone has a quad rear camera where they got the main sensor from the OnePlus 8, which means the 48MP Sony IMX586 main sensor with an f/1.75 lens. The phone will also have an 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle lens that has a field of view (FoV) of 119 degrees, a 2MP macro shooter, and a 5MP depth shooter – both with an f/2.4 aperture. The Nightscape modes are as vibrant as the OnePlus 8. There are dual-cameras at front housed in a punch hole cut. The setup comprises a 32MP Sony IMX616 primary sensor with an f/2.45 lens and an 8MP secondary sensor with an f/2.45 ultra-wide-angle lens that has an FoV of 105 degrees.

OnePlus Nord is the most anticipated smartphone reveals Amazon India

OnePlus Nord is running on Oxygen OS based on Android 10. As we all know it will feature the Snapdragon 765G processor that also supports 5G connectivity along with Adreno 620 GPU. The phone has three different types of storage variants where today, it is coming with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage. The phone is carrying a 4,115mAh battery that supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging.

The base variant i.e. 6GB||64GB variant is coming on sale for today along with the other too (8GB and 12GB) via Amazon India. The sale will start at 2:00 PM IST and the model costs Rs.24,999 only (for 6GB variant). Users will get two color options – Marble Blue and Gray Onyx. The buy link is given below.

IPL 2020 – RCB vs SRH: Match preview, Fantasy XI team and Prediction

One of the most anticipated days of the tournament is upon us. Team India’s captain Virat Kohli will begin his campaign as Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad.

It will be interesting to see how a rejuvenated RCB will battle probably the most balanced team in the entire IPL. However, with Kohli, De Villiers, Finch, Warner, and Bairstow, expect fireworks!

Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB got number 3 ranked T20 batsman Aaron Finch for a relatively low fee, which was probably one of the best buys of the IPL 2020 Auction. RCB, however, still faces the same problem which they’ve always had with their batting order. The only keeping options they have are of Parthiv Patel and Josh Phillipe. Phillipe might not make the team due to the restriction of four foreign players. Patel, on the other hand, is fruitful only when used at the top order.

This will have Patel opening with probably Finch and push Kohli and de Villiers down the order where they might not get many balls. They may have Kohli to open with Patel, de Villiers at 3. This will have Finch at 4 where he won’t be relatively effective as well.

Bowling has always been the sinking factor for RCB, especially their pace bowlers. However, the basic structure of their pace bowling is still the same.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

The team will feature the destructive opening pair of David Warner and Johnny Bairstow. They will be followed by the equally destructive Kane Williamson and Manish Pandey.  Sunrisers have always been known for their bowling department. The fast bowling, in particular, is completely stacked unchanged. The spin bowling may not seem stacked, however, it includes one of the best T20 bowlers in the world, Rashid Khan.

Fantasy XI team

VIRAT KOHLI (10.5) (C) – It will be very interesting to see a rejuvenated Virat Kohli. It’ll be safe to assign him as a captain keeping his consistency in mind.

JOHNNY BAIRSTOW (9.5) – Baistow is coming off an aggressive hundred against Australia. He has been in great touch throughout the entire season as well.

AARON FINCH (9.0) – Finch has been in sublime touch as well. Also, he is expected to stay long as Parthiv Patel goes berserk on the opposite end.

DAVID WARNER (10.5) – Warner has been in really good form and he’s an impact player who can change the course of the game.

MOEEN ALI (8.5) – Moeen Ali has been a breath of fresh air for RCB last season. He looked in decent form for England this season as well.

SHIVAM DUBEY (8 ) – Dubey may be a debatable pick. However, keeping his credits and slogging ability in mind, he can actually be a beneficial pick.

WASHINGTON SUNDAR (8) – Sundar has been a staple in powerplay overs. He takes wickets and is handy with the bat as well.

YUZVENDRA CHAHAL (9) – Chahal has developed into a phenomenal and intelligent limited over spinner.

NAVDEEP SAINI (8.5) – Saini has been a positive for RCB in both powerplay and death overs.

RASHID KHAN (9.5) (VC) – Rashid Khan will be extremely dangerous on UAE pitches. On top of that, he can bat and field as well. He, therefore, becomes my vice-captain as well.

BHUVANESHWAR KUMAR (9) – Bhuvaneshwar Kumar can pick up wickets both in powerplay and death overs. He will lead the Sunrisers bowling lineup.

Prediction

It is difficult to pick against SRH hence they will get the job done. Counting out RCB will be a huge mistake though, keeping in mind their improved team.

East Bengal is ready to start their ISL journey

After a long wait, East Bengal is finally going to play in ISL this year. FSDL has already confirmed the league of 11 teams from this season and East Bengal has submitted the bid papers and other documents to play in ISL.

East Bengal recently tied up a contract with ‘Shree Cement’. Shree Cement will be sponsoring the Kolkata giant.

East Bengal has also started to strengthen their team for the ISL. They have signed some Indian talents like Lalramchullova, Mohammed Rafique, C.K.Vineeth, Balwant Singh, Cavin Lobo and Eugeneson Lyngdoh.

They are also going to sign some foreign players as well. As per some rumours they are trying to sign former FC Barcelona player, Ibrahim Afellay.

East Bengal is also monitoring some Indian players like Sandesh Jhingan as well.

Though there is no official announcement till now of East Bengal’s addition in ISL. This is something for what East Bengal fans are waiting for. There is still some process yet to be done. The dates are-

  1. Club licensing deadlines [Sporting criteria]:  Sept 4
  2. Financial criteria:  Sept 28
  3. Final day for submission of follow-up documents: Oct 13
  4. Written representation prior to licensing: Oct 23
  5. Licensing decision result: Oct 30

These processes will be done soon.

Mohun Bagan are ready to play in ISL as they merged with defending champion ATK. They will play as ATK Mohun Bagan FC from this season. After East Bengal joins the league, India will enjoy the legendary rivalry between East Bengal and Mohun Bagan in this league as well.

Free agents can be a gamble for a team. However, there is little to lose if the player does not perform very well since they were signed for less than a bar of Snickers.

And keep in mind, that these players are free agents at the time of writing. Any club can approach them and have them for absolutely no money spent. All they have to do is agree on a contract with them.

So, without further ado, let’s look at top 10 best free agents in football right now:

1. Edinson Cavani

Scoring 200+ goals for former club PSG, Cavani is bound to go down as a club legend. He was a prime figure in transforming the club into the winning machine that it is today.

Any club would be lucky to have the former Napoli man, given his talent and experience on the pitch.

2. Mario Gotze

Mario Gotze reached the peak of his career scoring the winning goal for Germany in the 2014 World Cup. However, the attacking midfielder has not been able to maintain his form since.

8. Eric Maxim Chuopo-Moting

The former Stoke City player managed to make it to the final of a Champions League. That statement alone seems unbelievable. However, unlike Cavani, Chuopo-Moting continued playing for PSG through their Champions League campaign and as of right now, is without a club.

9. Hatem Ben Arfa

Another former PSG player, Ben Arfa featured most recently for Real Valladolid and now finds himself on the free agents’ list. Having a rather mediocre career despite his potential, Ben Arfa has a few years left in him at 33.

10. Kevin Stoger

Although not as famous as the other entries on the list, former Dusseldorf man Kevin Stoger caps off the list of the top ten best free agents right now. He joined the club following a spell at Bochum and has spent almost his entire career in Germany.

Leeds United achieve first Premier League victory in 16 years as Bielsa’s men score four against Fulham

Elland Road saw a spectacle of attacking football, as Leeds United secured a Premier League win in over 16 years. They beat fellow promoted team Fulham 4-3 and moved to 9th place in the Premier League table. The result was never in doubt after Leeds scored 4 within 60 minutes of the game. But a few late goals from Mitrovic and Bobby Reid did provide Leeds with a real scare. But the team was able to defend well in the final 20 minutes of the match and got themselves the three points.

Helder Costa was rightly given the Man of The Match award, for scoring 2 goals and 1 assist in the game. His first goal was struck in emphatic fashion to give Leeds the lead.

But the standout goal was his second of the match. Patrick Bamford raced down the left flank past Odoi and squared the ball to the penalty area. The incoming Costa saw the chance and used his left foot to direct the ball which with the pace of the past, saw it go to the top corner.

Leeds had a total of 10 shots, 7 of which were on target. Possession was nearly split between the two teams with Leeds slightly more with 51%. It was ultimately a match for the team that took their chances, and Leeds certainly did.

Leeds had been many football fans’ relegation candidates prior to the start of the season. But, going on the basis of what they have shown so far, it seems like there may be more than what meets the eye. Marcelo Bielsa may be eccentric with his demeanour, but his methods and tactical system have been nailed into the Leeds players.

They might not have the best of squads ability-wise, but sometimes spirit and motivation count for more than technical skill. Leeds face Sheffield United next, and it will be interesting to see whether they can continue to beat the teams to survive.

Harry Kane records 4 assists as Spurs thrash Southampton by 5-2

Southampton came into the game, looking for their first win of the season. And what better place to do it than their home ground St.Mary’s?

The opponents were Tottenham, who were fresh off a Europa League qualifying win but at the same time were also a little fatigued. But once the referee’s whistle sounded, Spurs were right on the mission of taking home the three points. So they continued with energy and intent, eventually winning the game 5-2, that saw South Korean forward score four goals against the Saints. Unusually, however, but good for the team, striker Harry Kane was on service duties and ended up getting 4 assists in the match.

The first assist came around the closing stages of the first half when Harry Kane positioned himself on the left flank and bend the ball past three Southampton defenders to reach Son. The winger only had to shoot with power past McCarthy to make it 1-1, after Ings has scored the opening goal in the game.

Shortly into the second half, Kane’s next assist arrived. The striker came deep into the midfield and passed the ball, almost without looking, between Bednarek and Stephens, which saw Son launched on the edge of the area and scored to make it 2-1.

A hat-trick of assists for Kane and goals for Son was achieved when the two once again combined on the counter. And it was the best moment of the match for a reason. Kane once again dropped deep into the midfield to facilitate the attack, and almost as a stroke of brilliance clipped the ball over the Soton defence for Son to secure the goal.

The final assist-goal from Kane and Son saw the action from the first goal replicated on the right side of the pitch. Kane had drifted to the right to strode past left-back Bertrand before attracting most of the defenders. This left Son unmarked to an extent, and with his pace and power coolly slotted past the helpless McCarthy to make it 4-1 and finish the game off.

Kane eventually made it 5-1 with a goal of his own, before Ings got a VAR-enabled penalty after Doherty’s handball and made it 5-2. It was a more than efficient performance from Tottenham, who now with the signings of Reguilon and Bale, will look to go from strength to strength.

Harry Kane became the first-ever English player to assist four goals in one Premier League game and just the sixth overall in the history of the competition.

The sale of the Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card went live on September 17 at 9 AM ET and within a second the product got sold out from all the major online stores in the US. Very few people were able to confirm their order and most of the limited stock was bought out by the scalpers.

Next on eBay, the scalpers started to sell the card more than the actual price of the Graphics card. The sticker price of the RTX 3080 is $699 but on eBay, it was getting sold for the price range varying from $1,000-$2500. It was hard to tell whether the listings were legit or not. But one thing was sure that the scalpers were taking full advantage of the situation to make a fortune for themselves.

After seeing this the gamers got furious on Nvidia and blamed the company for the sloppy launch of the card. Gamers who wanted to buy the card showed their anger on Twitter by criticizing Nvidia. They blamed Nvidia for faking the card launch and didn’t sell anything at all. Here are some of the tweets where customers showed how pissed off they are –

On the same day in the afternoon, Nvidia finally responded to the situation with an acknowledgment that the early sale at 9 AM ET today was plagued by bots and scalpers. They stated that they are doing everything humanly possible, including manually reanalyzing orders so that they can sell the cards in the hands of legitimate customers. They also apologized to the customers for the morning’s experience.

The reaction from the customers was pretty obvious to the situation. Hoping that Nvidia fixes these issues quickly so that they can satisfy their customers.

Amazon invests big in More to compete with Reliance

Amazon, the world leader in the retail market has been worried by the law that is passed in the Indian parliament. According to the new law, any foreign firm cannot have their own inventory in the country.

Rumors have always been surfaced that Walmart acquired Flipkart is not the real competitor of Jeff Bezos led Amazon. The real competitor of the richest man on the planet is none other than the richest man of India.

To tackle the law and make sure that it remains at the top of the food chain. Amazon has decided to invest big time in ‘More’.

Amazon and private equity firm Samara Capital have invested Rs 275 crore, in the More supermarket chain.

Samara has 51% holding Witzig the parent of More Supermarket chain. The company has supposedly invested more than Amazon.

This investment is the first infusion of funds into More since it was acquired by the duo from Aditya Birla Group in 2018.

This investment is set to boost the e-grocery market of Amazon. As the festive season approaches, people can place orders of grocery online on the Amazon website or app. The company will be able to fulfill these orders quickly from the nearby More Supermarkets.

There is however another particular reason for the sudden investment.

Reliance Retail has recently bought including Big Bazaar, Easyday, and Foodhall, with a whopping Rs 24,713 crore deal. This deal has provided Reliance Retail access 1,800 stores across the country. 

Amazon has many competitors in the Indian market. It competes with Walmart-owned Flipkart and Reliance’s JioMart. Not to mention it competes with Bigbasket, Groffers, and Google-backed Dunzo for online groceries.

With retail rapidly bringing kiranas and local shops onto their platforms. The problems don’t seem to over for the richest man on the planet.

The retail market is estimated to be around $1.2-trilllion retail market. Only 7% of this market is online. The remaining 93% are independent and small retail owners.

However, online retail business owners have started to eye the remaining 93%. It is a race to acquire the biggest share in the retail market between Amazon and Reliance. only time will tell who will become the biggest retailer in the Indian market.
