What will it take for Erling Haaland to be the next Cristiano Ronaldo?

0

Erling Haaland is one of the hottest prospects across Europe. The Borussia Dortmund youngster is on the radar of some of the European elites in the transfer window.

The Norweigan joined Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window in 2020 after a blistering UCL campaign with Red Bull Salzburg. The 20-year-old striker has continued his form at Bundesliga as well. In his 43 appearances for the German giant, he has scored 43 goals. His ruthless finishing has caught the eyes of everyone.

Erling Braut Haaland is a goal-poaching striker with a great future ahead. Clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona are scouting on him and monitoring his progress. He can be a prime target of some of these clubs next summer.

Everyone has already started comparing him to Cristiano Ronaldo. But we need to keep in mind that Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi have been doing extraordinary things week in and week out in such a way that it has become a new normal for them.

Among the current generation, Mbappe and Haaland seem to be the best among the lot but will they ever be on the level of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi?

I guess, NO. Ronaldo and Messi are the talents which we will never forget in the coming years. They were a one-time phenomenon. If you think Haaland is good, I fully agree with you, but will he be able to score 42 goals every season for the next 16 years? Maybe or Maybe not.

That’s what makes Ronaldo and Messi the bests of all time. They are so consistent with their performances that we expect them to score in every match or perform at the highest level every time they are on the field, and surprisingly, they always deliver!

Haaland is still young, and he has been excellent in front of goals, but can he be so consistent in every season for the next 16 years? That’s a huge question mark. So unless he starts scoring goals week in and week out in every season, we cannot compare him to Cristiano Ronaldo.

Moreover, he shouldn’t even compare Haaland to Ronaldo so that it doesn’t put extra pressure on him. He will be the first ERLING HAALAND.

Microsoft and Google are quite positive about the future of cloud gaming

0

Cloud gaming is the gaming industry’s future, and big names like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon have already entered this growing market. But in the recent day’s cloud computing has taken a major blow in the public’s eyes.

But regardless of the problems haunting the technology, Google is continuously backing its stadia. This suggests that cloud gaming is indeed on the rise.

NVIDIA, the Graphics manufacturer, is also continuously expanding its GeForce NOW. Even the e-commerce giant Amazon is also continuously working on its Amazon Luna (still in early access) and keeps adding new games like No More Heroes. Microsoft’s xCloud has been bundled into Game Pass to make the ever-growing library of games accessible even on the go by subscribers.

The biggest limitation of cloud gaming is the availability of fast and secure cloud servers. In Microsoft’s case, its cloud gaming is built on its Azure servers and PlayFab technology, which the Xbox and Windows giant acquired about three years ago alongside the company.

“We have a number of “industry priority scenarios.” It doesn’t roll off the tongue, but they’re things that we think the industry really cares about today that may be pain points that we’re trying to help with. The first one on our list of five is to accelerate game production with the cloud.

“This act of content creation, once you have it in the cloud, distribution becomes more fluid. We see this with xCloud. It started out as just racking Xboxes in datacenters and streaming it. Now we’re getting more experience with it, and you may be able to build game experiences that would not be possible without running in the cloud. Games where you can have lots of players in a single environment interacting in new ways.

“xCloud was about putting Xboxes in the cloud *laugh* but the broader term is pixel streaming, where you’re running GPUs in the cloud and streaming it down. Initially, pixel streaming is going to be useful in non-gaming scenarios like architecture or retail where you want a 3D experience but you don’t have to have the hardware. That will then move into gaming and you’ll see developers leveraging experiences that go beyond what was possible before.”

When one particular game fails to perform on the cloud technology then we assume that the technology itself is a failure. It is a completely wrong estimation because cloud computing itself has unlimited potential.

“[…] we have voice-font technology where we can record and listen to a couple of dozen hours of someone talking, and then build a model that can recreate that person’s voice saying whatever we want them to say. When you think about that in the context of deep fakes it’s deeply troubling, but when you think about its use in casting voices for games, it could allow an indie developer with a small budget to create thousands of hours of dialogue. Even better, have the computer speak using AI in whatever voice you want, you can get some really cool creative experiences. I love the idea of using voice fonts to let the computer speak in a more natural way than you typically get today. There are neat opportunities like that coming.”

Technological giants like Google and Microsoft are quite positive about the potential of cloud gaming and strongly believe that once 5G becomes generally available cloud gaming will become a big part of the gaming industry.

Manchester City will not listen to any bids for Kevin De Bruyne

0

Kevin De Bruyne has managed to establish himself as the most important player in the Manchester City squad, finishing the 19/20 season as the PFA Player of the Year and continuing the outstanding performances this season, too.

Moreover, the player has now taken up the armband and dictates things even more vocally from the heart of the park. De Bruyne has ten assists in the Premier League this season and has also scored 3 goals to go along with them. The total number of assists goes to 15 when we include all competitions, namely, the Champions League and the two cup competitions.

Owing to his outstanding displays on the pitch, the 29-year-old is now the most valuable central midfielder in the world, and Manchester City intend on keeping him at the club for as long as possible. Contract talks have been going on with the player for a while now and the final details are expected to be sorted out within the next few weeks.

The Belgian recently spent a few weeks out injured and has now returned to action for the team. In his absence, Ilkay Gundogan really stepped up and dominated games making dashing runs forward into the opposition’s box.

But now that De Bruyne has found match fitness, City have made it clear that they will not listen to any bids for the Belgian. More importantly, De Bruyne himself is happy at the club and is willing to stay and commit to a future at the Etihad.

The Redmi K40 series is on its edge of getting launched. In the meantime, we’ve got some official renders of the Redmi K40, showing its rear panel. On first look, the backside of the Redmi K40 looks to get inspired by the Damascus knife pattern. The color variant looks a bit black-grey mixing. On the down-side, the official branding of “Redmi” is there.

Now, coming to the camera section. It is a vertically placed rectangular rear camera setup with three camera sensors (triple-cam) along with an LED flash. The topmost and the bottom sensors look bigger comparing to the middle ones which are quite smaller. That’s all we’ve got from the rear panel image of the Redmi K40.

AMD to release the successor of its instinct MI100

0

AMD last year launched its first-ever CDNA GPU-based accelerator, namely the Instinct MI100. Recent reports indicate that its successor, the MI200, will be launched this year. The CDNA architecture is designed for compute-intensive and HPC workloads. It is reported that the 2nd gen of these chips is going to bring a lot of new features and technologies.

A Twitter user who goes by the name of Komachi first posted this news on his feed. We can assume that the MI200 will be replacing the MI100 as the new flagship accelerator for HPC.

We already know that AMD will be launching its EPYC Trento chips, and the Instinct MI200 is expected to be launching alongside the chipset. The MI200 is expected to launch in 2021 but we should expect a late Q4 arrival since MI100 was introduced in a similar timeframe (Q4 2020).

According to sources, the AMD MI200 is listed as an MCM ‘Special FIO Accelerator’ for HPE Cray EX. An MCM (Multi-Chip-Module) design suggests that there could be a Vega Compute GPU but two of them fused over the same PCB & connected by a next-generation Infinity Fabric interconnect.

As per the report by Daily Star, the striker can leave the summer as the German side is not ready to fulfil his wage demands. The report says Haaland wants his next contract to earn him €90 million over five years.

Haaland is currently on a five-year contract in Borussia Dortmund until 2024. Haaland and his agent, Mino Raiola, are trying to convince Dortmund to part with their talismanic striker so that the striker can join another club that is willing to offer him the wage he wants.

Haaland has a release clause of €80 million in his contract with Borussia Dortmund. However, it won’t become active until the summer of 2022. Until then, it is tough to find a buyer for the young striker.

How hackers are destroying the eSports scenario?

0

E-sports are rapidly growing in India and as well as in abroad. From PUBG to VALORANT, all the gamers have been given the opportunity to make their career in E-sports.

But the increasing rates of hackers in every game are making the scenario worse for the hardworking players. Some games have increased the power of the anti-cheat system. But they still failed to identify some of the hackers or third-party users. The hackers are not even afraid to use their hack in official tournaments as well. It simply started to increase the question about the integrity of official tournaments.

However, some officials have taken a significant step to stop hacking in tournaments. PUBG Mobile E-sports has banned 7 teams and two individual players from PMCO for using third-party applications and using different identifications.

maxresdefault 2 How hackers are destroying the eSports scenario?

A statement by PUBG Esports read, “In our regular investigation to fight cheaters and provide fair competition in our official tournaments, players in the following teams were found to be using prohibited third-party software. As this is a clear violation of our code of conduct, the teams have been disqualified from the tournament. The teams will not be replaced, and the PMCO will continue as planned with the remaining teams.”

Indian teams are not in this year’s PMCO as the game is banned in India until further notice. But India also has seen some of the hackers in last year’s PMCO. Multiple teams were disqualified due to hacking. It was very frustrating to some of the players who had grinded to make their mark on the big stage but their dreams were shattered by hackers.

However, the problem of hacking is not restricted to one E-sports. Other games have also affected by hackers. The games like VALORANT has seen the worse of it recently.

Since its release last year, VALORANT has become one of the most favourite games among FPS gamers. It has also brought a new wave in Indian E-sports. The developer of this game, RIOT Games, has introduced a powerful anti-cheat system for this game. But the hackers somehow started to find their way to cheat.

Recently, in ESPL VALORANT PowerUp by Esports Players League, a whole cheating, account sharing fiasco surrounding Team Paratroops recently came to light. Abhay ‘Xhade’ Urkude, a player from Team Paratroops was caught using hacks. However, it was later declared that Xhade had not used any cheats in the tournament. But he has revealed that he used these hacks to reach a radiant rank in VALORANT.

Later, the officials of that tournament have taken the offence very seriously and issued respective statements. Xhade was permanently banned at least till further notice. Team Paratroops have been banned for 3 months from any and all Skyesports tournaments and leagues. Team captain Mithul ‘Binks’ Nayak has also been presented with a 3 months ban for account sharing.

Shiva Nandy, CEO, Skyesports stated, “There should be a strong regulation from Publishers and ban the hackers permanently so that gamers won’t even think of hacking. Recently RIOT’s ban system has come out strong where if you are found hacking, you may end up getting a hardware ban. This is a good move.”

Ankit ‘Venom’ Panth, one of the renowned athlete of Indian E-sports told, “If you think you will be successful in the scene by cheating and hacking, then you would only gain temporary success.”

“You might temporarily get a lot of fans, fame and sponsors, but all of that will be temporary. When you get caught, it will only take a second for all of this to go, and the backlash would be unbearable.”- he added.

India has already seen the worse of it when Nikhil ‘Forsaken’ Kumawat was caught with word.exe at the eXTREMESLAND 2018 Asia Finals. It was a shameful day for the Indian E-sports. These players are just hampering the hard work of other athletes who are grinding every day to lift an international trophy for India. The developers and officials need to take more strict actions against them to keep this gaming environment clean.

Roguelike Dungeon is being overhauled in World of Warcraft, it will reward you even if you fail to beat

0

The most ambitious feature of World of Warcraft is Torghast, Tower of the Damned. It contains a multi-floor dungeon which is basically a self-contained roguelike. When you explore it, each time the enemies change and as you progress to harder floors you’ll find more advanced abilities that can turn you into a demon-slaying badass.

Game director Ion Hazzikostas said during an interview, “One of the biggest points of feedback we’ve gotten since the release of Shadowlands was that, while the feeling of becoming this powerful wrecking ball going through Torghast and breaking all the rules is super fun, the flip side is that losing in Torghast is one of the worst experiences ever in World of Warcraft. And that’s a problem. That sucks.”

Torghast is the primary source of an important currency named Soul Ash which is used to upgrade the Legendary Gear. Every week, you can get so much Soul Ash, so beating the Torghast is something that players need to do if they want to keep pace with their guildmates and take on more hard challenges. The Soul Ash is only earnable when the player successfully completes a run of the dungeon, which can take more than an hour.

Hazzikostas said, “What if instead we had more of a rating or a score, where it was more of a spectrum, a continuum of success and trying to do better, trying to be more efficient, trying to be faster or have fewer deaths, but you have some reward to show for it? You always want to do better, but you’re never leaving empty handed—unless you, like, fail on the first floor and your run ends there, that’s okay.”

Hazzikostas didn’t have much specific information to share, but just knowing that Torghast is receiving an overhaul is a good one.

“We’ll have more to show when the [Public Test Realm] starts for Chains of Domination. We’re looking forward to a lot of feedback and iteration on this system,” Hazzikostas said. “I think our take on Torghast is that the setting is awesome, the gameplay is awesome, the variety of content and experiences there are awesome, but it needs to be a place where we can offer challenge without frustration and despair if the challenge ends up being too much for you.”
