A new preview of Returnal comes with information regarding DualScene Feature, Combat, 3D Audio

0

Housemarque’s next game, Returnal is going to launch in late April on PlayStation 5. This game will use the DualScene features to increase immersion and will make the combats more engaging than the previous titles of the studio.

The Official PlayStation Blog shared some new details in a post, about how the upcoming game gonna utilize the unique features of the controller. Returnal will use haptic feedback right from the start of the adventure to make players feel what is happening on screen.

“A broadcast signal of unknown origins draws Selene, a Greek-American ASTRA deep-space scout to an unmapped world. Her arrival onto Atropos is a violent one: an explosive accident mid-orbit sends her ship Helios spiraling into a crash landing. This sequence is an excellent early showcase for what the studio’s got in store for us with the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback: every metal-crunching impact is mimicked on the controller. When a flaming Helios roars across the width of your TV screen, you feel that fatal flyby through your hands.”

The game will utilize the Adaptive Triggers at its extreme. For example, the L2 button can be pressed halfway for the zoom-in Focus Aim, and fully to activate the alt-fire mode of the weapon.

“A great example of DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers at work: L2 will lock halfway when pulled for a zoomed-in Focus Aim (this also highlights enemy weak spots in red). Pull fully down to activate your weapon’s alt-fire mode. You can monitor alt-fire cooldown with your HUD and keep an ear out for a specific audio ping that plays when the recharge is complete. But there’s a cool detail that’s DualSense controller specific: If you keep the trigger pulled after discharge, you’ll feel a low-level vibration that’ll steadily increase in intensity, matching the weapon’s alt-fire recharge cycle.”

According to the new preview, the 3D audio design will definitely improve the Returnal experience, which will let players find the enemy via sounds.

“While wearing the Pulse 3D Wireless headset for PS5 on one cycle, I registered the sound of an enemy approaching from the rear. I whirled round, freezing my aim exactly where it was spawning, taking it out before it could pounce.”

Returnal will launch on April 30 for PlayStation 5.

iPhone SE Plus might arrive with a ‘Notchless’ Design in 2023

iPhone SE Plus smartphone has already created a buzz in huge amounts but we may not see that handset hitting the market very soon. Apple iPhone SE Plus might not be revealed at all this year because it is expected to feature a radical design change, such as a notch-less display. The famous Display analyst Ross Young has predicted that iPhone SE Plus will be Apple’s first affordable handset to feature a punch-hole camera at the front. Also, it might sport a 6.1-inch display.

If this prediction happens to be true, then the US giant won’t be able to use any of its previous smartphone designs from the year 2021. This is because all the iPhone 13 variants are expected to arrive with a notch whereas the iPhone SE Plus is expected to be a notch-less device. The well-known analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, also had a prediction of his own.

He expects Apple to unveil some iPhone models with a punch-hole display in 2022. In this case, Apple will be able to use 2022 smartphone models to launch iPhone SE Plus by 2023. They might only use the base frame of iPhone 14 if they are launched by next year. The same frame can be utilized further in the making of the iPhone SE Plus. Unfortunately, much is not known about the possible smartphone which Apple might launch in 2022.

Ming-Chi Kuo also mentioned that iPhone SE Plus might not have Face ID support at all! It might come with a Touch ID that is integrated into the side-mounted power button. In reality, it is the iPad 4 which became the first device to feature a power button Touch ID. Thus, a possibility that Ming-Chi Kuo might be correct about this prediction. We are talking about a device that is still a bit far from here so let’s wait and see what Apple has in store to throw at us.

Sergio Aguero’s future could remain in England, but at Chelsea

0

Sergio Aguero’s contract with Manchester City expires at the end of the season and the player is set to leave after a decade being spent with the Blues of Manchester. According to renowned Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, he wasn’t even approached by the authorities at Manchester City regarding a contract extension.

The Argentinian intends on staying in England and given that Liverpool and Manchester United are out of the question due to his loyalty for their club, Chelsea could be the only possible destination for the player given their financial strength.

Will It Be Manchester City or Liverpool That Lifts the Premier League Trophy?
Sergio Aguero is tearing down his enemies by his goals

The Blues will be looking to replace Olivier Giroud, whose contract ends in the summer and an experienced professional like Aguero could be the perfect name to succeed the Frenchman at the Bridge.

The player himself stated that City were really unclear with their communication regarding his future and that it was only at the beginning of the ongoing week that manager Pep Guardiola and the authorities sat down and discussed things with him.

Aguero goes down as the best striker in not only the history of Manchester City but also in the Premier League, having scored some of the most crucial goals for the Sky Blues over the last ten years.

Barcelona is another strong candidate for the player’s signature, and the presence of Lionel Messi at the club only adds to the leverage that the Spanish outfit can have on the move. Messi and Aguero are best friends off the pitch, and also share rooms during international duty.

TSMC promises $100 Billion Investment over three years, cancels price cuts

0

The world’s biggest contract chipmaker, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) is asking clients to accept price hikes as the company ramps up investment to deal with a “structural and fundamental increase” in chip demand.

Dr. C.C. Wei, TSMC’s CEO, told clients in a letter that the Taiwanese company plans to invest $100 billion over the three years through 2023 in advanced semiconductor technologies, according to a letter by the CEO seen Nikkei Asia. TSMC announced a record-high capital expenditure of up to $28 billion for this year alone.

“We are seeing a structural and fundamental increase in underlying demand driven by key long-term growth megatrends including 5G and high-performance computing,” Wei said in the letter.

The Covid-19 pandemic has brought about changes to the global economy, altering how people work, learn and live. Wei told clients that this year for four quarters, TSMC will also “suspend wafer price reductions starting December 31”.

“We believe that this modest action is the least disruptive option to supply chains so that TSMC can deliver our mission of providing leading semiconductor technologies and manufacturing capability to you in a sustainable manner,” Wei said.

After their products go into mass production and run smoothly, TSMC usually lowers prices each quarter for its chip design clients, however, this year price cuts are being suspended.

TSMC is by far the leader of its industry as it supplies almost all of the world’s major chip developers worldwide including Apple, Qualcomm, and Nvidia. Taiwan is a hub for chipmakers as TSMC is joined by other companies here, including United Microelectronics and Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corp., who play a central role in the global semiconductor supply chain.

The chipmaking companies of Taiwan have agreed to back their government’s call to help accelerate production for automotive chips to help the global car industry. The global chip shortage is a fast-spreading issue as it has already hit consumer electronics as well as industrial computers and networking equipment.

TSMC’s three-year $100 billion investment plan will include expanding existing fabs and building “greenfield” chip manufacturing plants, according to the CEO’s letter, which also stated that TSMC has already commenced the process of hiring thousands of employees, acquired land and equipment, and started construction of facilities in multiple sites globally.

The U.S. state of Arizona is already witnessing a $12 billion TSMC chip facility on the rise while the company is also expanding in multiple cities in Taiwan, including building the world’s most advanced chip production technology, its 3nm chip facility, in Tainan, a southern Taiwanese city.

TSMC’s plants have been running at 100% utilization in the past 12 months and still it has not been able to fulfill the demand.

“The increased capacity will improve supply certainty and help protect complex global supply chains that rely on semiconductors,” he said. “We ask for your patience as we expedite the building of new fabs and capacity.”

Mark Liu, TSMC Chairman, explained that the U.S.-China trade dispute coupled with the acceleration of digital transformation brought about by COVID-19, have led to the semiconductor shortage.

“We see fundamental increase for chip demand brought by pandemic-driven digital transformation on top of the 5G and AI megatrend … on that part, TSMC will have time and will have the financial resources to build additional capacity to address the increasing need,” Liu told reporters on Tuesday.

However, Liu said that it is “economically unrealistic” for all countries to “onshore” additional chip production, warning that this could lead to more unprofitable capacity.

TSMC confirmed the investment plan in a statement to Nikkei Asia. “In order to keep up with demand, TSMC expects to invest $100 billion over the next three years to increase capacity to support the manufacturing and R&D of advanced semiconductor technologies. TSMC is working closely with our customers to address their needs in a sustainable manner.”

Haaland only wants Barcelona or Real Madrid move according to reports in Spain

0

As per reports coming out of Spain yesterday, Erling Haaland’s father and agent Mino Raiola were spotted in Barcelona and Madrid to discuss the projects in place at the two rival clubs in the race for the Norwegian wonderkid. They are set to travel to England today to discuss the plans that the Premier League clubs have in place for their futures to see if Haaland would benefit from going there.

However, despite different clubs being interested in his services from across the continent, Mundo Deportivo reports that the player himself is only willing to leave Dortmund for either Barcelona or Real Madrid.

Manchester City lead race for Erling Haaland from England

The two Spanish giants are the biggest clubs in the world, and are also more financially powerful than the rest, but that cannot be said for Barcelona right now owing to their humongous debt. Moreover, the financial restrictions in place for football clubs in Spain could make the negotiations even more difficult for Madrid and Barcelona.

If Haaland is to leave Dortmund this summer, the buying party will have to bid in excess of €150 million for his services. Moreover, a total commission worth €40 million for Raiola and Alf Inge Haaland could shoot the transfer fee up to €200 million easily.

Erling Haaland's stats show his greatness even at 20

The future is still uncertain when it comes to the player, but if he stays at Dortmund this summer, then he will surely leave in 2022 when his release clause kicks in. Valued at €75 million, the money will have to be paid in one installment which makes it very difficult for clubs to commit to the transfer.

Messi states his demands to stay at Barcelona

0

Lionel Messi was all set to leave Barcelona last summer, with the Argentinian handing in a transfer request through burofax. However, he has ended up staying for the 20/21 season and his contract with the Blaugrana is set to expire at the end of the season, and he will be a free agent at that point.

However, the player is still loyal to Barcelona and is willing to extend his contract if and only if his demands are met. The first of his demands is to be more accessible to the Technical Director of the team, Ramon Planes.

Lionel Messi becomes the Player of the Decade by IFFHS

Secondly, being a La Masia graduate himself, Messi knows the potential of the players coming through the academy and hence, wants the club to put more faith in the youngsters who come through the academy than it has done in recent years.

This will help the young players coming in to perform to their best knowing that their club has faith in their abilities. Additionally, Messi himself has an incredible relationship with them which only gives them more confidence on the pitch.

Lastly, the club captain is aware of the difficult financial situation at Barcelona but has asked the club to invest in at least one marquee signing to make sure that their intent of getting back to their best is received loud and clear.

Only when these demands are met, will Messi fully commit to staying at Barcelona and as understood by the reports coming out of France, the player has faith that Joan Laporta will bring Barcelona back to their best.

What Raiola’s travels to Spain indicated for Haaland’s future

0

Erling Haaland is the talk of the footballing world right now, and has been since the beginning of the calendar year. The player’s agent, Mino Raiola was reportedly in Barcelona the day before yesterday in the morning, and met with the representatives of the club.

Before the Camp Nou faithful could get over excited about Raiola’s presence in the city, the agent and Erling Haaland’s father travelled to Madrid in the afternoon to discuss matters with the representatives of Real Madrid, their arch rivals and competitors in the race for Haaland.

While nothing has been agreed between either club, the point of the meeting was to sit down and discuss the project, the future and the prospect of Erling Haaland moving to their club from Borussia Dortmund. As mentioned by Fabrizio Romano on his social media handles, the race is indeed going to be a long one for the 20-year-old.

Dortmund are well aware of the situation surrounding their prized asset and will not accept any bid less than €150 million this summer. That amount will have to go down by half next summer, since the release clause in his contract comes into play and will be worth €70 million.

Whether or not Dortmund choose to part ways with the Norwegian international will also depend on their position at the end of the season, their Champions League qualification in particular.

Premier League clubs of the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Liverpool are the only other major clubs in the market for a striker and have the ability to spend the sort of money required to sign a talent like Haaland.

PSG name their price for Kylian Mbappe this summer

0

Reports surrounding Kylian Mbappe and his situation at PSG have been growing in number, with various sources reporting that the player feels uncomfortable in France. The main reason behind this is the fact that he has been criticised heavily by the people and the media in his home country.

Hence, the player is willing to move away from France to someplace that he feels more comfortable at and ease. This is resulting in him avoiding contract negotiations with the club, who are still trying to keep him with them.

But an alternative in case they do not reach an agreement with the player soon will be to cash in on him, and the transfer fee that the French Champions are looking for right now is rumoured to be in the region of €120-€150 million, which is a far way down from their days of asking for a straight €200 million for the player.

The impatience from PSG surrounding the future of the player could result in a club like Liverpool, Real Madrid or Barcelona swooping in and capturing the player for a relatively lower price than the one that was quoted earlier. The main reason behind the urgency to get rid of him in case they cannot get him to sign a new deal is due to the fact that his contract expires in 2022.

Hence, something will have to give this summer or the player will end up leaving for free next year.
