Overwatch 2 will feature hundred of Hero Missions along with The Dynamic Weather

0

Overwatch 2 didn’t look like a huge part of BlizzConline’s opening ceremony, but Jeff Kaplan and the other important members of the development team shared a ‘Behind the Scenes’ video where we saw many new tidbits about the sequel to the first-person shooter game of 2016.

The video features two new locations that are situated in popular real-life cities: New York and Rome, with the former set to be in any one map used in the latest Push mode. In many areas combat is being improved, ranging from few animations to sounds, with every weapon getting a ‘2.0 sound pass’.

Testing is internally in the works to assess the passive abilities depending on the role. Tanks do have the knockback reduction, but they are also able to generate less charge for their Ultimate when enemies are shooting at them. Damage dealing characters have gained a movement speed bonus and support heroes have auto-healing which starts ticking after it is being damaged for some time, same as the Mercy’s passive. Tanks are going to receive a bit modified tactical role. Now, they will be more toe-to-toe brawlers than the characters who need to stand back and protect their teammates.

Then the discussion shifted to the new feature of Overwatch 2: Hero Missions. There will be ‘hundreds’ of those, and they come hand in hand with the character progressions, and Blizzard introduced the latest talent system where players can customize their characters in a different way. You’’ find dynamic weather in the missions and they can take place at several times of the day.

Overwatch 2 isn’t going to come out this year but the developers promised about lot more communication to come in the upcoming months. So, stay tuned with us for more updates.

Apple is working on “Wireless Power Banks” internally: Report

0

We all are aware of Apple’s MagSafe, the wireless charging technology. But did you ever think of a wireless power bank yet? The answers from the majority of us should be “No”. The reports are saying, the Cupertino giant is working on this tech for over a year, and it has plans to introduce it to the market within a few months after the launch of the iPhone 12 series.

Reuters’ reports disclose Apple’s work on the “Wireless Power Bank” that can attach to the smartphone’s back and initiate the charging process. Yes, you get this right; it’s quite similar to MagSafe. An Apple spokesperson refused to comment on it, as per the report. However, it is said that the latest iOS Beta version, i.e. iOS 14.5 Beta carries the information of “battery pack”.

Going further with the reports, it’s come to know that the charging bags are made up of white rubber. However, as the product is not officially announced yet, the color could vary later. One note for you is the charging bag will have only the charging functionality. Use it as a phone protective cover will not be a fruitful job.

Alongside the iPhones, iPads, and iMacs, Apple focuses on accessories for over a year. In fact, 12% of the total revenue during the fourth quarter of 2020 came only from this section. So, it’s obvious, the tech giant has to focus and will invest a lot. It’s just a beginning.

Callum Hudson-Odoi becomes the first Chelsea player to be subbed on and off in a match

0

Callum Hudson-Odoi replaced Tammy Abraham at half time in Chelsea’s game against Southampton. However, the 20-year-old’s stint against the Saints was just that, a 30-minute stint. That was because Thomas Tuchel took the player off after only half an hour’s worth of football being played following the beginning of the second half.

Thomas Tuchel later clarified the reason behind taking off the winger, telling BT Sport:

“We brought in Callum Hudson-Odoi but I was not happy with his attitude, energy and counter-pressing.

“I took him off and we demand 100 per cent, I feel he is not in the right shape to help us.

“It was a hard decision but tomorrow it is forgotten and he has all possibilities to start against Atletico Madrid.

“It is always a big week so it is mixed feelings at the moment, it will not be easier to score against Atletico.”

This harsh decision from Tuchel sends a clear message regarding the standards that the German demands from his players on the pitch. Hudson-Odoi has been impressing in the right wing-back position in recent weeks, and has been documented to be getting along really well with the new Chelsea boss.

This decision from the manager only makes sure that the players are aware that no matter what happens off the pitch, the demands for maintaining standards on the pitch remain the same for everyone.

Yohan Cabaye retires from football

0

Yohan Cabaye announced his retirement from football after spending a career with the likes of Lille, Paris Saint-Germain, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Al Nasr. The 35-year-old last played for Ligue 1 club Saint Etienne before hanging up his boots for good.

Cabaye came through the ranks at the Lille academy and eventually broke into their first team. He then managed to earn a move to Premier League club Newcastle United in 2011, after spending seven years with his boyhood club. The Magpies paid €5 million for his services, before selling him to Paris Saint-Germain two and a half years later for a profit worth €20 million.

After spending a year and a half at the French capital, Cabaye managed to earn a move to Crystal Palace for almost half the price that PSG bought him for. Cabaye played 543 games during his career and scored 70 goals while providing 59 assists in a those games.

The Frenchman also earned 48 caps with the France national team, making his debut in the summer of 2010 and going on to score 4 goals since.

Here is what the player had to say regarding his decision in an official statement:

“It is with great emotion that after more than 17 years of passion, love for football, great emotion and memories that will always remain engraved in my mind, I announce the end of my professional football career.

“Even if this decision may seem obvious and unavoidable having passed 35 in the world of football, it is still difficult to take and to accept because my love for football is immense.”

All you need to know about how the IPL salary structure works

All these years people wonder how cricketers walk away with deals of millions in the Indian Premier League auctions, and the biggies have become wealthy, while others have become a menage name.

People usually wonder how the IPL salary structure actually functions. So here we take a look how the IPL salary structure works.

Players are bought and signed in the auction after bidding. The player goes to the team that bids the highest for him. The highest bid amount becomes the salary for which a player is bought, and his taxes are levied according to the amount.

The salary structure is distributed according to the player’s contract, i.e. if the player’s contract is for a year, the player is paid the full amount, and if the contract is of three-year, then the salary is divided into three parts for each year and edition of IPL according to the availability of the player.

BCCI always handovers 20 per cent of the total salary to the respective home board, i.e. if an Australian player is signed for 5 crores, 1 crore will be paid beforehand to Cricket Australia, and the cost arises out of the league’s central revenue pool.

In the opening edition of IPL, bids were made in US dollars, and during that time, the exchange rate was determined at Rs 40 per USD. However, four years later, it was changed to the INR system.

If a team retains a player, he will be paying the same price as the previous year. It’s only the teams who will decide if they want to increase the salary of the player.

The salary structure is dependent on the availability of each team. This also depends on sponsorship money.

Many of the IPL franchises prefer to pay the entire salary at whole while others pay 50 per cent in advance. While some teams follow the 15, which is one week before IPL-65 during IPL-20, and the rest post-IPL formula, some teams also prefer to give their players cheques.

Thiago in defensive misery at Liverpool

0

Thiago’s move to Liverpool during the summer of 2020 was held by many as the best deal to take place during the transfer window before the start of the 2020/21 season. However, the Spaniard has faced a difficult start to life at Merseyside with injuries plaguing his progress and his performances on the pitch proving well below what is expected from a player of his calibre.

One of the most disturbing starts to show how difficult life’s been for Thiago at his new club is that the player has conceded more fouls than he has attempted tackles during his time under Jürgen Klopp. Opta has provided the stats for Thiago’s defensive record, and it is as follows:

Thiago 2 Thiago in defensive misery at Liverpool

Tackles: 25

Mins-per-tackle: 33

Fouls conceded: 26

Mins-per-foul: 32

Yellow cards: 3

Mins-per-yellow: 274

Thiago’s lack of defensive prowess was also on display during their 2-0 defeat to Everton at home, that was their fourth straight defeat in the Premier League. The Spaniard has not been helping the defense out in counter attacking situations and that, coupled with the fact that Liverpool are struggling with manpower at the back puts in place a very difficult situation for the manager.

One one hand, Thiago’s creativity is very difficult to parallel. However, his tendency to commit in the middle of the park can do more harm than good. After spending years and years with Bayern, the player must be given time to adjust to a new system and a new country with everything so different from what it once was.

Realme GT’s leather design, 120Hz display, AnTuTu score, and UFS 3.1 revealed

Realme has announced the launching of Realme GT on the 4th March 2021. Before the launch of this new handset, we have seen AnTuTu and Realme themselves releasing benchmarking scores of the smartphone. Realme CMO Xu Qi revealed the screenshot of the AnTuTu listing of the Realme GT (RMX2202) which had a score of 770,221 points.

This was an extremely high score compared to other smartphones in the market. Thus, it was obvious that it attracted a lot of eyes. AnTuTu was themselves surprised with this score. They shared a screengrab that showed that the smartphone has actually scored 688,602 points. AnTuTu said that they were shocked to see that high score because only one other smartphone has recorded a point tally of more than 700K.

Realme responded to this big confusion and said that AnTuTu may have used a previous engineering prototype of the Realme GT due to which they received a lower benchmark score of around 688K. To end this uncertainty, for now, AnTuTu said that they will conduct actual tests on Realme GT once it hits the market.

CMO Xu Qi shared one more screenshot of Realme GT which showed that the smartphone has derived a benchmark score of 767,137. To silence all the doubts, he even claimed that this test was undertaken when the smartphone was at room temperature.

Atletico suffer shock defeat to Levante at home

0

While Atletico Madrid seemed invincible only a few weeks ago, their recent fortunes have made the Rojiblancos seem mortal after all. The league leaders suffered their first home defeat in over a year as they lost 2-0 to Levante at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The underdogs heading into the match drew with Atletico at their own stadium only three days ago, and they have now managed to take 4 points off the title favourites, blowing the title race wide open.

Should Real Madrid win their game against Real Valladolid tonight, they will have closed the gap between themselves and their city rivals to only three points. And should that happen, Real’s season will all of a sudden look much better than it has been in recent weeks while Atletico’s will look like a painful bottle job, considering the stronghold of Barcelona and Real Madrid on the top of the league.

With that said, credit must be given where it is due and it goes to Levante. The 8th placed team has now managed to beat both Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid at home. Jose Luis Morales and Juan de Fruta managed to get on the scoresheet for the visitors as they managed to do what so many have tried and failed at, to defeat Atleti in their own backyard.

Atletico were ultimately unlucky on the day, having suffered only their second defeat in the league this season. This match was even more important since the next challenge that Diego Simeone’s men face is that against Chelsea in the Champions League, who have been unbeaten ever since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel at the club and are looking to extend that run to continental football too.

Following the official ceremony, FIFA President met with the FIFA team working at the regional office

BRAZZAVILLE, Congo (Republic of the), February 20, 2021/ — Another FIFA Regional Development Office, on this occasion in Brazzaville, the capital city of the Republic of the Congo, has been inaugurated, furthering FIFA’s commitment to support its member associations on the ground in the delivery of infrastructure, competitions, development and education projects.

The trip to Brazzaville also included separate meetings for the FIFA President with the President of the Republic of the Congo Denis Sassou Nguesso, the Minister of Sport of the Republic of the Congo, Hugues Ngouélondélé, and the President of the Congolese Football Association (FECOFOOT), Jean-Guy Mayolas.

“It is very important for FIFA to be present here today to listen to our member associations in central Africa and work together,” the FIFA President said at the ceremony. “We are doing this with the FIFA Forward programme that helps member associations, and that investment has been multiplied by five since I arrived at FIFA. We are here today with the staff of our regional development office to help the member associations, also together with CAF, to work hand-in-hand to tackle the challenges we face in the region.”

“We increased the number of African national teams eligible to qualify for the FIFA World Cup in 2026 from five to nine or ten. So there is work to be done so that African teams don’t just participate in the FIFA World Cup 2026, but shine there,” he added. “FIFA wants to see African football reach the highest of heights and we are certain that our network of regional offices will complement the work already underway to elevate African football.”

In 2017, FIFA took the decision to establish FIFA Regional Development Offices around the world in order to better serve its member associations and to be closer to their needs. Four of these offices are located in Africa: Dakar in Senegal, Johannesburg in South Africa, Brazzaville in the Republic of the Congo and Kigali in Rwanda.

Following the official ceremony, FIFA President met with the FIFA team working at the regional office, which is also located in the same building as FECOFOOT. The team has been operational since November 2020, but due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the office could not be officially inaugurated until today.

Prior to the inauguration, the FIFA President met with Hugues Ngouélondélé, the Minister of Sport, to discuss how to elevate African football to the highest levels on the world stage, before a second meeting took place at Brazzaville International Airport with President of the Republic of the Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso. Discussions with the Republic of the Congo’s head of state focused on the opening of the FIFA Regional Development Office in Brazzaville and the important role that football plays in the country and across the region, as well as the recent success of the men’s national football team, the Red Devils, who reached the quarter-finals of last month’s CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).

“Today’s meeting with President Sassou Nguesso was extremely positive and we are delighted with the strong support both he, and the government of the Republic of the Congo, has provided this new facility,” the FIFA President said. “Passion for football is very strong here, and we hope to encourage and develop the game even further through our new office.”

“On November 29, 2019, during your first visit, FIFA and the Republic of the Congo government agreed to install in Brazzaville, historic capital of African Olympism, the FIFA Regional Development Office for central Africa,” said FECOFOOT President Jean-Guy Mayolas. “On behalf of my colleagues, my fellow presidents of the federations of central Africa, I express all our gratitude. We can now say, that we are more close to FIFA and our various projects will be better managed and will have a happy outcome, for the positive development of football in central Africa. This is proof that Africa is your favourite land, and it is also proof of your commitment to support African football, which was a commitment you made during your election campaign to FIFA.”

Quin Synder and Doc Rivers to coach teams in 2021 NBA All-Star game

0

On Wednesday, the NBA announced the captains and 10 starters for this year’s All-Star Game. On Friday, coaches for each of the teams were declared.

While the squads have not been confirmed yet, it is known that the two team captains will be LeBron James and Kevin Durant, the top vote-getters in each conference. Each team will be coached by the head coach of the team in their conference with the best record as of Sunday, February 21.

Utah Jazz head coach Quin Snyder and his staff will coach Team LeBron, representing the Western Conference. Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers and his staff will coach Team Durant, representing the Eastern Conference.

Snyder has earned a spot as an NBA All-Star Game head coach for the first time. Joining Frank Layden (1984), he is Jazz’s second NBA All-Star Game head coach. This season, he has guided Utah to an NBA-leading record of 24-5 (.828) which is the best start to a season in franchise history through 29 games. The Jazz will be seeking its 10th straight win when it visits the LA Clippers on Friday. He is merely five wins away from his 300th career win.

Team Durant saw a bit of drama in terms of deciphering who their head coach would be. With the Brooklyn Nets racing, their coach, Steve Nash, had a chance to earn the honour. A Philadelphia 76ers victory against the Chicago Bulls solidified the job for Doc Rivers and his staff.

Previously, Rivers guided the Eastern Conference in the 2008 and 2011 NBA All-Star Games as the Boston Celtics’ head coach. He is Philadelphia’s first NBA All-Star Game head coach since Larry Brown (2001), and ranks 10th on the league’s career wins list with a record of 963-691 (.582) in 22 NBA seasons.  He led the Celtics to the NBA championship in the 2007-08 season.

Since the inception of the reformatted All-Star Game, James has been a captain in every season. This will be Durant’s first chance to draft.

Similar to last season, the league will be using a modified version of the Elam Ending in which a target score 24 points ahead of the leading team’s point total is set after three quarters. The number 24 has been chosen to honour the late Lakers legend Kobe Bryant who died in a tragic helicopter accident last year.

The reserves for the All-Star Game will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 23. The All-Star Draft will be held on Thursday, March 4.
