Lenovo Yoga Tab 13 in works by Lenovo

Lenovo’s Yoga Tabs are amongst the best tablet devices available in the market. they are the most versatile in terms of usages. they have even been Incorporated into smart-home hubs with Google Assistant support over the years.

The last time we heard a new Yoga Tab announced from Lenovo was in 2019, but now, recent sources claim that the OEM might just have its latest next-generation Yoga Tab on the way. In the new alleged Google Play Console listing, the new machine from the OEM is called the Yoga Tab 13, which hints at its display size. The screen size will be an FHD+ (1350 x 2160) in resolution and the device will be powered by the “Qualcomm SDM855” processor.

Another source confirms that in the new Geekbench 5 listing the Yoga Tab 13 comes with an alleged model number, YT-K606F. it claims that might come with Snapdragon 865 (or Kona) instead. Rumors indicate that the tablet will come with 8GB of RAM and Android 11-based UI.

Even if the chipset is the 855 rather than the newer 865, it doesn’t change the fact that the upcoming tablet will be a premium example of the company’s Tablet design. Though the tips we got online don’t reveal much of the info, we expect the upcoming Yoga Tab to come with 5G support and also that the machine will have some new specs and features to look forward to.

A Casual Sandbox Mode is Going to Be Included In Call of Duty: Warzone, As Per Leaks

0

If you are grinding hard in Call of Duty: Warzone, now you can take a break with the upcoming game mode. ZestyCODLeaks suggests that a casual sandbox mode could appear in the future. As per the leaks, this mode contains capture point minigame, races, and obstacle courses.

One of the Warzone’s announcers said, “The area of operation is vast. Explore the activities.” Below, here is a list of references for the rumored upcoming mode:

  • A competitive control point game with several teams
  • Time trials
  • Obstacle courses
  • Vehicle races
  • Some sort of helicopter activity
  • A shooting course
  • Safe areas
  • A skydiving challenge

It seems that the sandbox is going to bring a casual vibe. This idea attracts comparisons to the vast creative mode of Fortnite that spawned an entire community of its own, though this Warzone version looks like a chaser to the main battle royale mode instead of a game within a game.

The audio leak contains references to a zombie “plague” mode that could be Verdansk’s final sendoff. We previously thought that the zombie outbreak of Warzone Season 2 will lead into the way of a new map, but this narration suggests that one separate mode will be there for the zombies.

“This is your last chance to save Verdansk,” one line says. Another one informs players that “Verdansk is overrun” and suggests they “avoid the plague.” It seems like this mode is going to include a desperate race to an exfiltration site. Even if the players can save Verdansk, that may not be the canon-ending story that Activision has planned for. If Activision were finding a better reason to remove Verdansk from the game totally to make space for a new map, blowing it up is a suitable way to explain it.

Lawsuit against EA dropped after they come clean with Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment

0

It was alleged that Electronic Arts uses its patented Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment (DD) tool to trick players into buying more packs and spending money. A class-action lawsuit was filed against them in November 2020.

The plaintiffs claimed that EA uses the DDA to weaken the player’s in-game statistics so that the player wants to upgrade the team and end up buying more packs to get a better player.

The lawsuit claimed: “This is a self-perpetuating cycle that benefits EA to the detriment of EA Sports gamers, since Difficulty Adjusting Mechanisms make gamers believe their teams are less skilled than they actually are, leading them to purchase additional Player Packs in hopes of receiving better players and being more competitive.”

But, today the lawsuit has been dropped after EA allowed the plaintiffs “detailed technical information and access to speak with our engineers.”

EA said in a statement: “Ensuring play is fair is critical to all of us at EA, and we’ve tried to be as clear as possible that this commitment applies to us just as much as it does to our players. We’ve publicly said before that we do not use any scripting or ‘Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment’ (DDA) or anything similar that would automatically adjust the difficulty of gameplay in FIFA, Madden and NHL Ultimate Team matches.”

“Our clear statements were recently challenged in a lawsuit that alleged we did, in fact, use DDA in Ultimate Team modes. We’re pleased to share that the plaintiffs have now dismissed their case. We provided them with detailed technical information and access to speak with our engineers, all of which confirmed (again) that there is no DDA or scripting in Ultimate Team modes. This is the right result.”

“While EA does own a patent for DDA technology, that technology never was in FIFA, Madden or NHL, and never will be.  We would not use DDA technology to give players an advantage or disadvantage in online multiplayer modes in any of our games and we absolutely do not have it in FIFA, Madden or NHL.”

“EA and the FIFA, Madden and NHL teams remain committed to fair play.”

So EA has been cleared of all the allegations and it seems they believe in fair play as well and there are no such systems in place to deliberately weaken a player’s abilities.

You can have a look at the full patent that EA holds on “Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment“.

Walmart-owned Flipkart evaluates U.S. listing with SPAC as option

Walmart Inc.’s E-commerce company Flipkart is exploring going public in the U.S. via a merger with a blank-check company as it seeks to quicken its listing process, according to people familiar with the matter on hand.

The Bengaluru-based online retailer has been assessing the nature or importance of a U.S. initial public offering, and it’s now also looking at other options, the people said. Flipkart’s advisers have approached several Special Purpose Acquisition Companys (SPACs), said one of the people who asked not to be identified as the information is not public. Flipkart could seek a valuation of at least $35 billion in a blank-check transaction, the people said.

A representative for Flipkart had no immediate comment as deliberations are at an early stage, and Flipkart could still explore other options, the sources said.

The Indian e-commerce giant is on the lookout to join other Indian firms like online grocer Grofers in exploring a U.S. listing through SPAC deals. ReNew Power last week agreed to merge with a U.S.-listed SPAC in a deal that will give India’s biggest renewable power producer an enterprise value of $8 billion.

According to a report by Bloomberg, “merging with SPACs, which are shell companies that raise money from public investors intending to acquire a business within two years, will allow Walmart to take its India unit to market at a faster pace than the usual IPO route.” It is expected that before the year-end, as many as 10 Indian companies could go public through SPAC deals, Utpal Oza, head of investment banking for India at Nomura Holdings Inc., informed in an interview.

Flipkart, which is battling with e-commerce arch-rival Amazon.com Inc., started operations in 2007 with an initial focus on online book sales before expanding into other product categories and now sells 80 million products on its platforms. In a $16 billion deal in 2018, Walmart acquired a majority stake in Flipkart.

Nintendo to bring new Switch model with a wider OLED screen

0

Nintendo, the biggest competitor of Sony and Microsoft’s next-gen consoles in the Asian market. Recent reports indicate that the Nintendo company plans to release an upgraded model of the Switch this year.

According to reports, the new model will reportedly come with an OLED screen. Samsung Display is providing the screen, which will be a 7-inch 720p rigid OLED panel set to go into mass production this June.

The Nintendo Switch, correctly available in the market, has a 6.2-inch 720p LCD panel, while the Switch Lite’s screen is a 5.5-inch 720p LCD. The lack of proper native resolution support for many of the games on the hand-held consoles has been a major issue over the years. And it’s been a while since we had any major resolution update from the industry.

According to sources, the new Switch model will be capable of 4K graphics when hooked up to a TV, but the hand-held console will still sport the 720p resolution screen in handheld mode.

We still don’t have any official confirmation from the company about the release date of the new Switch, but sources say that it’ll come in time for the holidays and that the displays will start shipping to assemblers around July. The initial monthly target is said to be “just under a million units;” Nintendo will want to make as many consoles as it possibly can.
