Assassin’s Creed Mirage will officially be the next Assassin’s Creed game

0

Finally, we get to know about the name of the next Assassin’s Creed game, and it will be called the Assassin’s Creed Mirage following Assassin’s Creed Valhalla that launched almost two years back. As we know this is one of the most popular franchise by Ubisoft and it has consistently been delivering new games every two years now.

To continue that trend for years, Ubisoft via Assassin’s Creed’s social media handles has announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be announced on September 10th at its annual event called Ubisoft Forward that will held be on 12PM PT.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage – What Can You Expect?

As we can see from the poster, the scene hovers around an old era as the soldiers can be seen using spears and a form of old market is depicted. Interestingly, this will be the thirteenth major installment by Ubisoft and the Assassin you notice as we know is Basim, the same character from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in his iconic white robes.

The blue and red sleeves as well as the sword does match his character and so his role in the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage game will be interesting because as it stands, Ubisoft will somehow continue the journey of Basim into this new game.

Previously, we heard rumours that an expansion would come of the game which indeed has been turned out to be a standalone game, launching this year. This seems true and if rumours are to be believed this game won’t be as humongous as we have seen with the last two Assassin’s Creed titles including Valhalla and Odyssey but will focus more on the actions along with story.

More will eventually be discussed as next week Ubisoft launches the game alongside other games as it does during its annual event and also gamers can expect upcoming Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which could turn out to be a mix and match of various Assassin’s Creed games in last 15 years and act as a new universe altogether.

Let’s see what Ubisoft have in-store for us on September 10th! We predict the game will be made available to play in November as it was previously with Valhalla.

OFFICIAL: Kalyani Chaubey defeats Bhaichung Bhutia to become the new AIFF president

Kalyani Chaubey who has been the former goalkeeper of India and BJP MLA at the moment has been victorious in the AIFF President’s elections with support from 33 state associations. He had beaten the former skipper of India, Bhaichung Bhutia. After his meeting in Delhi, he gained a lot of support for the presidential election. Karnataka’s NA Haris got elected as the new Vice- President for AIFF.

  • Treasurer
Kosaraju Gopalakrishna ( Andhra Pradesh) 1
    Ajay Kipa (Arunachal Pradesh) 32

“Focus on grassroots level football and empowering the States is something which Chaubey and I are keen on and we will listen to all States and then move forward with our agenda,” said NA Haris

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) on Friday got an ex-player as its first president in 85 years. He was a former goalkeeper with Mohun Bagan and East Bengal and won the election by 33-1. This result was speculated since Bhutia had fewer supporters in the voter list that consisted of state association representatives.

Besides being an ex-footballer, Chaubey is a BJP MLA as well. he lost his seat in the last parliamentary election for the Krishnanagar seat in West Bengal. He played for both Mohun Bagan and East Bengal.

Both Bhutia and Chaubey were teammates at East Bengal at one point. N A Haris a sitting Congress MLA became the vice-president. Kipa Ajay defeated Gopalakrishnan Kosaraju of Andhra Pradesh for the treasurer’s post.

Chaubey was nominated from Gujarat State Football Association having a back-end support from 33 associations. This helped him defeat Bhaichung Bhutia in a 33-1 vote.

Though Bhutia lot the elections, still he will be a member of the Executive Committee. It’s sad that he couldn’t even get his state association representative as proposer or seconder for filing the nomination papers.

Campa Cola: Making a Comeback | Owned by Reliance Industries | Relaunching During Diwali

0

In the 1990s, Campa Cola, an Indian-made cola beverage, was more popular than any of our favorite cold drink brands and was certainly closer to everyone’s heart. Before two US-based cola goliaths contributed to the eventual downfall of the desi cola brand, Campa Cola had a significant presence in the Indian market for more than two decades.

By 1999, Campa Cola had disappeared from grocery store shelves, but it is now making a comeback thanks to Reliance Industries, which intends to revive the beverage by this year’s Diwali. Reliance Industries purchased the Campa brand this week to expand its FMCG business, and it plans to relaunch its Cola product by October, just in time for Diwali.

Reliance Industries reportedly paid roughly Rs 22 crore for the brand from the Delhi-based Pure Drinks Group and announced that it would relaunch the Campa cola by October of this year. Three flavors of Campa Cola will be reintroduced, including the original cola, lemon, and orange.

With this, the brand will try to compete with other, comparable cola goods like Coca-Cola and PepsiCo, which in the 1990s gradually caused Campa to go out of business. While Coca-Cola acquired the desi cold drink brands Thums Up, Limca, Gold Spot, Citra, and Maaza from Parle in 1993, ensuring their continuous market presence, Campa Cola was exempt from any such acquisitions. According to reports, the product will be sold in Kirana stores that buy Reliance products, JioMart locations, and Reliance Retail stores.

Reliance Targets FMCG Market

The Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market is where Reliance Industries intends to compete. Isha Ambani, the director of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd (RRVL), recently announced during the firm’s 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) that the company would begin selling FMCG products this year.

Reliance Industries, according to reports, has identified about a dozen potential brands that it may acquire or collaborate with to strengthen the FMCG industry. The exorbitant prices demanded have already caused a few deals to fall through. Reliance aims to pursue modest transactions worth a few crores or less, a corporate executive told the Economic Times.

Reliance Retail on WhatsApp was previously introduced by the business in association with Meta and Jio Mart, enabling users to place grocery orders over WhatsApp. Additionally, the company is in advanced talks with the brands of soap, namkeen, and culinary oils.

Campa Cola and Coca Cola

The recently purchased cola brand Campa was made at its Shankar Market headquarters and was a quintessential Delhi brand. Since the production’s debut in the 1970s, it has been a major success.

After Coca-Cola was requested to leave the nation in 1977 by the former Janata Party administration over suspected violations of the Foreign Exchange Regulations Act, the Pure Drinks Group, which also owns the Le Méridien hotel in Delhi, introduced Campa Cola. Along with Coca-Cola, the then-Janata government has requested that other global corporations like IBM leave the nation.

In the post-emergency administration presided over by former PM Morarji Desai, Goerge Fernandes served as the Minister of Industry. He had urged that the Coca-Cola company adhere to the rules and reduce its equity holding in its Indian affiliates to 60%.

Fernandes also asked Coca-Cola Company to give Indian stockholders access to the concentrate’s formula. A majority of the shares, according to the firm, could be transferred, but not the equation, which it presumed was a trade secret.

The company exited the Indian market as a result since they were unable to import Coke concentrate due to a previous government decision. However, it made a strong recovery and has maintained a sizable presence ever since the P V Narasimha Rao administration liberalized the Indian market in October 1993.

Cola vanished in 1999

It is noteworthy that Pure Drinks Group (PDG) was the first to bring Coca-Cola to India in 1949 and that, up until the 1970s, it was the country’s only authorized manufacturer and distributor of soft drinks. In the 1970s, as Coca-Cola left the Indian markets, the PDG then introduced Campa Cola.

After 1977, Campa Cola took over as Delhi’s preferred cold beverage for almost 15 years. The brand gained popularity quickly and was produced in more than 50 facilities nationwide, including four in Delhi. According to reports, the CP factory was the first to produce Campa Cola, with the other three factories being at Moti Nagar, Najafgarh, and Okhla.

Competition in the Market

Later, comparable goods started to appear on the market to challenge Campa Cola. The Parle Group introduced Thums Up, which eventually had control over Mumbai’s clients. Thumbs Up and other brands owned by Parle, Limca, Gold Spot, Citra, and Maaza were later acquired by Coca-Cola in 1993.

In light of the dominance of their brands, Campa Cola’s production also decreased and eventually ceased after Coca-Cola made a comeback in 1993 and Pepsi entered the market in 1989. Local businesses were unable to compete with American companies’ massive advertising budgets, and by 1999, all Campa production facilities had been closed.

credits – asianatimes.com

Campa has attempted to reenter the market numerous times, most recently in 2019, however, due to a lack of financial clout, it has been unable to compete with long-standing businesses.

With the brand now owned by Reliance Industries, the product will be relaunched by October, just in time for Diwali. RIL had the resources and distribution clout to compete with the international brands, and Campa Cola could swiftly spread throughout India as a well-known cold beverage.

“Through our latest innovations, Samsung is providing more open, more connected, and smarter experiences for everyone,” said Benjamin Braun, Chief Marketing Officer, of Samsung Europe. “We are continuing our mission to bring game-changing solutions to support your lifestyle, offer new ways to be entertained, all while challenging how we can look after our planet.”

Helping Consumers Live More Sustainably

To create the ultimate sustainable home experience and to become the No.1 energy efficiency brand, Samsung is combining SmartThings-based connectivity with the energy efficiency built right into its home appliance products. Customers are empowered to make eco-conscious decisions with the help of SmartThings Energy, which monitors usage patterns and provides real-time data, making it easier for users to understand how they are consuming energy.

By 2023, 100% of Samsung’s major home appliances will be Wi-Fi enabled and offer the SmartThings Energy service by default, allowing consumers to continuously reduce energy usage with ease. What’s more, Samsung appliances will go beyond the current highest energy rating to deliver an extra 10% of energy savings.

Using the sustainable solutions recommended by SmartThings Energy and implementing them through the help of intuitive features like AI Energy Mode, customers can take steps towards lowering consumption at home by switching compatible smart appliances to energy saving mode.

The Bespoke AI™ Washer offers AI Ecobubble™, which turns detergent into bubbles that quickly get absorbed into the laundry. This delivers the same level of cleanliness while reducing energy usage by up to 70%. Users can also reduce energy waste with AI Wash Cycle, which identifies optimal levels of water and detergent, and then adjusts soaking, rinsing and spinning times.

The Digital Inverter Motor in washers and dryers, as well as the Digital Invertor Compressor in refrigerators, are covered for 20 years by the most comprehensive warranty Samsung has offered yet, to assure customers that their appliances won’t need replacing any time soon.

For more sustainable entertainment, Samsung introduced the SolarCell Remote, which charges by exposure to light and radio frequencies from devices like Wi-Fi routers. Samsung estimates that over seven years, the company could prevent more than 200 million batteries from entering landfills. This year, Samsung is opening up the licence for this design to the public, so that other manufacturer can be more sustainable too.

Samsung is also contributing to a cleaner environment by repurposing ocean-bound plastics. The company is repurposing discarded fishing nets, using them to create new material for use in mobile products including the Galaxy Z Flip4, Z Fold4 and Buds2 Pro. By the end of 2022, Samsung could prevent more than 50 tons of plastic from entering the world’s oceans.

Samsung has found a new partner in TikTok, the home of the most dynamic community of content creators right now. Together, Samsung and TikTok will work to find some of the most exciting music makers creating right now and provide unrivalled opportunities for them to build their careers in the industry.

Through SmartThings, Samsung is not only on a mission to enhance product connectivity. The company is already enabling new experiences, healthier living, better entertainment, and more sustainable lifestyles. But that is only the beginning: along with products from 300 other brands and 230 million registered SmartThings users, the possibilities for a smarter life are truly limitless.

VMware Eases Hybrid Work Model Implementations with Advanced Automation

0

Innovations Across Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Digital Employee Experience, Unified Endpoint Management and Workspace Security Offerings Help IT Do More with Less

Bangalore: – VMware Explore US 2022 (September 2nd, 2022) – A majority of companies have implemented or plan to implement a hybrid work model moving forward. However, supporting a hybrid work model creates new speedbumps for IT. VMware today outlined how autonomous workspaces powered by data science will ease this burden. It also unveiled innovations across its Anywhere Workspace platform that will inject automation into organizations’ end-user computing environments, enabling IT teams to do more with less.

“The reality of hybrid work is each employee, and each device is a front door into the organization and its resources. IT must not only make that front door secure but also welcoming as employees access apps from anywhere. The only way IT teams will be able to support hybrid work is by implementing simplified, unified, and automated processes,” said Shankar Iyer, senior vice president and general manager, End-User Computing, VMware. “Autonomous Workspaces represent the next evolution of managing digital workspaces, and VMware is once again pioneering the path forward for organizations.”

Journey to Autonomous Workspaces

According to Gartner®, “By 2027, unified endpoint management and digital employee experience tools will converge to drive autonomous endpoint management, reducing human effort by at least 40%.”(2)  At VMware Explore 2022 US, VMware will outline the journey of digital workspace from being manual and task-centric to an outcomes-driven autonomous workspace. The future of hybrid work will drive an evolution of the digital workspace – one that injects data science and proactive automations across endpoint management, security and end-user experience. This will enable a context-aware autonomous workspace that delivers a few primary outcomes:

  • Self-configuring: Workspaces are configured to a desired state instead of constantly monitoring for changes and enforcing reactive policies.
  • Self-healing: The solution intelligently detect and isolate end-user experience incidents, accelerate change management, and automatically remediate issues to normal working state.
  • Self-securing: The solution can take proactive actions to better secure workspace access, quarantine apps or devices, and remediate anomalies to enable a return to desired posture.

Innovations Across Anywhere Workspace

VMware Anywhere Workspace will include all tools needed to deliver autonomous workspaces.

Today at VMware Explore, VMware unveiled how it is advancing self-configuring, self-healing and self-securing outcomes across four key technology areas that are delivered by the Anywhere Workspace platform:

  • VDI and DaaS
  • Digital Employee Experience
  • Unified Endpoint Management
  • Security

VDI and DaaS

Hybrid work is driving demand for multi-cloud VDI. VMware is introducing a next generation of VMware Horizon Cloud that will enable multi-cloud agility and flexibility. This new release represents a major update to Horizon Cloud on Microsoft Azure that can dramatically simplify the infrastructure that needs to be deployed inside customer environments, reducing infrastructure costs in some cases by over 70% while increasing scalability and reliability of VMware’s DaaS platform.(3)

The new “Thin Edge” infrastructure continues to leverage the Horizon Control plane–a VMware-managed service that includes hybrid support and features like app management, universal brokering, image management, monitoring, and more. Plus, this next-gen Horizon Cloud is API-driven, so customers, partners, and ISVs will be able to build tools, services, and automations. Customers with Horizon subscription licenses are entitled to the new and improved Horizon Cloud at no additional charge.

VMware will also introduce VMware Horizon Managed Desktop – a flexible, cloud-hosted service that delivers fully-managed virtual desktops and apps with choice of deployment options: on-premises, hybrid or public cloud. This will better enable secure access for a distributed workforce for wherever work takes them. The solution relieves IT teams from time-consuming operations, provides cost-management with predictable OpEx spending, speeds deployments for faster time to value, and rapidly scales to meet changing workforce demands.

Additionally, Google and VMware are collaborating to bring access to any app on any device for the hybrid workforce. Organizations will be able to use hundreds of certified endpoints to connect to Horizon virtual desktops and apps. And now, with Google Chromebook as a validated endpoint, industries like healthcare can benefit from delivering a great user experience for more secure access to corporate resources.

“We rely on VMware Horizon to support access to corporate resources for our employees,” said Yehoshua Israel, IT director, Aperion Care, Inc. “In conversation with the Google product team, we learned that ChromeOS is a good fit to connect to Horizon for our environment, and our time from unboxing to ready for deployment is about three minutes. Using a managed guest session, the ChromeOS system is simple to use, locked down, HIPAA-compliant, and inexpensive. The transition from Windows-based laptops to Chromebooks with Horizon has been seamless.”

Digital Employee Experience

VMware is broadening the coverage of its Digital Employee Experience solutions beyond Workspace ONE UEM managed devices to now include VMware Horizon and third-party managed and unmanaged devices. This will result in increased support of remote, hybrid and frontline personas.

And, to support the rising number of devices used by frontline employees, VMware is introducing a Digital Employee Experience Management (DEEM) solutions pack for customers with frontline deployments. These out-of-the box dashboards span ROI, shared-device usage, device loss, critical application performance, and more, to measure and improve mission-critical deployments.

Finally, VMware Workspace ONE is introducing DEEM Guided Root Cause Analysis capabilities. With the increase in hybrid work, organizations have struggled to scale the helpdesk to support more devices, apps, and networks. With this new feature, machine learning algorithms will help IT correlate all the relevant data points to recommend possible causes with probability assigned; enabling IT to solve issues more quickly, create automations to prevent other users from experiencing the issue, and restore productivity for impacted employees.

Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)

VMware continues to roll out advanced UEM capabilities now supporting multi-platform automation and orchestration with the expansion of Workspace ONE Freestyle Orchestrator to mobile devices and third-party apps. Freestyle Orchestrator – a modern, no-/low-code automation framework in UEM – provides support for Windows and Mac desktop operating systems. Since its launch, the tool has seen a significant adoption with more than 26 million automation runs that are designed to help IT teams eliminate complex and manual configurations tasks. Freestyle Orchestrator continues to offer administrators the flexibility to create these automation workflows to fit specific process requirements for their organization, and now with the extended platform support, expected to further increase IT efficiency and productivity.

VMware is also driving innovation by adding platform breadth of support and depth of management in its industry-recognized UEM solution. Additional UEM enhancements now include availability of multi-user mode for Windows OS – a use case that has seen significant adoption in both frontline shared use and in-office device loaner or hoteling scenarios as employees return to work. VMware is also announcing availability in this quarter of a distribution-agnostic Linux endpoint solution, XR Hub for AR/VR devices; and Tech Previews of its next-gen Windows Update management, support for new Chrome OS APIs for Education, work profile on Android AMAPI, and a dynamic, data-driven UI for iOS and Windows day-1 new policy support.

Workspace Security

Earlier this year, VMware announced a key innovation in the form of Workspace ONE Mobile Threat Defense [read press release]. Today’s mobile threat landscape is diverse, and mobile workstyles call for specialized protection from phishing and application, device, and rogue network originated threats. VMware Workspace ONE Mobile Threat Defense, an add-on to the Workspace ONE UEM platform, takes mobile protection to the next level. Specifically, the solution addresses application-based threats, Web and content vulnerabilities, Zero-day threats and device vulnerabilities, and more.

AMD Ryzen 7000: DDR5-6000 RAM is the most suitable choice for the upcoming CPUs

0

The AMD Ryzen 7000 (Raphael) CPUs were just introduced. The optimal RAM for the new Zen 4 CPUs has been further discussed by AMD’s Director of Technical Marketing, Robert Hallock. By way of Bionic squash(opens in new tab), Hallock noted on AMD’s official Discord channel that the Ryzen 7000 CPUs RAM overclocking is a little different from that of the Ryzen 5000 (Vermeer) chips.

Hallock stated that it is no longer necessary to maintain a 1:1:1 ratio between the memory clock, unified memory controller clock, and infinity fabric clock (FCLK) (MEMCLK). Instead, he advises users to overclock the DDR5 memory modules and the memory controller in a 1:1 ratio while leaving the FCLK on the auto setting. Therefore, Auto:1:1 is the ideal configuration.

The AMD Zen 4 parts support DDR5-5200 memory by default and have a default FCLK of 1,733 MHz.

According to Hallock, DDR5-6000 will be the ideal level for Zen 4 in terms of price, stability, performance, availability, and simplicity. DDR4-3600 (1,800 MHz FCLK) was the sweet spot for Zen 3, while DDR4-4000 (2,000 MHz FCLK) was the industry benchmark. However, Hallock noted that there are rare circumstances where exceeding a 2,000 MHz FCLK could result in superior performance. However, most people shouldn’t make it their first priority.

AMD Ryzen 7000: DDR5-6000 RAM is the most suitable choice for the upcoming CPUs

A 16GB (2x8GB) DDR5-6000 memory kit now sells for $165, while a 32GB (2x16GB) kit costs $219. Half as much money can buy you a nice DDR4-4000 memory kit. However, because AMD chose to discontinue support for DDR4 on Zen 4, we were previously aware that switching to AMD’s AM5 socket costs a little money.

Although the cost of DDR5 has decreased in recent months, it still costs significantly more than DDR4. Although there are no longer any shortages, manufacturing DDR5 is still more expensive. However, AMD is certain that DDR5 availability and pricing will continue to improve.

AMD Ryzen 7000: DDR5-6000 RAM is the most suitable choice for the upcoming CPUs

As usual, for the Ryzen 7000, it is advised to go with a dual-DIMM memory kit rather than a quad-DIMM setup. Signal routing is improved with dual-DIMM configurations, and the processor’s IMC is less stressed (integrated memory controller). For instance, AMD only promises support for DDR5-5200 in a 1DPC (DIMM per channel) configuration. The official memory speed reduces to DDR5-3600 in a 2DPC scenario.

Qualcomm gets sued by ARM for Acquiring Nuvea

0

For $1.4 billion, Qualcomm just completed the acquisition of Nuvia, which would strengthen its ability to create unique chipset designs and enable it to compete across numerous markets. Sadly, ARM thinks the San Diego planned to transfer Nuvia’s licences without permission, and as a result, it is being sued for its activities.

When Nuvia’s licences expired in March, ARM reportedly tried to rectify the problem, but according to British chip design company Qualcomm, ARM has failed to uphold its half of the bargain and will consequently be subject to legal ramifications. ARM issued the following statement regarding the legal action it is taking against its partner, Qualcomm, even though Qualcomm has not yet responded to the lawsuit.

ARM wants Qualcomm to get rid of all chip designs created by Nuvia before the company is acquired.

Qualcomm
credit: wccftech

“Arm takes pride in our role as innovator of the world’s most critical semiconductor IP and the billions of devices that run on Arm. These technological achievements have required years of research and significant costs and should be recognized and respected. As an intellectual property company, it is incumbent upon us to protect our rights and the rights of our ecosystem. We will work vigorously to protect what is rightfully ours and we are confident that the courts will agree with us.”

Given that Qualcomm doesn’t create its own processors, Nuvia is a crucial stepping stone for Qualcomm. Instead, it buys rights to ARM’s designs. With the acquisition, Qualcomm would be able to create unique ARM chips, just like Apple, and as a result, we might see later products that are significantly better and more worthy M1 competitors for the portable computer market. One thing to keep in mind is that by acquiring Nuvia, Qualcomm is now able to compete not only with Apple but also with Intel and AMD because they no longer need design licences to execute their jobs.
