Microsoft Surface Pro 8 and Surface Laptop 4 spotted on Geekbench

0

Yesterday we already saw the appearance of an unnamed Surface laptop on Geekbench score. The device rumoured to be Surface Laptop 4 is believed to be powered by AMD’s new Renoir APUs. In other news, Microsoft will also be releasing a new Microsoft Surface Pro 8, which will be powered by an Intel Tiger Lake chipset.

Now another Geekbench score of both the Surface Pro 8 and Surface Laptop 4 has appeared on the scorecard. According to sources, the Surface device is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 3780U Microsoft Surface Edition (MSE) APU. The Ryzen 7 3780U MSE is actually a Zen+ 4C/8T part and has a base clock of 2.3 GHz and a boost of up to 4 GHz. The entry on Geekbench shows that the device has an 8C/16T part, and it also has a codename as Renoir.

Microsoft will launch Surface Pro X 2020 with a custom SQ2 processor in October

The benchmark results achieved by the APU stands to confirm that the card is indeed Renoir. The original Ryzen 7 3780U MSE manages 940 points in single-core and 3,050 points in multi-core Geekbench 5 tests. But according to reports, the new Ryzen MSE APU scored 1,034 and 6,211 points in single and multi-core tests, respectively.

The original Ryzen 7 3780U MSE came with Vega 11 iGPU, whereas the new Ryzen MSE APU comes with a Vega 8 iGPU. It has a maximum boost of 1.95 GHz. One Geekbench OpenCL computes test the Vega 8 achieved the score of 14,075 points in the Geekbench OpenCL compute test.

The Surface 8 Pro, on the other hand, is powered by the Core i7-1185G7 and its benchmark scores are also interesting. It managed to post a score of 1,343 and 4,970 in single and multi-core tests, respectively. The previous generation of the Surface Pro devices was powered by Intel’s Ice Lake SKUs, and the new Surface Pro 8 models will have the new Tiger Lake CPUs to boot. Though there are no other major significant changes that Microsoft has offered with the Surface Pro 8 and the updated CPU will only provide a bare minimum performance boost.

Samsung will launch three foldable smartphones in 2021-UBI confirms

0

The OLED research from UBI Researches confirms that the South Korean Tech Giant, Samsung is going to launch three foldable smartphones in 2021. The OLED Research firm also reveals that Samsung was preparing three types of foldable OLED panels, which gives us a clear indication that the company is going to launch three foldable devices, include- Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Fold Lite, and Z Flip 2.

According to the source, all these three foldable devices will use next-generation ultra-thin glass as the cover window. The upcoming foldable devices also feature LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) technology and thin-film transistors (TFT) due to the reduction in power consumption.

The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will sport a 7-inches primary display and a 4-inches secondary display whereas the predecessor Galaxy Z Fold 2 has a bigger secondary display of 6.2-inches. The Galaxy Z Fold 3 will feature an under-display selfie camera. The Galaxy Z Fold Lite will be the budget model of the Galaxy Z Fold 3. The Galaxy Z Fold Lite will also have the same display size as the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

According to the source, Samsung was researching ultra-thin glasses with a thickness of 60 or 100 micrometers. That is thicker than the glasses that are used in the previous foldable devices this year, which had a thickness of 30 micrometers, which allows for the glass to be more flexible but cannot handle the pressure from a pen point without leaving a mark. 60 micrometers or thicker glasses can able to handle the pressure but is less flexible.

The Galaxy Z Fold Lite may not offer the under-display selfie camera and may be equipped with the cheaper internal for the lower price point. The source also reveals that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 will have an S Pen support.

It seems that the investors tied up in the last quarter of 2019 by American Cricket Enterprise, the owners of MCL. It also seems that all three of the investors have invested their individual stakes at the MLC entity level and currently do not hold allegiances or interests in any of the city-based franchises.

Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella’s love and passion for cricket is not a secret anymore. He represented his alma mater Hyderabad Public School in the much competitive Hyderabad Schools cricket and have won many trophies and medals too. From the sources, it is also known that Shahrukh Khan will go for Los Angeles while Nadella has to settle for Seattle. Nadella and his wife also own a stake in the Seattle based MLS soccer club Seattle Sounders FC.

From the sources, it is also found that PayTM founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma, 42-year-old CEO of the fin-tech company who recently collaborated with BCCI as PayTM extended its contract with cricket board to remain the title sponsor for all domestic and international cricket in India until 2023, is also in the list of high profile investors in MCL.

The new league is operated by ACE, founded by Vineet Jain, Satyan Gajwani of Times Group and Vijay Srinivasan and Sameer Mehta of Willow TV.

USA cricket is also in the process of co-bidding for a major Global ICC event in 2023-2031 cycle with West Indies Cricket.

Wijnaldum admits that Diogo Jota has surprised all at Liverpool by his performances

0

Liverpool’s transfer strategy has been brilliant in the last few years. Robertson, Mane, Salah were all somewhat unheard names bought for significant low transfer fees but they have gone on to become one of the best in their positions.

The Reds also haven’t hesitated to spend big on some relatively not-proven players, which includes the likes of Virgil Van Dijk and Alisson Becker who form an important part of their squad for the last few seasons.

At the start of the 2020-21 season, Liverpool wanted to have a backup for their regular front three and went for Wolves’ Diogo Jota. They spent £41m for a lesser-known name and many of the supporters had a doubt whether Jota can make any impact in the star-studded Liverpool team.

Since joining the Anfield side, the Portuguese international has made the most of his chances and impressed everyone at Liverpool. Georginio Wijnaldum told Liverpool’s official website before their match against Wolverhampton Wanderers: ‘I think he will be really happy to play against his old team.’

‘I’m always happy when I play against Newcastle because that’s my only other team [in the Premier League].’

‘For him I think it’s different because he played more seasons for Wolves than I played for Newcastle. For him I think it’s much bigger than what I have with Newcastle. It’s going to be a really, really big game for him and also a game he can enjoy.’

‘I’m really impressed because I already knew how good he was, but now I can see that he’s even better than what we thought of him.’

‘Now we train with him, we play games with him, so we can really see what kind of player he is, what kind of quality player he is. I think he’s showed it with the start he’s had at the club.’

Diogo Jota would hope to keep his place in the starting lineup and prove his worth to the team.

Premier League fans return to the stadium for the first time in nine months; the numbers could increase

0

It has been nine months since football players last saw fans cheering for them in the stands. In England, that nine months long wait finally came to an end as the spectators made their way back to the stands, cheering the players on.

As reported earlier, the tier system is being followed quite strictly in England, with no stadium allowed to hold more than 50% of its capacity.

West Ham United were the first to have fans back in the stands for their fixture against Manchester United. Despite a loss to the visitors, the game was reminiscent of a true football match and not the haunting screams of players across the pitch.

Elsewhere in London, about 2000 fans made their way to Stamford Bridge to support Chelsea against Leeds United. While there is reason to be happy, there is also a cause for concern.

The fans have been spotted sitting too closely in stadia and in Reading’s Madejski Stadium, they were asked to keep a seat between each other while watching the game after only twelve minutes past kick-off.

Temperature checks are being conducted for each and every person who enters the stadium. Moreover, keeping face masks on throughout the game has been made compulsory for everybody.

Arsenal, Brighton, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Everton, Fulham, Liverpool, Southampton, Tottenham and West Ham are the clubs that have been allowed to have spectators in the stands.

4000 fans are being allowed in the tier one stadia. However, Cornwall, the Isle of Wight and the Isles of Scilly are in the lowest tier and are not allowed to have any people in the stands yet.

There are also provisions in place to increase the holding capacity of stadia to about 10,000 people in the future. However, that will be on the cards as long as the coronavirus cases are on the downside.

Mi 10 Ultra scores only 88 points in selfie ranking 22nd in DXOMARK

0

Xiaomi has launched its Mi 10 Ultra smartphone on its 10th-anniversary that was unveiled exclusively for China in August 2020. At the time of its announcement, this phone’s DXOMARK camera review results have been come out which says that it was the champion of that time. However, the Mi 10 Ultra has lost to Huawei Mate40 in October. Recently, the DXOMARK selfie result of this phone has been published and the fact is, this phone made us disappointed as it has managed to score only 88 points for its selfie camera. With this selfie review score, the Mi 10 Ultra ranked distant 22nd. So, in simple words, the front camera module of this phone is not really up to mark compared to its rear camera setup, or we can say it is very average.

The Mi 10 Ultra features a curved OLED single punch-hole display. The punch-hole is located at the top left side of the display that holds a selfie camera which includes a 20MP 1/3.4-inch fixed-focus sensor with an f/2.3 lens. You can record videos with this camera up to a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (FHD) at 30 fps.

Now let’s breakdown the scoring of it into different sections. For photos, the selfie camera bagged 86 points and for videos, it has managed to grab 92 points. The images from the camera show accurate exposure (generally) on faces. But if you want to click an image or shoot a video having a higher dynamic range, highlights will be clipped. Also, in terms of low-light images, we can see noise, flare, color quantization, and more. The unnatural blur effect destroys your portrait selfie as well. In terms of videos, things got slightly better with effective stabilization, well-controlled noise, and accurate exposure (both outdoor and indoor). Some times, we face facial detail loss and unnatural skin tones in low-light conditions.

iPhone 11 users are facing touch-screen problems, Can Get Free Display Replacement from Apple

Last year Apple has launched its iPhone 11 series and after one year, the company is giving a free screen replacement offer to the iPhone 11 users. So, people who have iPhone 11s and are facing touchscreen related issues can now grab the offer to get a free screen replacement from Apple. Apple has also put up a support page on its website for its iPhone 11 users to find out if they are eligible for a replacement. But it is not for each and every model of iPhone 11. It is only for those iPhone 11 modules that were manufactured between November 2019 and May 2020. So, let’s check out what is the process to find out if you are eligible for the screen replacement or not.

To find out your eligibility, you have to find the serial number of your device. For this, you have to go to settings, then General, and then About (Settings > General > About). If your serial number lies between the valid manufactured date, you are eligible to replace your damaged screen. If you are eligible, either you have to find an Apple Authorized Service Provider, or you have to contact Apple for a mail-in service via the Apple Repair Center. After that, Apple will take care of your device.

Before sending your iPhone for repair, Apple suggests that you should back up your each and every date for safety purposes. As per the cracked displays, users have to get that repair first. After that, the touchscreen issue will get fixed. For information, this touchscreen repairing program will not extend the standard warranty coverage of the iPhone 11.
