The gadget has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 1 processor (SM7475), which is powered by a huge 5,500mAh battery.

The smartphone won’t be released with the next Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 CPU, contrary to earlier reports that said it may. The battery has a 100W quick charging capacity, as was already reported.

Man Utd receive loan offers for Mason Greenwood amidst uncertain future

Manchester United have received a number of offers for Mason Greenwood to leave on loan from Turkey. The player has not featured for them since the rape and sexual assault allegations placed against him last year.

The forward last played for Manchester United against West Ham United on January 22nd, before being arrested. He was cleared of all charges recently, with there not being enough evidence to carry on the case. But, the club has stated that they will carry out their own investigation before deciding whether the player will return to training.

Mason Greenwood receives offers to leave on loan

The player and his representatives had their first meeting with the United authorities recently. And as things stand, there is no rush to include him in the team yet.

The Red Devils recently ended their six year wait for a trophy by winning the Carabao Cup. The atmosphere in the locker room is excellent under Erik Ten Hag as well, and the higher ups see no reason to disturb that balance at this stage in the season.

There aren’t many transfer windows open at this stage of the season, with most of Europe’s big clubs closed for business. Norway, Faroe Islands and Iceland have all been rumoured as potential destinations for the player alongside Turkey. Fenerbahce have been linked with a loan deal for the youngster, but nothing has materialised as of yet.

But as reported by the Athletic, there is a chance that Mason Greenwood could play for Manchester United again down the line. That depends on what the club concludes from their own findings.

Gabri Veiga will not leave Celta Vigo for less than €40 million release clause this summer

Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga is having his breakout season in La Liga, and is attracting interest from some of the top clubs in the world. One of them being Spanish giants Real Madrid, who are keeping tabs on his situation.

Arsenal and Manchester United are among the other clubs circling to sign him in case an opportunity comes up. But, the appeal of Real Madrid to a Spanish born player remains unparalleled.

Gabri Veiga attracting interest from elite clubs for summer transfer

The 20-year-old started the season with the Celta Vigo B team, but eventually earned promotion to the senior side. He has become one of the most trusted players for the team, playing 22 La Liga games already.

The midfielder has scored eight goals and provided three assists, which is a remarkable return considering he isn’t an out and out attacker.

Gabri Veiga has a contract with Celta until 2026, but there is a €40 million release clause included. And considering the importance of the midfielder, the club has no intention to let him leave for less than that amount.

Real Madrid have been linked with the signature of Jude Bellingham in the summer as well. But, they will have competition in the form of Manchester City and Liverpool. Moreover, Borussia Dortmund will be expecting a record fee to let the England international leave this summer as well.

Taking that into consideration, Veiga might prove to be a cheaper alternative for Los Blancos in the summer.

It’s official: The Realme C55 will ship on March 7 with a Tiny Capsule similar to Apple’s Dynamic Island

On March 7, the Realme C55, which just emerged online, will go on sale. This information was made public by Realme’s Indonesian office, which created a promotional page on its official website and disclosed the C55’s launch and sale dates (March 8) in the Asian nation.

The online store for Realme Indonesia also has the Realme C55 available. It validates the C55’s specifications and appearance but withholds the C55’s pricing. The Helio G88 SoC will provide power for the Realme C55, which will ship with Realme UI 4.0 based on Android 13. Both 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB of RAM will be available.

Realme C55

Realme C55 features

The former will offer virtual Memory expansion of up to 6GB, while the latter will support up to 8 GB. Both models will have a dedicated microSD card slot for up to 1TB of storage expansion. The Realme C55 features a 6.72″ FullHD+ 90Hz display with a peak brightness of 680 nits and a centrally-located punch hole for its 8MP front-facing camera.

Realme C55

More intriguingly, however, the smartphone will include Apple’s Mini Capsule configuration, which is similar to Dynamic Island. It will provide low battery warnings, the phone’s charging status, data consumption, daily step totals, and walking distance. The last two won’t ship with them and instead will be delivered later via OTA.

The Realme C55 will have a dual camera arrangement on its back, with a 64MP camera taking center stage. Also, it will include a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W charging, which is a significant improvement over the C35’s 18W charging and a first for a C series smartphone. As Realme just declared that the majority of its C series smartphones this year would enable 33W or quicker charging, we probably won’t see any C series Realme devices charging slower than 33W in 2023.

Realme C55

Other notable features of the Realme C55 include a 3.5mm headphone connector, a USB-C port, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. In addition, it will include Dirac’s audio tuning and an NFC chip.

The C55 will be 7.89mm thick and come in Sunshower and Rainy Night as color options.

Next Tuesday’s launch event, which will be live-streamed beginning at 1 PM local time, will reveal further information about the Realme C55’s Indonesian price. Although Realme’s Indian division has not yet provided any information, the C55 is also anticipated to go on sale in India soon.

Premier League wage bill 21/22: Liverpool record 75% spike; United lead list

0

Premier League clubs have earned a reputation of having immense financial power. And the Premier League wage bill for 21/22 just proves this point further. English clubs are able to attract the best players in the world with lucrative financial offers, which only adds to the competitiveness of the 20 teams in the division.

Manchester United had the highest wage bill for the 2021/22 season, a 45% increase from 2017 – which was also the last season that they won a trophy before 2023. One of the reasons behind this was the presence of Cristiano Ronaldo in the squad, as one of the highest earners in the entire league.

Premier League wage bill 21/22: What do the figures say?

Liverpool are second behind their rivals, Manchester United, with a wage bill of €412.1 million which is an increase of 75% from 2017. In that time, they have won every available trophy domestically, and in Europe.

Manchester City are third with €398.7 million on their books. While they haven’t gotten their hands on European silverware as of yet, they have almost monopolised the Premier League in the same way that Bayern Munich have done in the Bundesliga.

Chelsea’s Premier League wage bill for 2021/22 hasn’t been filed yet due to their change in ownership. But, their €374.9 million wage bill is still among the highest in the top flight, ahead of their rivals Arsenal and Tottenham.

Meghalaya will lock horns with Karnataka at the Santosh Trophy Final

Meghalaya will be locking horns with Karnataka at the Santosh Trophy final, and indeed it will be a mouth-watering match to see. Meghalaya’s journey throughout the tournament was also great, and they showed a great performance when they defeated the defending champions Punjab by a close score of 2-1. Primarily Sheen Sohktung’s spectacular shot that came in injury time helped Meghalaya get the upper hand against their opposition in the 76th National championship for the Santosh Trophy at the King Fahd International Stadium.

On the other hand, Karnataka secured their victory over the Services by a good score of 3-1, and they eventually ended their drought of 46 years without being in the final of the tournament. Though the match between Karnataka and the Services saw the latter team getting the first lead, however, Karnataka equalized it soon and doubled it in the 77th minute.

Little talks about the last goal from Karnataka

There had been a little talk about the last goal that came from M. Sunil Kumar, it was a free kick taken by Robin Yadav. Primarily the home defenders deflected the ball more toward the goal, and Sunil Kumar didn’t miss the chance to score and seal the victory for Karnataka. The Services certainly couldn’t come back from that position.

The AIFF President, in regard to VAR

In the match, Video Assistant Referee or VAR was introduced to the tournament for the first time with the host, with Saudi Arabia Football Federation administering this technology. The AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey said in this regard that they would introduce the technology in their domestic tournaments like the Indian Super League soon. The VAR is a costly proposition, but he is sure that the technological brains of their country can be employed to find a cost-effective solution for them.

Kitchens@ acquires Swiggy’s Cloud Kitchen

Online delivery service Swiggy has sold its Cloud Kitchen segment for an undisclosed sum to Kitchens@, a significant rival in the quickly growing cloud kitchen market, as the growth rate for food delivery slows down. Swiggy’s Access, an online food aggregator, will purchase a share in Kitchens@ through an all-equity acquisition.

Why did Swiggy sell its cloud kitchen business?

In 2017, Swiggy Access was released, making it the first business to employ the Cloud Kitchen methodology. The Swiggy Access project gives restaurant partners the opportunity to build cooking facilities in locations where they do not already have operations, enhancing choice and expediting delivery for clients.

The addition of Swiggy’s Access kitchens, which span 52 locations and more than 700 kitchens across four cities, will expand Kitchens@’s operations and expand its reach while providing customers with more practical and efficient meal delivery options, as per Junaiz Kizhakkayil, CEO of Kitchens@.

According to Kitchens@, Swiggy will be able to increase its culinary choices and meet the wants of customers in certain regions thanks to its analysis of regional demand and selection of top-performing partners. In order to solve the lack of diversity, high quality, and convenient meals, Swiggy Access’ founders decided to fill in any hyperlocal supply gaps in the restaurant industry. Rahul Bothra, Swiggy’s CFO, said that Access has, since its inception, assisted a number of restaurant partners in expanding and reaching out to new customers economically.

The recent transaction allows Kitchens@ to have a yearly GMV of ₹520 crores. For the next six months, the business hopes to generate $100 million in sales, and it has already obtained letters of intent from over 40 international and national businesses to work together under a master franchise system.

Swiggy announced in January that it would be firing 380 workers in order to reduce costs. “The growth rate of food delivery has drastically decreased when compared to our predictions. To achieve our profitability goals, this meant that we had to review all of our indirect costs” Co-founder and CEO Sriharsha Majety stated in an email to staff.

The business also announced that it would soon be closing its meat marketplace because, after numerous iterations, it was unable to find a product-market match. In comparison to the previous fiscal year, losses at the online food delivery service more than doubled to ₹3,629 crores in the financial year 2022.

According to its fiscal year report filed with the Registrar of Companies, total expenses increased 13% to ₹9,574.5 million in the financial year 2022.

Copa del Rey semifinal: El Clasico ends in 1-0 win for Barcelona at Real Madrid’s home ground

0

Barcelona are heading into the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey with a 1-0 advantage over Real Madrid. The high-stakes El Clasico tie is at its halfway point, with the second leg set to take place a few weeks down the line.

The Catalonian side brought their impenetrable defence to the Santiago Bernabeu, not allowing the hosts a single shot on target. The only goal of the game was an own goal from Eder Militao, as Barcelona picked up the advantage in spite of having several injuries in their squad.

Copa del Rey semifinal El Clásico – Key takeaways

Real Madrid’s performance was substandard even though they had all their regulars in the starting line-up. Vinicius Jr and Karim Benzema were both unable to make any difference in the game, as their rivals didn’t make much of an impact either.

Los Blancos had the most possession during the game, but were unable to make anything of it. Being without Pedri, Ousmane Dembele and Robert Lewandowski due to injury, Barcelona were not able to do anything special in offence either.

Ronald Araujo, however, was the standout performer for Xavi Hernandez’s side. He moved to right-back to deal with Vinicius Jr, and managed to keep the Brazilian quiet for the entire game. Vinicius has torn through defences this entire season, especially against Liverpool in their previous Champions League match.

But with the Uruguayan breathing down his neck, he was neutralised completely. Moreover, Carlo Ancelotti has been unable to defeat Xavi in their last four El Clasico meetings in a rather poor run. A draw or loss in the return leg could mean a second trophy won for Barca, while another lost for Real Madrid this time.

Lessons learned from the Hindenburg-Adani conflict

The Adani crisis doesn’t appear to be slowing down any time soon. Seven out of ten Adani Group equities are losing money. Regulators, legislators, and courts, the Adani-Hindenburg issue never fails to make headlines and dominate conversations in financial markets and business settings. Over a month following the Hindenburg iceberg struck the Adani Group right before its now-canceled follow-on public offer, it is crucial to take a step back and comprehend the most important lessons from the Adani scandal. What actually does the Adani narrative mean for India’s markets, investors, regulators, and yes, the business sector?

Everything you need to know about Hindenburg and Adani!

All investors were in wonder as the group’s combined market value increased by more than 100%. Investors and analysts claimed that the run-up was justifiable since the Adani Group was unstoppable and had staked a significant amount of money on the India infrastructure story. Stock prices for the company had skyrocketed, but the increase persisted and catapulted Gautam Adani to the lofty position of the third richest person in the world.

Lessons learned from the Hindenburg-Adani conflict

Between 2002–15 and 2016–21, the market value of the company’s flagship, Adani Enterprises, stayed consistent with that of its competitors, but after 2021, the same measures will be multiples of those of its competitors. Without a better term, 2022 was unquestionably the group’s “breakout” year. There is another aspect to this, which Aswath Damodaran, a worldwide values expert, has often brought up in his remarks on the Adani controversy: the group’s concern with maintaining a very high level of control.

With the significant promoter holdings, this is essentially what knowledgeable market professionals believe led to values that are simply cosmetic. Investment bankers and Adani observers agree in private that the valuations the group saw hardly seem to be the outcome of any real market discovery. Little holdings by retail investors can make noise, but their positions do not help with price discovery. Moreover, low free float-driven equities have the capacity to bring down entire companies, as they did in the wake of the Hindenburg disaster.

3 Lessons learned from the Hindenburg-Adani conflict

The governance issue has been brought to light by the Adani controversy. Even while there are a lot of reliable assets that generate regular cash flows, the major issue isn’t so much the amount of debt as it is the absence of proper transparency that might soothe investors’ anxieties.

Despite this, there are numerous lessons that investors, companies, and even regulators may learn from the Adani predicament. Investors must do their homework before making an investment in the equity markets at a time when millions of new investors have done so.

2 Lessons learned from the Hindenburg-Adani conflict

According to J.N. Gupta, a former executive director of the Securities & Exchange Board of India and current CEO of the proxy advisory firm Stakeholders Empowerment Services, investors should never base their choices on fads or hype but rather should always do extensive research before making any investments.

Gupta witnessed numerous market booms and busts during his tenure at the regulatory body. He emphasizes that equity carries risk and that those who are patient profit from the activities of the impatient.
