Joe Cole backs Chelsea for Premier League and Champions League Victories

0

Former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole has insisted that former teammate Frank Lampard can guide the West Londoners to the Premier League title, as well as the Champions League title this season.

‘I think they [Chelsea] are genuine contenders,’ Cole said.

‘I think all the English sides, you can’t discount any of them from going all the way in the Champions League because of the quality and the strength of our league.’

‘I don’t feel there is any weaknesses in the Chelsea side at the moment. I feel there aren’t any glaring weaknesses, there are areas to improve on. But if you look at the last two months, certainly since Chilwell, Mendy, and Silva have got into the back four, the clean sheets have started to happen.’

‘We look safe and secure from set pieces. So those things have improved dramatically from last season. I think there’s still areas where Chelsea can improve and they will improve.’

‘But certainly, I put them down as contenders to win the Champions League and the [Premier] League this year. But as well the other teams, your Man City’s, Liverpool, even United have a rich tradition in is competition. I think English clubs will fare well this year.’

‘Bayern Munich I think are rightly so the favourites being the champions, but I would put the money on English sides going deep into the competition and at least one of them getting to the final. I think it’s a good year for us.’

Cole also mentioned that the spending of over 200 million pounds in the summer has tightened up all the aspects of Chelsea’s game that were previously lacking. The addition of the defensive player’s, as the Englishman mentioned, has made Chelsea’s defense look like a team reborn.

The attacking side of things looks very promising as well, with the likes of Havertz, Pulisic, Werner, Abraham, and Ziyech right there in the limelight to dominate games once they find their footing for good in England.

Chelsea sit at the top of their Champions League table, and face Sevilla away from home tonight. They are currently third in the Premier League, after their goalless draw against London rivals Spurs, and have made a very positive turnaround since the arrival of Edouard Mendy.

Never forget a thing with the Samsung Smart Tag object tracker

0

Smart object trackers are the new technology which is luring a lot of people. According to some reports, Samsung, one of the world’s largest producers of electronic devices, has filed for a trademark with the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office). Reports stated that the trademark was filed on 30th November 2020. This has come just after the certification of a Galaxy Smart Tag device (model number EI-T5300) from Indonesian Telecom. The Samsung Smart Tag trademark filing includes computer hardware for providing NFC tag identification data; electronic security tags; a wireless tracking device and more. This would not be Samsung’s first object tracker. Their first one was SmartThings LTE-enabled tracker which was launched two years before.

According to rumors, early this year, Apple was in line to launch its ‘AirTags’. Now it looks like Samsung wants to directly compete with the US giant and launch a similar gadget first. This is surely going to put some pressure on Apple to speed up their process. The Smart Tag device we are talking about here will be used to track other objects. This will be done with the aid of NFC (Near-Field-Communication) and RFID (radio-frequency identification). Another feature of this Smart Tag is that it will allow people to log in to various Samsung services. Also, they will be able to unlock their Samsung devices without any issue.

One point to put special focus on is that filing for a trademark does not necessarily mean that the final product will be very close to a launch. A company can file for a trademark even if that product is a part of the company’s long-term plan. Yet, the market believes that Samsung will unveil the SmartTag gadget at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. This event is planned to take place within the starting two months of next year.

On Intel H470, Z490, and B460 motherboards, Asus implements the Resizable BAR support

0

Asus is now offering a public beta BIOS version, which supports the resizable BAR feature on intel H460, H470, and H490 motherboards. The BIOS versions support AMD’s SAM for the old B450 and X470 models is still not allowed to private testers.

AMD’s Smart Access Memory is a feature that can take advantage of the new RX 6000 GPUs when it is connected with the Ryzen 5000 desktop CPUs. For more than four years, this technology is being hidden within the PCIe 3.x specifications. This means that Nvidia and Intel can take advantage of it. But the Nvidia RTX 3000 users still have to wait until early 2021.

KOMACHI_ENSAKA wrote on Twitter that Asus had revealed a new Z490 BIOS (version 1002) which supports the feature of Resizable BAR. This same information was reported by Tom’s Hardware. Chris Wafers, representative of German Asus informed in a recent tweet that the BIOS is now ready for H470 and B460 motherboards. But this is now a beta release which may contain bugs. So, if you want to try it, you have to take the risk on your own.

Chris Wafers added a slide with the expected performance increase where the Resizable BAR feature comes to the Intel mobo owners. In the initial tests, we have seen that on some games, AMD’s SAM have little to no impact. But there is a game like Forza Horizon 4, which can benefit from it.

Asus used the game to showcase the performance increase on a particular configuration which includes the ROG Maximus XII Hero (WiFi) mobo running an Intel Core i7-10700K connected with an RX 6800T card. The exact graphics was not mentioned in the test, but a 13% performance increase is seen, which translates to ~20fps. Let’s see if Nvidia’s implementation can outperform AMD or not.

5 Ways to Keep Your Gaming Room Clean

0

Setting up a space for gaming is exciting and overwhelming. Individuals who are dedicated to their games even dedicate an entire room for gaming.

Passionate gamers even inculcate an all-consuming relationship with their ‘gaming room’. However, as they say, beginning a relationship is easy, maintaining it is difficult.

To help your relationship with your gaming room be relaxing, keeping surroundings clean is the first step.

Even though it seems tedious, changing a couple of thing in your gaming room would make it feel brand new while you are playing.

For those wondering how to do it, we’ve listed 5 ways you can keep your gaming room neat and tidy!

1. Keep Your Hands Clean

The main medium which carries bacteria and viruses are your hands, so clean them up. Wash them before and after eating, and after your long gaming sessions, a quick rinse with soap will be beneficial towards keeping yourself devoid of any dirt or bacteria.

It is also equally crucial to observe good personal hygiene practises. Avoid rubbing your eyes or trying to touch your face. This is especially true if you are using a shared computer or are in a common space while playing/working.

A realistic solution is to keep a bottle of hand sanitizer or some disinfectant wipes on your gaming room desk.

2. Invest In a Portable Air Purifier

Keeping your gaming setup and office tidy and rid of dirt, dust, and popcorn or chips/crisps is one thing, but it’s another to make sure the space smells good and doesn’t leave you feeling like you’re living in a pit.

Aside from just cleaning the dust, you can also keep the air clean with an air purifier. They remove all kinds of impurities and create a positive environment. Check out this article for some good recommendations.

There are countless choices to choose from, including those with true HEPA medical-grade filters and activated carbon filters. Both function together to absorb odours effortlessly and refresh the air around your gaming space.

3. Dust Your Area and Gear

Your gaming gear accumulates dirt and debris faster than you can think. Every few days, do a simple five-minute cleanup routine. Get a microfiber washcloth and do a swift wipe down of your stuff.

That involves the area of your desk, peripherals like your keyboard, the CPU, mousepad and the mouse, and your seat.

Here are some titbits for your gaming station clean-up:

Keyboard

A cotton bud is useful to clean your keyboard since it sits perfectly between each key. Give yourself a good sweep through and in no time you’ll be finished.

Mouse

Grab a few toothpicks to clear the gunk between the crevices. Aside from that, don’t forget to also clean the outer casing of your mouse.

CPU

Use compressed air to quickly get rid of dust accumulated around your machine as well as its wiring.

Desk

After wiping off the desk with a cleaning solution, use compressed air to clean nooks and crannies. Don’t overlook underneath! You should also clean your desk drawers.

Chair

For leather chairs, simply wipe it with a microfiber towel and a little cleaning solution. Vacuum up chairs to conveniently clear away dust if your seat is made of cloth.

4. Manage the Cables

You may have cleared the dust or debris from your gaming station, but what about those mismanaged cables all around? Those can accumulate more dust particles. At the same time, you can also satisfy your OCD impulses by assembling and managing your cables.

Most often than not, the area underneath your desk can be used as a cable management compartment. Add a cable tray or raceway that lets you both direct and conceal cables.

5. Avoid Sneaky Snacking

If possible, do not put snacks near your gaming desk. It can attract roaches and other bugs through food scraps. Additionally, crumbs on your fingers may fall through the spaces of your keyboard.

All in all, keeping your game space clean will give you a next-level positive vibe. Make it a weekly task that you will religiously follow.

A quick overview of the 2020-2021 NBA season

0

Due to the unfortunate circumstances of the spread of the coronavirus, a lot of things have been looking a bit different than usual. We already saw how the coronavirus had an impact on the league, with the league going on a 4-5 month of hiatus because of it.

We got to see the NBA ‘Bubble’ at Orlando earlier this year, a bio-bubble environment created by the NBA to complete the season. Well, the league wasn’t the way we were used to seeing it. No fans, social distancing, staffs wearing masks, the arena was all new to us.

As the 2020-2021 NBA season is on its way, we have a quick overview of the upcoming NBA season.

The regular NBA season usually starts in October, but this year the season will start on 22nd December. Each team will be playing 72 regular-season games, instead of the traditional 81 regular-season games. The league has condensed the schedule in order to finish the season in time for the 2021-2022 NBA season.

Usually, there is a longer offseason period. But for teams like Lakers, Heat, Celtics and Nuggets, who had deep playoffs run, they will be receiving only 8-9 weeks of offseason to gear up for the season. This is has resulted in many players throughout the league to miss a few matches at the start of the season, for some reason or another.

One of the most important thing for the association is to fight coronavirus while organising an, as normal as possible, league. The association has released a 134-pages guideline to teams which have to be followed strictly and at all times. Just the way, the NBA had an anonymous hotline to report potential violations of safety protocols, there will be a similar type of hotline during the continuity of the whole season. Teams travelling parties will be limited to 45 people, including 17 players.

One of the good things this season is that we get to see home and away action. Teams will play matches in their arenas and not in any kind of bubble. The season is expected to start on 22nd December and will go on till 5th March 2021. March 5th-10th will be the All-Star break, with the resumption of the league from May 11th.

There will be a play-in tournament for the 7th and 8th seed spot, a fight between the 7th to 10th seed teams, to enter the playoffs. This play-in tournament will be played between 18th May-21st May. The playoffs are expected to start by 22nd May and the season is expected to be concluded by 22nd July.

Even though this year is different from a normal season, one thing is guaranteed that this will be an exciting and fun season to watch and a challenging one for the players.

Facebook and Google are going to face new antitrust lawsuits in the US

0

Big Techs are facing issues with antitrust authorities in the United States. WSJ has recently reported that federal and state antitrust authorities of the US are going to file new lawsuits against Google and Facebook, the two leading techs.

As per the report, both the tech companies are facing four more cases. It is assumed that these cases will get filed by the end of January 2021. Just a few weeks before the Justice Department filed an antitrust lawsuit against Google.

Seeing the new legal troubles for the companies, the officials are probing both Facebook and Google proclaiming that they have misused their position in the industry to dominate the Social Media, Search, and Advertising sectors.

In the United States, it will be the first time that Facebook will face an antitrust lawsuit. However, both Google and Facebook have denied doing so and stated that they are offering most of their service for free which benefits the customer, being in a highly competitive market.

Amazon, Google, Apple, and Facebook all these big four companies had faced a congressional panel this year and all four are now under scrutiny by the antitrust officials. It is assumed by seeing the report that this month, FTC is going to file its case against Facebook. Meanwhile, in the coming days, we could see filing another case against the social media giants from a coalition of the state attorney general.
