Liverpool considering a player plus cash deal for Sevilla star Lucas Ocampos

Liverpool is considering a move for Sevilla winger Lucas Ocampos the next summer in a sensational swap deal.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is monitoring the progress of the Argentine. According to a report by La Razon, the German coach can offer a player plus cash deal involving Japanese international Takumi Minamino heading in the opposite direction to the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Takumi Minamino is currently on loan at Southampton. The Japanese international was lacking his first-team opportunities limited at Liverpool in the first half of the season. For more game-time, he joined the Saints on loan last January.

Since his arrival at Anfield last season, after a blistering spell at Red Bull Salzburg, it was expected that he would continue to deliver the same in the Premier League. But he failed to impress Jurgen Klopp and others with his performance. He has made just 31 appearances for Liverpool and scored only 4.

On the other hand, Argentine winger Lucas Ocampos has impressed everyone with his performance. The 26 years old has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 31 appearances across all competitions for Julen Lopetegui’s side.

Sevilla has some big financial issues recently. So, they may sell some of their key players to solve the problems. Ocampos is one of their most saleable assets.

Ocampos has a £56m release clause in his contract with the Spanish side. Liverpool hopes to get their man by offering Minamino, who is valued at around £10m, with another £40m.

It will be gain for both the parties if the deal goes through.

After EURO 2020 was postponed to this year following the lockdown, England’s hopes of hosting the entire tournament have been given a significant boost now that Prime Minister Boris Johnson has allowed spectators to attend sporting events starting May 17. 

Indoor stadia will be restricted to having capacities of 1000. In contrast, the bigger arenas in the country will have the opportunity to host 10,000 spectators or one-fourth of their individual capacities, whichever is lower. The smaller outdoor venues, on the other hand, will be permitted to host 4000 people.

While the entire scheme is in accordance with the Prime Minister’s plans of reopening the country, the future of the idea relies heavily on whether COVID cases continue to fall or not. If they do, there is a chance that all restrictions will be lifted on the attendance of live sporting events starting from June, when phase four begins. 

Wembley is set to stage England’s group stage matches, a last-16 tie, both semi-finals and the final of this summer’s European Championship, which is currently scheduled to be played in 12 cities around Europe.

The competition is set to be held from June to July 11, with 12 cities across Europe taking turns in playing host to the various teams participating in the prestigious competition. London, Glasgow, Dublin, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, St Petersburg, Bilbao, Munich, Budapest, Baku, Rome and Bucharest are the various cities where matches will be held. 

However, should there be an outbreak of cases in any of the venues, UEFA will most likely want to relocate the matches, and Britain has responded positively to the idea proposed by the governing body of football across the continent.

On Sunday, the Minnesota Timberwolves lost to the New York Knicks 103-99 and fell to a league-worst record of 7-24. Shortly after the game, the team announced that they had fired head coach Ryan Saunders. On Monday, the Wolves already had their new coach in place as they officially inducted Chris Finch as Saunders’ replacement. 

“I would like to thank Glen Taylor and Gersson Rosas for this incredible opportunity to be the head coach of the Minnesota Timberwolves,” said Finch, in the announcement. “I look forward to working hand and hand with Gersson to build and lead a team that Timberwolves fans will be proud of. We have excellent pieces in place and I can’t wait to get to work.”

The Athletic’s Shams Charania also reported that Finch will join the Timberwolves as their full-time coach and not on an interim basis.

34-year-old Saunders was in his third season coaching Minnesota. He compiled a 43-93 record (.316) in more than two seasons with the Timberwolves, who are off to a league-worst 7-24 start this season.

51-year-old Finch joined the Raptors staff in November after assistant Nate Bjorken left for the Indiana Pacers. Since 2011, he has been an assistant coach with the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets and New Orleans Pelicans, before joining Toronto.

The battleground, Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad (now Sardar Patel Stadium) for the third Test between India and England is all set to take place. India would target a triumph over the opposition when they face each other in the historic pink-ball Test starting from 24 February, as both the teams are currently tied on 1-1 in the four-match Test series.

Team India won the second Test by 317 runs, while England was victorious in the opening Test by 277 runs. Both Men in Blue and team England are on the edge of the ICC Test Championship final, which is finalized to be played in the iconic Lord’s later this year. Though India has the experience of only two pink-ball Tests, one which was played in India and another away one from home, in Australia. Albeit they lost the last pink-ball Test against Australia in December 2020. The Men in Blue have won only one pink-ball Test against Bangladesh, which was played in Eden Gardens in Kolkata. However, the lawyer has plans to turn things around this time, and Freixa’s plans involve signing three-star players to help the team on the pitch. 

“We have closed an agreement with an investor who will contribute 250 million for Barça.

“For the 2021-22 season, we will be able to sign three stars, two in attack and one in defence.

“We have talked about the possibility of securing the signings for next season. Barça will have the competitive team that it has to have and that now it does not have. Everything will be a consequence of work. It is impossible that Koeman does not like them, they are unique players.”

Considering the €1.173 billion debt that Barcelona currently has on their books, a further investment of €250 million is not the best way to sort things out, since the club is currently in a dire financial crisis. 

Here is what Victor Font, another Presidential candidate, had to say about Barcelona’s crippling debt: 

“Barça, economically, is a train that goes at 200 km/h against a wall. If we do nothing, we can put the club’s ownership model at risk,”

And it is hard to disagree with Font given that the club has been struggling to pay the salaries of its players in recent times as well.

In Ashes of the Singularity benchmark, the upcoming mid-range card has been tested by reviewers because as per Videocardz, reviewers have been provided with press drivers to test the GPU for day one review.

It has been tested twice, one result is predicted to be at stock, while the other one is while overclocking. In the Crazy 1080p benchmark, the RTX 3060 scored a healthy 6600 points or 67.8 average framerate while in the second test the score increased to 6800 points or 69.8 FPS on average.

If you consider the average score of 6700 points, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is almost 19% faster than its predecessor, the RTX 2060. This also makes the card even faster than RTX 2070 with a 9% performance advantage, however, whether or not it is faster than the claimed RTX 2080 Super will be a thing to look out for in the coming days.

Starfield is going to be released in 2021, according to Insider

The highly-anticipated Starfield from Bethesda is aiming for a 2021 release. ‘NateDrake’, the industry insider told on the RestEra forums over the weekend in a thread dedicated to Jeff Grubb’s recent quotes about the upcoming Microsoft/Bethesda event.

A few months ago, the insider said that the intended target of Microsoft and Bethesda was to release the game later this year. Though it’s not known that how the pandemic might have affected the gaol.

“There has been a strong hope & desire to have Starfield launch this yr”, the insider writes. “How major the impacts due to COVID have been on the title is anyone’s guess, but 2021 was the intended goal for release as of a few months ago.”

Via a follow-up post, ‘NateDrake’ pointed towards that he is not entirely certain about the release frame. This is also due to Starfield being a game of Bethesda, which appears to be getting delayed quite often.

“Right, I’m not saying it’ll 100% for certain happen; but, as of late last year, I was hearing the goal was to launch this year. But it is a Bethesda game and delays or issues may arise to prevent the release from coming”, the insider added.

Redmi teases its soon-to-be-released RedmiBook Pro laptops

Redmi is gearing to shock its customers with some interesting announcements. According to sources, the manufacturer has planned a presentation on February 25th for its upcoming laptop RedmiBook Pro and its new edition in the K series smartphones, Redmi k40.

We already know that the RedmiBook Pro will have a backlit keyboard and will feature an aluminum body with a hinge. It will also have USB Type-C and HDMI connectors.

But in the recent post by the company, we can see the entire device in its full glory. The images reveal a backlit keyboard, large trackpad, and thin-bezel display.

As reported earlier the company will launch two variants for its RedmiBook Pro. The 15 and 14 inches models and will be powered by Intel’s 11th generation processors. The machine will also feature Nvidia GeForce MX450 graphics.

But the recent update from the company indicates that the soon-to-be-released RedmiBook Pro series laptops will consider the RedmiBook Pro 15 series with Intel Tiger Lake-H35 processors and the RedmiBook Pro 15S range powered by AMD Ryzen 5000H chips.  And the company has also revealed that Thunderbolt 4/USB4 is on board.

The latest images shown by the manufacturer features a dedicated Thunderbolt 4 port which is located a the left-hand side of the model. Redmi dictates that the laptop can be easily connected to two external 4K displays or even one external 8K display.

According to sources, the availability of the Thunderbolt 4 port will only be limited to the laptops Tiger Lake variants and not other models. as such we can atleast expect other variants to carry USB Type-C.
