Arsenal to make second Mykhaylo Mudryk offer to Shakhtar Donetsk after €60m bid rejected

Arsenal’s offer worth €40 million plus €20 million for Mykhaylo Mudryk has been turned down by Shakhtar Donetsk. The Ukrainian club has made it clear that they want much more than the amount offered to part with their star player.

The price tag quoted for the youngster is €100 million, which would be a massive sale for them. However, that amount has not been matched as of yet by the Premier League side.

Mykhaylo Mudryk transfer talks to continue with Arsenal

Despite having their opening offer rejected, Arsenal are not backing down in their pursuit of the forward. They are planning to make a second offer in the coming days, and are in contact with the player over the move.

Personal terms are not expected to be an issue since Mykhaylo Mudryk is keen to join Arsenal. But, an agreement between the two clubs is essential for the transfer to go through.

Mikel Arteta’s squad could soon have a very exciting new talent, which would take him one step closer to having the best squad in the world. The team already consists of Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, Emile Smith Rowe, Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard and Eddie Nketiah.

By the looks of things, they are certain to return to the Champions League next year. And in the summer, they could end the season as Premier League champions if things continue to work out in their favour.

Reece James suffers another injury; reveals 2022 as most difficult year till date

0

Although Chelsea picked up their first Premier League win since October against Bournemouth, Reece James was forced off with a knee injury shortly after half-time. And now, it has been revealed that he will be out for a month, which will see him miss games against Manchester City and Liverpool.

The right-back recovered from a knee injury over the World Cup break, and was able to make the starting line-up against the Cherries. But, he went down clutching the same area, and was unable to carry on.

Reece James reveals 2022 has been most difficult year till date

“2022 has been the toughest year to date,” the Chelsea defender wrote on his Twitter.

“Just wanna thank you all for the support, none of you go unnoticed. It’s naturally effected me mentally, I’m currently just tryna deal with the cards I’ve been dealt.”

“I hope your end of year is filled with peace, joy & happiness.”

Chelsea were in fine form yesterday, and Reece James was a big part in their strong start to the game. He is one of their best players, and his absence will no doubt be a huge blow for the team. And with fixtures coming thick and fast, Graham Potter will need to find a way to cope without the youngster. Perhaps another run in the starting line-up for club captain Cesar Azpilicueta could be on the cards again.

Official: David Datro Fofana signs for Chelsea for €12 million

0

Chelsea have confirmed the arrival of David Datro Fofana from Norwegian club Molde. The striker will be registered as part of the first team on January 1, when the transfer window is open for business.

The final fee agreed for the youngster is €12 million, and a long-term contract has been agreed. The striker has also passed the medical assessment prior to being announced as a new arrival for the West London side.

David Datro Fofana arrival confirmed by Chelsea

“Chelsea FC has reached a pre-agreement with Molde FK for the transfer of David Datro Fofana,” the club’s official website confirmed.

“The 20-year-old striker will join the Blues on 1 January 2023. We look forward to welcoming David to the club!”

The player has been in fine form for Molde this season, scoring 15 goals and providing five assists in 24 games. And his arrival will give Graham Potter an extra forward to play, with Armando Broja ruled out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz are the only other natural centre-forwards in the line-up. And Fofana could help add a new dynamic to the team, even though he could be considered a player for the future due to his age. It now remains to be seen whether he will be fielded by Potter in the big games coming up ahead.

WhatsApp working on new Status Updates

WhatsApp, a Meta-owned messaging platform, is reportedly working on a new feature that will allow users to report status updates on desktop beta. According to WABetaInfo, the new feature will allow users to report a status update directly from a new menu in the status area.

With the new option, users will be able to report any suspicious status updates that may violate the Terms of Service to the moderation team. The status update, like the reporting messages, will be given to the firm for moderation so that they can see whether there is a violation. This functionality, however, does not compromise end-to-end encryption.

Nobody, not even WhatsApp or Meta, can access the content of users’ messages or listen in on their private calls, but it is critical for the firm to have a report option in order to keep the platform and users secure.

According to the source, the ability to report status updates is in the works and will be included in a future update of WhatsApp Desktop beta. Meanwhile, the messaging platform released a new feature to certain beta testers last month that allows users to see profile images within group chats on a desktop.

India’s digital ad spend to reach $21 billion by 2028

0

With the huge increase in smartphone and Internet use, digital ad expenditure in India is expected to reach $21 billion by 2028, according to a survey released on Tuesday. Notably, the rise of user-generated content (UGC) will enable individual producers and influencers to establish a digital identity that brands may exploit for digital advertising.

According to a Redseer Strategy Consultants analysis, this strong ecosystem of 2.5 to 3 million producers is predicted to fuel marketing investment of $2.8 billion to $3.5 billion by 2028.

Due to macroeconomic circumstances, digital ad spend in the country is expected to develop slowly in FY23, after which it will account for 65-70 percent of total ad spend in India, expanding at a CAGR of 19-21 percent.

“Upon mapping market sizing across media agencies, we observe a significant under-reporting of digital ad spend in India. However, our projection has considered enterprise spends, SMB spends, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing and gaming,” said Mukesh Kumar, engagement manager, Redseer.

Digital platforms have a high engagement rate, with consumers spending approximately seven hours per day on their devices.

E-commerce, short videos, OTT, social media, long-form videos, and news channels are some of the most popular performances driving digital ad platforms.

According to the report, the global downturn caused by rising interest rates, the energy crisis, and other factors has led to new-age enterprises focusing on profitability and managing ad spending, resulting in slower growth in FY23.

According to the survey, despite present economic difficulties, the ad market is expected to increase by 6-8 percent in FY23.

“We expect macroeconomic engines to pick up momentum again by FY24 since, after every economic downturn, eventually, consumer morale returns,” it added.

According to the survey, as the creator economy evolves, it is critical to bridge the gap between businesses and influencers via a centralised platform such as the creative marketplace.

The Top billionaires’ list was as volatile as liquid Helium in 2022

0

The list of the world’s top billionaires has resembled a game of musical chairs, with highly volatile financial markets causing fast changes in the wealth levels of the world’s richest people.

Because of this year’s extraordinary volatility in markets and personal fortune, the list of the top five billionaires at the end of 2022 has shifted, with a surprise exit and an even more shocking addition. Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Bernard Arnault, Bill Gates, and Larry Page were the top five richest people on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index a year ago, in that order.

Gautam Adani, the chairman and founder of the Adani Group, was the surprise entry this year into the top five richest people on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. He succeeds Google co-founder Larry Page, whose net worth fell $45.8 billion this year as IT stocks plummeted, dropping him from fourth to tenth place on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

While four of the top five billionaires in 2022 have lost over $262 billion in net worth, India’s richest man, Gautam Adani, has added nearly $42 billion and risen 11 places on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

Lets take a look at the top 3 players in the billionaires list:

1. Bernard Arnault – $161 billion

Bernard Arnault, the chairman of LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world’s largest luxury goods company, is the world’s richest person as of December 23. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, his fortune is now $161 billion, down $10 billion in the last year.

Arnault’s involvement with luxury goods companies began in 1984 with the purchase of Boussac, a textile and retail company. Boussac also owned Christian Dior, which offered women’s clothing, fragrances, and accessories. Arnault’s mother was also a Dior fan, which led to Arnault’s desire to purchase the company.

He founded LVMH in 1987, establishing a collection of luxury brands that would grow to 75 by 2022, including Tiffany, Christian Dior, Fendi, Bulgari, Sephora, and TAG Heuer, to mention a few.

Together, these businesses enabled Arnault to surpass $100 billion in wealth for the first time in December 2019, and to rise to the top of the list of the world’s wealthiest persons in December 2022.

2. Elon Musk – $140 billion

Elon Musk, the South African-born creator of electric car manufacturer Tesla and spacecraft manufacturer SpaceX, is now the world’s second-richest person. His fortune is now worth $140 billion, a $134 billion decrease over the last year.

Musk began his entrepreneurial experience with Zip2, an internet-based city tour service, with a $28,000 investment. Compaq subsequently bought the company for $307 million, with Musk collecting $22 million for his stake.

Musk has since led or started multiple firms, including X.com, PayPal, SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink. Among these, Tesla is Musk’s finest achievement; the business debuted on stock exchanges in 2010, raising $226 million. Tesla’s market capitalisation was $393 billion as of December 22.

Musk polled Twitter users in December to see if he should stand down as CEO of Tesla. This poll gained 17.5 million votes, with 57.5% of those who voted wanting Musk to resign. He has now indicated that he will resign once a replacement is found.

3. Gautam Adani – $120 billion

Gautam Adani, who was born in Gujarat, is the world’s third richest person, with a net worth of $120 billion, which has increased by more than $42 billion in the last year. Adani is the only billionaire on this list who has increased his wealth. He is also the greatest gainer in 2022 by a significant margin, with US options trader Jeff Yass coming in second with a gain of $29 billion.

Gautam Adani’s ascent has been swift, fueled by a significant increase in the market capitalisation of the Adani group’s seven listed firms, which have gained 8.55 lakh crore in market capitalisation this year.

Adani, whose holdings include ports and energy, has been dubbed “Asia’s busiest dealmaker” by Bloomberg. He also topped the sixth edition of the ‘Bloomberg 50,’ a list of the world’s most prominent business people.

However, 2017’s Logan has seen a pretty definitive conclusion for Wolverine so the concept of the character’s return with a lot of questions for fans on how exactly the character and Jackman would return. Now, Jackman speaking about his comeback in the role that confirms Deadpool 3 takes place for a general timeline.

Deadpool

“He was actually really cool about it,” Logan told The Empire Film Podcast of Mangold’s reaction. “I did tell him that it took place before our movie, so it wasn’t going to screw it up, like claws coming out of the grave. So, he was relieved by that, and he totally got it, that it was a really good idea.”

He added, “None of us wanted to screw with that and I was really proud of the movie and what we did, and it felt like perfect, and actually for five years, I was really honest that I can tell you, I was like, this is it. It was August 14, I remember driving and it just came to me like, that this would be so much fun. I’ll probably have more fun in that movie than anything and on August 13 I was like, I’m never playing that part again.”

Deadpool 3: Plot

The story of the film can relate to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the 20th Century Fox X-Men movies. However, Reynolds himself may have said what is going to be the plot of the movie at a such moment while he may have thought that the movie wasn’t going to get made. It was last year, January, Reynolds tweeted the following: “It’s critical to have open, honest and healthy discussions around mental health. By retweeting #BellLetsTalk you can make a difference,” Reynolds tweeted at the time. “In case that’s not enough, before Disney bought Fox, Deadpool 3 was going to be a road trip between Deadpool and Logan. Rashomon style. For real.”

For those who are unaware, by “Rashomon style” Reynolds has referenced the 1950 Japanese film by Akira Kurosawa having the same story told from the viewpoints of several different characters.
