Nintendo Switch 2021 rumoured to feature Ada Lovelace from Nvidia

Nintendo is the current most and only famous handheld console available in the global market. As it stands, the manufacturer is now planning to launch the upcoming version of its Switch handheld console for the year 2021. And according to sources, the console might very well end up featuring NVIDIA’s next-generation GPU architecture, codenamed Ada Lovelace.

Earlier, it was announced that Nintendo Switch 2021 would be making use of NVIDIA’s DLSS technology to power up to 4K visuals in TV mode. The NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) technology is one of the RTX graphics cards’ key features, allowing users better performance through AI-assisted up-scaling.

As per the recent reports, the upcoming handheld console from Nintendo will feature NVIDIA’s Ada Lovelace GPU. As far as we know, Ada Lovelace is the generational successor to the existing RTX graphics cards based on the Ampere GPU.

NVIDIA has been known to base its architectures on prominent physicists, mathematicians, and scientists and Ada Lovelace is no different. In many ways, Ada Lovelace can be thought of as the world’s first computer enthusiast.

She appears to be the first person to have realized that the Analytical Engine proposed by Charles Babbage had applications beyond pure calculation and also published what is thought to be the first algorithm (becoming the first computer programmer) intended to be carried by such a machine. This was almost half a century before Alan Turing would finish their work and invent the general-purpose computer during the world war.

According to reports, Ada Lovelace GPUs from NVIDIA will offer better ray-tracing and DLSS capabilities and several new features that are yet to be unveiled. We have no confirmation which consumer systems will be powered by the GPU but, NVIDIA is likely to launch a version of Ada Lovelace to power the Nintendo Switch.

Apple looking to introduce new products based on its silicon in the coming months

Earlier, we have reported that the Apple iMac Pro was removed from sale, and now we hear reports that two storage configuration options have also been taken away from the iMac sales page. According to sources, a 21.5-inch iMac with a 4K display has been left with a choice of either a 256 GB SSD for storage or a 1 TB Fusion Drive.

However, earlier, we had options for a 512 GB SSD and 1 TB SSD, but this is no longer the case. The Cupertino giant has an Apple event which is expected to shoot off in April, and many speculate that new devices powered by the company’s silicon will be displayed. We could also hear the announcement of either an M1X or M2 ARM-based SoC.

According to a YouTube channel, Max Tech, there will be a new iMac on the show by the end of next month, with M1X devices coming in the second half of the year. We also have heard the reports that the new MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 laptops have suffered from production delays.

Famous YouTube content creator, Linus Sebastian, has been revealing the reasons behind the current chip shortages, which include too much demand coming from regular consumers as a direct consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, Apple introduced its highly praised Apple Silicon in November 2020, with the production of the M1 chip and related devices carried out during some of the worst periods of the coronavirus, and the company has been delivering to its consumers so far.

Intel wants Apple back as its major client

Intel has been severely suffering from its chips’ production, and it has caused severe delays in the company’s CPU launch. However, the troubles of the blue team don’t end there. Fabrication nodes, shortages of materials, delays in product launches have caused the company’s many customers to look for other reliable suppliers such as the TSMC.

One such customer of Intel is Apple, which has now chosen to partner with other silicon suppliers. Apple’s current plan is to gradually drop Intel’s processors from all Mac devices and equip them with its new M processors that TSMC fabricates.

We all know how well the Cupertino giants M1 chip’s performance, which was integrated into last year’s MacBooks, has been receiving mostly positive reception. Apple intends to continue improving this line of processors thanks to a newly-struck deal with TSMC that ensures development beyond the upcoming 2 nm nodes.

However, according to sources, Intel is not taking this too well. The blue recently started attacking Apple’s M1-powered devices in an ad campaign that employs former “I’m a Mac” actor Justin  Long. But, it’s not just that the blue team is mocking the Cupertino giant in its ad; Intel is eventually planning to possibly regain Apple as a customer with the new Intel Foundry Services initiative that is part of the grand IDM 2.0 strategy freshly announced by Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger.

Sources indicate that Intel is finally ready to dedicate foundry capacity for certain fabless companies in the U.S. and Europe through two new facilities in Arizona. During the Intel Unleashed webcast, Gelsinger name-dropped Apple as a potential customer, and Intel is also prepared to implement non-x86 architectures.

“IFS will be differentiated from other foundry offerings with a combination of leading-edge process technology and packaging, committed capacity in the U.S. and Europe, and a world-class IP portfolio for customers, including x86 cores as well as ARM and RISC-V ecosystem IPs.”

Apple has an agreement with TSMC to develop and produce ARM-based chips. Still, production allocations could become problematic since TSMC also has other major customers like AMD, Qualcomm, and even Nvidia and Intel is willing to help Apple diversify its supply chain that now heavily relies on TSMC.

FIFA 21: How to do the 89-rated Javier Hernandez Flashback card and is it worth doing?

0

FIFA 21 has once again come up with a Flashback card. Former Manchester United and Real Madrid player Javier Hernandez has got an 89-rated ST Flashback card.

The Mexican international currently plays for MLS side LA Galaxy. He has been awarded this Flashback SBC, remembering his old Bundesliga days for Bayern Leverkusen.

The 89-rated Hernandez Flashback card requires 2 SBCs.

Solution SBC for League Finesse

Expire date of the SBC: Monday, 29th March at 6pm GMT

Is the card worth doing?

The 89-rated Javier Hernandez Flashback card requires just two SBCs of 80 and 83 rated, which is one of the cheapest SBC requirement to date in FIFA 21. With all the upgrade SBCs currently live in FIFA 21, it’s very easy to grind the players and complete these two SBCs.

Now, coming to the main part, is it worth doing? I guess not many of you are willing to play him as your ST. This card isn’t one of the best in business in the game. But the best thing is that FUT Birthday starts tomorrow, which is one of the most anticipated promo events coming to FIFA 21. It is expected that we will get some very good players, and there will be some SBCs as well. So if you can complete the Hernandez SBC for such a low rated SBC requirement, you can easily put him in the upcoming SBCs.

Personally, I won’t be playing the Hernandez Flashback card, not only because he doesn’t have the best stats, but also it won’t be easy to connect him given his Mexican and MLS attributes. I have simply done this SBC to have an 89-rated card to put it into the upcoming SBCs during FUT Birthday.

So, I hope you have got this clear that the Hernandez SBC is pretty good for getting an 89-rated card from 80 and 83 rated squads. You should definitely do this and keep him in your club.

Man City news: Mahrez to stay, De Bruyne, Aguero, Sterling contract negotiations

0

There have been rumours that Manchester City want to let go of Riyad Mahrez this summer, but at the moment City want to keep him. That is as stated by Fabrizio Romano and Francesco Porzio on the Here We Go podcast.

City boss Pep Guardiola is happy with him, and he is part of the team and of the project for next season. The Algerian has consistently been involved in first team football, and has only been rotated occasionally due to the hectic schedule that plagues all leagues this season.

The winger has been involved in 38 games this season and has scored 10 goals, whilst assisting 6 goals across all competitions. Mahrez moved to City in 2018 from Leicester City €67.80 million and has two years of contract remaining with the Sky Blues as of now.

skysports kevin de bruyne manchester city 5068719 Man City news: Mahrez to stay, De Bruyne, Aguero, Sterling contract negotiations

The club is also trying to negotiate a new contract with Sterling, Sergio Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne. Aguero’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and Barcelona and Chelsea have been linked with his services. The general feeling is that the striker will decide his future at the end of the season.

They are also in the search for a left-back and Nuno Mendes of Sporting CP is being preferred over Robin Gosens of Atalanta. The general opinion is that he will be perfect for Guardiola’s system of play.  Sporting have a release clause worth €70 million, so it will not be very easy for them to sign Mendes given the current financial climate. But one can never truly rule transfers out for City due to their incredible financial backing.

India draws 1-1 with Oman as they resume international football after 16 months

The Indian National Football Team is back in action after almost 16 months. They last played an international fixture in November 2019. India took on Oman today in an international friendly.

The popularity of the Indian national football team has skyrocketed in the last few years. They now have a large fan base, and all those Indian football fans were eagerly waiting to watch their stars take the football field in the Blue colours.

Indian head coach Igor Stimac gave debuts to 6 players in the starting XI – Akash, Ashutosh, Chinglensana, Suresh, Bipin and Jeakson. Apuia, Yasir, Ishan and Mashoor came on as substitutes in the second half. It was a record 10 debutants in a single match.

The Indian football team hasn’t let down their fans. After conceding an own goal by Chinglensana in the first half, India came back stronger in the second half and scored the equaliser. Bipin Singh put in a delicious cross from the right flank, and it was headed home by Manvir Singh.

The last quarter of the match became end to end as both the teams went in search of a late winner, but eventually, the honours were shared at the final whistle.

But the most important talking point of the match was that Eurosports wasn’t telecasting the match live in India. AIFF officially declared that the international friendly matches would be telecasted on Eurosport. All the fans were excited to watch the match, but even after the kick-off time of 7:15 PM IST, there was no telecast of the India vs Oman match.

The Eurosport SD channel showed a cricket match while the Eurosport HD channel was telecasting an Eredivisie match between AZ and PSV. There is no telecast of the India vs Oman international friendly match. All Indian football fans have been angered and frustrated by this careless situation.

India will play against UAE in another international friendly match on Monday, 29th March.

Financial climate makes contract extensions as valuable difficult as new signings

Considering the difficult financial climate in place right now, clubs across Europe have been losing thousands, if not millions with every passing matchday. The bigger clubs have of course had it worse due to their heavy reliance on matchday revenue that has been taken away due to the absence of supporters from the stands.

While clubs have been unable to spend money on transfers, they have instead turned their focus to renewing contracts of their existing players. But even that is a daunting task for the bigger clubs across the continents due to the financial demands of the players that seemingly cannot be compromised on.

cristiano.ronaldo Financial climate makes contract extensions as valuable difficult as new signings

Speaking on the situation on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano compared the current situation involving negotiations with existing players at clubs similar to that of signing completely new players. This is because the demands for payment are not getting any lower despite the pandemic.

Clubs have adopted different means to combat the problem, with Real Madrid cutting 10% of the salary of their players at the time. This is especially important because their contracts all include such big commissions and bonuses in place for meeting certain variables.

messi rakitic Financial climate makes contract extensions as valuable difficult as new signings

Barcelona and Inter Milan, contrastingly, have missed the payment of their players in previous months and are yet to stabilise their financial situation. The likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe are hence having a tough time agreeing new contracts with their respective clubs due to their steep financial demands.
