World Cup 2022 – This is why Argentina can’t take the trophy home

0

Argentina have won their third World Cup trophy, defeating France in the finals to lift the trophy. However, they will be unable to take the trophy home – and in this article, we will see why that is the case.

The Albiceleste are now the reigning champions of South America, having won the Copa America 2021 as well as the reigning World Cup winners. They also won the Finalissima against Italy earlier this year, making it three trophies in two years.

Argentina can’t take home the real World Cup trophy – here’s why

The original World Cup trophy weighed 3.8kg, and was made of gold plated sterling silver. It was called the Jules Rimet Trophy, named after the former president of FIFA. It was in use from the very first edition of the World Cup from 1930 until 1970.

At the time, FIFA had a rule which allowed the teams that had won the competition three times to keep the trophy. And in 1970, when Brazil won the tournament for the third time – they were allowed to take the original trophy home.

But, it was stolen from a display case at the Brazilian Football Confederation headquarters in Rio de Janeiro in 1983. And since then, it has not been recovered. As a result, teams now get to take home a gold plated bronze replica trophy for security concerns.

The Google Pixel 6a managed to beat flagship phones in a blind camera test

0

The Pixel 6a launched before this time for$ 449, and against the likes of the iPhone 14 Pro Max and Galaxy S22 Ultra, the immediate conclusion would be that Google’s mid-ranger would not indeed hold a candle against similar flagships. still, that’s where the surprise was, as the affordable handset actually beats the more ultra-expensive bias in an eyeless camera test.

MKBHD also known as Marques Brownlee, a popular tech-grounded YouTuber, has just released a new videotape on his channel. In this videotape, he compared a bunch of smartphones like the Google Pixel 7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and more against one another in an eyeless camera test and some of these results might surprise you, so let’s have a look.

Google’s Pixel 6a Beats 15 Smartphones In Blind Camera Test Video

Marques Brownlee lately set up a devoted runner on his sanctioned website where he’d his large followership share in multiple rounds of voting. There were multiple orders that the followership could bounce on like the overall camera performance, standard shots, low-light images, and indeed portrayal shots. There was an aggregate of 16 smartphones with a vast maturity of them being ultra-expensive flagship grade bias. But despite being a hole against some major names like the Galaxy S22 Ultra, iPhone 14 Pro, and indeed the Pixel 7 Pro, the Google Pixel 6a took the top spot in the overall rankings.

This is relatively notable considering the camera on the Pixel 6a is the same bone that the company has employed on the Pixel series since the Pixel 2. Although, the overall results don’t show the entire picture. MKBHD’s eyeless camera test had 21.2 million votes which divided the results between three orders. In the standard test, the Oppo Find X5 Pro is the winner for regular shots. Meanwhile, the Pixel 7 Pro took the throne for portrayal shots, while the Vivo X80 Pro lead the pack in the low-light order.

Interestingly enough, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro saw some rather normal results as it only got 6th place in the standard, 10th place in the low light, and 5th place in the portrayal eyeless camera tests. In the overall average rankings, the Pixel 6a unexpectedly came first in a David and Goliath kind of fashion, with the runner-up being the Pixel 7 Pro. Rounding up the top three list was the ASUS Zenfone 9.

Samsung reduced the production of Galaxy A23 5G

0

The Samsung Galaxy A53 5G‘s product volume has reportedly been reduced by the South Korean electronics company Samsung. The number of smartphones produced in the future could drop by as important as 70. Let’s look more nearly at the factual intentions behind Samsung’s choice to make and release smaller Galaxy A23 5G handsets to the request.

Samsung reduced the production of Galaxy A23 5G

Samsung Cuts Production of Galaxy A23 5G By 70 Percent

According to a report by TheElec, Samsung has significantly cut its shipping target for its mid-range smartphone Galaxy A23 5G this time. The company had before estimated shipping 12.6 million(1.26 crore) units, but the number has now come down to lower than 4 million( 40 lahks) units, a reduction of 70. Company has set a target to transport 17.1 million(1.71 crores) Galaxy A23 4G and 12.6 million(1.26 crore) Galaxy A23 5G smartphones by the morning of this time.

30 million bias, or around 10 of company’s entire monthly shipping, would have been packed by both companies together. before this time, the 4G variant was introduced. Latterly on, in the time’s alternate half, the Galaxy A23 5G was released. The phone’s operation was oppressively hampered by a point that was meant to be there. The issue was bandied by Samsung with a number of mates. A month-long examination of the issue was also done by the IT mammoth to identify the problem.

Samsung reduced the production of Galaxy A23 5G

Despite the fact that the issue was fixed, the business plans to produce a smaller Galaxy A23 5G bias in the future because of the difficulties it ran into. also, Samsung will only plan to emplace about 5 million of the model in 2023. For Samsung, changing its chosen development mates was the largest change in the creation of the Galaxy A23 5G.

The 50MP wide- angle primary camera with optic image stabilization was created by Sunny Optical. Patron began working on the Galaxy A23 4G at the same time. Sources claimed Sunny Optical wasn’t to condemn the problem Samsung had with the Galaxy A23 5G. They said that the unidentified issue was the root cause because the issue the model endured negatively affected the functionality of another corridor of the phone, including the camera.

Intel Core i9-13980HX Raptor Lake CPU Appears in ASUS Next-Gen ROG STRIX Laptop

0

The Intel Core i9-13980HX Raptor Lake-HX CPU, which will power some of the quickest next-generation gaming laptops, has been discovered. Just a few days ago, it was claimed that Intel was developing on the Core i9-13980HX CPU, which when released will be the fastest laptop chip on the planet. Now, an ASUS laptop with the chip may have appeared in the Geekbench 5 database.

The Intel Core i9-13980HX Raptor Lake-HX CPU has 8 P-Cores based on the Raptor Cove architecture and 16 E-Cores based on the Gracemont architecture.

The entire setup features 24 cores and 32 threads, the same as the desktop Core i9-13900K. The CPU features the same 36 MB of L3 cache as the Core i9-12950HX/Core i9-12900HX CPUs and a maximum turbo frequency of up to 5.6 GHz, which is 600 MHz faster. The CPU will be one of several Raptor Lake-HX/H/P choices that will be available at CES 2023.

In terms of the Geekbench 5 leak, the CPU can be observed running inside an ASUS ‘ROG Strix G634JZ’ laptop with 64 GB of DDR5 memory. The remaining parameters are unknown at this time, although the power plan was set to ‘Turbo’. The CPU scored 1970 points in single-core tests and 20826 points in multi-core tests. This is identical to the 13900HX CPU result that we discussed a few days ago. This kind of performance puts laptops on par with enthusiast-grade CPUs like the Core i7-13700K or Ryzen 9 7900X.

Core i9-13980HX

However, the score appears to be rather unimpressive, as the 13980HX should outperform the 13900HX due to its 200 MHz faster clock speed. The ASUS ROG STRIX laptop may be thermally throttled if it does not meet the thermal design for the Core i9-13980HX. The second alternative is that we are looking at performance that is hampered by the power limitations of this particular laptop.

It’s also possible that this is an engineering sample or a prototype laptop design that isn’t intended for retail use. In any case, we know that cooling the Core i9-13980HX will be a challenging task for laptop manufacturers to tackle, since laptops are notoriously power-constrained when compared to desktop options. This is also not the first time that thermal throttling causes a higher-tier processor to perform similarly to a lower-tier chip.

IPL 2023 mini-auction: Curran, Green among the most expensive buys

IPL 2023 mini-auction finally came to an end. England’s Sam Curran became the most expensive player as Punjab Kings spent 18.5 crores to get the all-rounder. Australian player Cameron Green is the second most expensive buy as Mumbai Indians spent Rs 17.5 Crore to rope him. Chennai Super Kings bagged ben Stokes Rs 16.25 crore. Nicholas Pooran and Harry brook also got good deals of Rs 16 crore and Rs 13.25 crore. The former went to Lucknow Super Giants and the latter went to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Former PBKS skipper Mayank Agarwal went to Sunrisers Hyderabad for RS 8.25 crore. Uncapped players like Shivam Mavi Mukesh Kumar and Vivrant Sharma also got a place in different teams. Mavi went to Gujarat Titans for rs 6 crore, Mukesh Kumar got included in Delhi Capitals for Rs 5.5 crore, and Vivrant Sharma again went to SRH for an amount of Rs 2.6 crore.

Joe Root, Rilee Rossouw, Adam Zampa, and Shakib Al Hasan were unsold initially unsold but they got picked up by different franchises as the auction proceeded. Shockingly, big names like Tabraiz Shami, Chris Jordan, and Rassie van der Dussen didn’t get a place in any team. Unlike IPL 2022, this auction was a one-day affair, much smaller than the last one.

The most expensive pick of the auction for the Royals was Holder, who they bought for Rs 5.75 crore. They chose Zampa and Root for their respective base pricing of Rs. 1.50 crore and Rs. 1 crore. They also included uncapped Indian players including Murugan Ashwin, Akash Vashisht, KM Asif, Kunal Rathore, and Abdul PA as backup players.

EU Proposal Could Make Smartphone Batteries Replaceable Again

The European Union( EU) has now agreed on new laws and regulations aimed at making batteries more sustainable and applicable which might force smartphone makers to bring back removable batteries, the media reported. This move comes after making USB Type- C charging anchorages obligatory on all smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

EU Proposal Could Make Smartphone Batteries Replaceable Again

The EU wants to make your next phone’s battery easier to replace

According to SamMobile, as the new laws cover the entire battery life cycle, the new regulation will present a new set of challenges to consumer tech enterprises and battery manufacturers. The entire life cycle of a battery includes material birth, artificial product, and disposal.

The new European Union law will apply to all types of batteries vended in the European Union including those used in electronic bias, artificial batteries, automotive batteries, and batteries used in two-wheelers and electric vehicles( EVs), according to the report.

EU Proposal Could Make Smartphone Batteries Replaceable Again

Also, from early 2024, battery manufacturers in the EU will be needed to report the total carbon footmark of their products, from birth to recycling. This data will also be used to set a maximum CO2 limit for batteries that will come into effect as early as July 2027.

They will need to use a specific chance of recycled accouterments, similar to 16 percent cobalt, 85 percent lead, 6 percent lithium, and 6 percent nickel, the report added. However, the new regulations will insure that batteries vended in the European Union region are more terrain-friendly, eventually setting a precedent for the rest of the world, If approved.

EU Proposal Could Make Smartphone Batteries Replaceable Again

Google may have won against the Union region in a recent antitrust disquisition, but it’ll be intriguing to see the hunt Goliath and other smartphone OEMs repel the removable battery offer. The European Parliament and the Council are yet to subscribe to the law, however, maybe giving Big Tech acceptable time to gear up for a power-packed debate.

Andre Onana retires from Cameroon national team at 26

0

Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana has decided to retire from international football at the age of 26 only. The player left the Cameroon World Cup camp early, after not being played in the second game of the tournament and falling out with manager Rigobert Song.

His aggressive style of play was one of the main reasons behind the falling out with the manager. The Cameroon FA president, Samuel Eto’o, tried to intervene but was unable to find a resolution between the two parties.

Andre Onana retires from Cameroon national team

“But every story, however beautiful it may be, has its end. And my story with the Cameroonian team has come to an end. The players come and go, and the names are fleeting, but Cameroon is before any person or player. Cameroon continues to be eternal and also my love for the national team and for our people, who have always supported us no matter how difficult the moment.

My feelings will never change. My Cameroonian heart will continue to beat and wherever I go I will always fight to raise the Cameroonian flag as high as possible,” the official statement provided by Andre Onana read.

The goalkeeper earned 34 caps for his country during his brief international career and was able to finish third in the African Cup of Nations last year. And considering his ability to play at such a high level, his absence will surely be a huge blow for the team going forward.

Andrey Santos to join Chelsea for £20 million

0

Chelsea are close to signing Brazilian talent Andrey Santos during the January transfer window. The midfielder is set to make the move from Vasco da Gama in his native country, and his arrival will follow Christopher Nkunku and Datro Fofana, as deals that have already been finalised.

The 18-year-old was highly sought after in the transfer market, with the likes of Barcelona, Manchester City and Newcastle United all registering their interest in him. But, the West London side have stepped up to win the race for the youngster.

Chelsea close to signing Andrey Santos from Vasco da Gama

The transfer fee for the midfielder is around £20 million, including bonuses. And according to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer is in its final stages with the two clubs set to exchange documents soon. It has been given the here we go signal by the transfer insider, and it seems only a matter of time before the move is made official.

Andrey Santos made his senior debut at the age of 17 in 2021, and went on to become their youngest goalscorer in 2022. He plays as a box to box midfielder, and has attracted comparisons to Sergio Busquets.

He prefers to be a more conductive player to play tempo ticking passes, like Jorginho currently does. However, his long legs and frame allow him to play in transition very well. He has an incredible maturity, and joins the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka, Cesare Casadei and soon, Arsen Zakharyan, to play for Chelsea.

Real Madrid will be facing CP Cacereno, while Barcelona will be taking on InterCity of Alicante. The defending champions, Real Betis, will play UD Ibiza while Atletico Madrid take on Real Oviedo.

Espanyol vs Rayo Vallecano promises to be an impressive fixture, with the two teams of similar quality taking on each other. The others are expected to be an easy win for the dominant teams, due to the difference in squad quality. But, as we have seen in previous years, anything is possible in Cup competitions like the Copa del Rey.
