Endrick to join Real Madrid in 2024: Here we go

0

Brazilian wonderkid Endrick has agreed a pre-contract with Real Madrid for a future transfer. The deal has been given the here we go signal by Fabrizio Romano, which means that it has been agreed upon by both parties.

It should be noted that nothing has been signed as of yet, and that the player won’t be able to leave Brazil until 2024. The plan right now is to sign all the documents within December to get the deal over the line.

Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain were also in the race to sign the player. But, Los Blancos have won the race to land yet another gem from South America.

Endrick to sign for Real Madrid in 2024

The deal agreed for the forward is worth his release clause, €60 million, plus €12 million in taxes.

With the major signing for the future, Real Madrid have secured one of the highest rated talents for their project. In all likelihood, he is set to be the heir to Karim Benzema at the club. The reigning Ballon d’Or winner is in his mid-30s, but is showing no signs of slowing down.

But, he will be leaving the Spanish giants at some point. And then, Endrick is expected to take his place in the squad. For the next year and a half, he will continue to play and develop with his boyhood club, Palmeiras.

Once he arrives, Real Madrid will be able to boast of an all-Brazilian front three of Vinicius Jr, Endrick and Rodrygo Goes. Eder Militao is also part of the Brazilian contingent, in defence, making up the next generation of stars for Los Blancos.

Luis Enrique leaves Spain national team after World Cup 2022 Ro16 exit

0

Luis Enrique has been replaced as the head coach of the Spanish national team. The decision has been made official by the RFEF, and Enrique has been replaced by Luis de la Fuente. The 61-year-old has won the Euros with Spain’s youth teams, and was the man who guided the country to the silver medal at the 2020 Olympics.

He has stepped in to take charge of the senior team on one occasion, and has now been appointed the long-term manager. Luis Enrique’s contract was set to run out after the World Cup, and he refused to sign an extension until after the tournament.

Luis Enrique leaves Spanish national team

Spain exited the World Cup at the Round of 16 stage against Morocco on penalties. And Enrique took all the blame onto himself for the early exit. Now, the RFEF has decided to appoint Luis de la Fuente instead of renewing his contract.

“The RFEF energetically wishes Luis Enrique and his team the best of luck in their future professional projects. The coach earns the love and admiration of his collaborators in the national team and of the entire federation, which will always be his home,” an official statement read.

Enrique’s spell was quite impressive apart from the World Cup, achieving good results in the Nations League, and a semi-final spot in the Euros. Although the players wanted him to carry on, fans wanted to see him replaced. And now, de la Fuente has a young squad to nurture for the coming tournaments.

Cristiano Ronaldo denies rumour of leaving the Portugal national team amidst World Cup 2022

Cristiano Ronaldo was left on the bench against Switzerland in their FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 quarter-final tie. He was replaced by Goncalo Ramos in the squad who scored the first hat-trick of this tournament as Portugal won the match 6-1.

There were many rumours claiming that Ronaldo is looking to leave the Portugal national team. However, he has now come forward to set things right. He has denied all rumours claiming his departure from the Portugal national team amidst World Cup 2022.

Cristiano Ronaldo denies rumour of leaving the Portugal national team amidst World Cup 2022

Cristiano Ronaldo said: “This group is too united to be broken by external forces. A nation too brave to be intimidated by any adversary”.

“This is a true team, that will fight for the dream until the end”.

He earlier said: “If you tell me that Portugal wins the World Cup without my goals, I’ll sign that in a moment.”

The Portuguese FA said: “Reports claiming Cristiano Ronaldo threatened to leave the national team during a conversation with Fernando Santos are not true — FPF clarifies that at no time did Cristiano threaten to leave the national team in Qatar”.

The veteran exited Manchester United by mutual agreement after his interview with Piers Morgan. He publicly criticised Erik Ten Hag, the board, and the younger players at the club – which was not received very well by the club. And shortly after, the two parties decided to go their separate ways.

Ronaldo received a huge €200m contract from Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr. But nothing has been decided yet as he is fully focused on Portugal’s World Cup 2022 campaign.

Apple might soon start its iPads production in India

0

According to CNBC, Apple is considering producing some of its iPads in India in order to reduce its dependency on China. Apple has spoken with Indian officials about shifting some iPad manufacture to India, but there are obstacles to overcome, such as manufacturing competence.

There are no “specific plans” in place as of yet, but negotiations are underway, and Apple is eager to expand manufacturing outside of China. According to CNBC, India lacks “highly qualified professionals and persons with expertise in creating highly sophisticated devices,” which could stymie Apple’s attempts.

Apple has been planning to shift some manufacturing to India since 2017. The corporation began producing several older iPhone models in the nation, such as the iPhone SE, and has gradually increased iPhone production. Apple employed India for the first time to manufacture flagship iPhones with the release of the iPhone 14 models, and some of the iPhone 14 models are produced in India.

Foxconn, an Apple supplier, has also been investing in India, and Apple is thought to be seeking to manufacture around 25% of iPhones in India by 2025.

Other Apple suppliers, including as Wistron and Pegatron, have expanded to India to assist Apple in its long-term ambition of expanding manufacturing outside of China. Apple has been chastised for its dependency on China, which will be a huge issue in 2022 due to escalating tensions between the United States and China, as well as the country’s continued COVID-19 lockdowns. Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro models are currently in short supply as a result of constraints at Foxconn manufacturing facilities that have resulted in worker riots and protests.

Apple acknowledged in November that iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max shipments would be fewer than projected owing to difficulties at the Foxconn factory. Foxconn is responsible for producing over 70% of the iPhone 14 Pro variants. As a result, Apple’s holiday revenue could suffer significantly, and shipments are not expected to resume normalcy until late December at the earliest.

While Apple has been working for many years to diminish its footprint in China, The Wall Street Journal reported over the weekend that the company’s ambitions to relocate manufacture to other nations such as India and Vietnam had accelerated. Apple has instructed its suppliers to “actively plan” for the assembly of iPhones in other nations.

Intel is on track with its 4nm and 3nm process production

0

Intel revealed its process technology roadmap and its vision for chip designs that would be available in the next three to four years at the IEDM conference. Intel’s next-generation fabrication technologies — Intel 4 and Intel 3 — are on pace to be employed for high-volume manufacture (HVM) in 2023 and 2024, respectively, as predicted. Furthermore, the company’s 20A and 18A production nodes will be ready for HVM in 2024, implying that 18A will be available ahead of schedule, according to an IEEE Spectrum slide.

Next year, Intel will ship the Meteor Lake CPU, its first mass-market client processor with a multi-chiplet (or multi-tile) design, with each chiplet set manufactured using a separate process technology. Meteor Lake products from Intel will be made up of four tiles: the compute tile (CPU cores) built using Intel 4 process technology (aka 7nm EUV), the graphics tile supplied by TSMC, probably using its N3 or N5 node, the SoC tile, and the I/O tile. Furthermore, the tiles will be linked together utilising Intel’s Foveros 3D technology.

The compute tile in Meteor Lake is undoubtedly the most interesting aspect of the package because it will be manufactured on Intel 4 (formerly known as 7nm), the company’s first production node to use extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography. According to Intel, this fabrication technique is ready for mass production, however it will not be used for the HVM of Meteor Lake’s compute chiplet for some months. Given that Intel launched this computational tile in October 2021, it is not surprising that the node is already ready for production. What is surprising is that Intel has yet to confirm that this process technology is used to manufacture Ponte Vecchio’s Xe-HPC compute GPU tiles, as promised two years ago.

Intel will begin using EUV roughly four years after TSMC, which began producing chips on its N7+ node in the second quarter of 2023.

Intel must ensure that its 4nm-class node meets expectations and delivers good yields, as it will be the first node to arrive following the company’s rather unfortunate 10nm family of processes, which did not perform as expected early in its lifecycle and whose costs are higher than the company hoped several years ago.

Because Intel needs to catch up with rivals Samsung Foundry and TSMC, its Intel 4 process technology will be joined in 2023-2024 by its Intel 3 fabrication node (3nm-class). According to Intel, this technique will be ready for manufacturing in the second half of 2023. It will be used in the production of Intel’s Granite Rapids and Sierra Forest processors, both of which are high-profile items for the business. Sierra Forest is projected to be the company’s first data centre CPU with energy-efficient cores, competing against a variety of Arm-based solutions with high core counts.

Hansi Flick to continue as Germany head coach until Euro 2024

0

Hansi Flick will be staying on as the head coach of the Germany national team, despite their group stage exit from the 2022 World Cup

There were rumours about the former Bayern Munich head coach stepping down from his post. Moreover, the likes of Thomas Tuchel and Jurgen Klopp were linked as the replacements for the manager. But, an official statement has confirmed that Flick will be staying on until 2024.

Hansi Flick staying on as Germany head coach until 2024

“We have full confidence in Hansi Flick that he will master this challenge together with his team,” Bernd Neuendorf, president of the DFB, said in a statement after a crisis meeting with Hansi Flick.

“My coaching team and I are optimistic about the European Championship in our own country,” Flick said.

“We as a team can achieve much more than we showed in Qatar. We missed a great opportunity there,” he added.

“We will learn our lessons from this.”

A lot will be expected from Germany in the years ahead – especially since they host the 2020 Euros. Playing on home soil, Die Mannschaft will be expected to go out and win the trophy. But based on the performances that we saw in the World Cup, a lot of improvement needs to go into the team to reach that level.

Oliver Bierhoff, the team director for Germany, stepped down after the tournament, much to the disappointment of Hansi Flick. For this reason, it was expected that Flick also had a decent chance of leaving. But, he has decided to stay on and build the team to perform well at the 2024 Euros.
