Netflix’s most awaited show Cobra Kai recently dropped season 5 on Netflix in September 2022, and now this December, we are still waiting for the official renewal status update from Netflix. Cobra Kai is a most popular series, and after two seasons the show has moved into Netflix and even soared with more popularity. The series has been continued with The Karate Kid film. After the Karate Kid, it has taken 34 years of the events of the main Karate Kid that has reignited the rivalry between Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso. 

Cobra Kai (season 6): Renewal Status 

At the time of updating, Netflix has still decided to renew Cobra Kai for the sixth season, and currently., we are pursuing the fifth season premiering on Netflix. There are a few reasons behind this. The creators have told the to run a minimum of 6 reasons. Hayden Schlossberg has said, “We have an end in mind. How many seasons it takes to get there, we don’t know. We’re enjoying making it so much. If it gets tiring to us, we’ll stop before that; we have a few more seasons already planned out.” 

Jon Hurwitz, one of the showrunners, also said that they’d like to do for minimum 6 seasons in a Tweet: 

It has been stated that Netflix in most prior seasons already got renewed Cobra kai before dropping off the new seasons. The difference in this time, we can suspect about the showrunners have another project to do in the form of Obliterated. The series recently wrapped up the shooting in November 2022. Along with the post-production or the editing has concluded, they’ll be free again going to move for the Cobra Kai. 

The production is like the show getting renewed for another season on Netflix but along with the void that can be a final season order. This is quietly like seeing data suggesting the show has peaked in popularity.

Cobra Kai (season 6): Future Scope

Depending on the situation with Cobra Kai, Robby could represent the dojo over Kenny, however, if Robby were to rejoin Miyagi-Do or Eagle Fang he may have to compete against either Hawk or Miguel. 

Samantha will represent Miyagi Do, and Devon Lee could again represent Eagle Fang. As for Tory, her place in the tournament could be in doubt if the Sekai Takai organizers ban her for not coming clean earlier about Silver’s cheating. This may also lead to Tory’s further redemption if she is allowed to compete. 

The births of a Baby 

Johnny is having a baby with Carmen, and it’s not yet clear when the baby is due, which could impact Johnny’s attendance at the Sekai Takai. 

Did Julie Pierce make an appearance? 

Nearly all of the major characters from the original Karate Kid movies have returned to reprise their roles in Cobra Kai. The only omission so far is Julie Pierce, previously played by academy award-winning actress Hilary Swank. 

It would be extremely fun to see Swank return to reprise her role as Julie, as the character could return to help train the Miyagi Do students to prepare the Sekai Takai. 

If there is a further conflict with Kim Da-Eun, it would be incredibly fun to see Julie Pierce go one-on-one with the Korean master of Tang Soo Do. 

Cobra Kai (Season 6): Cast 

Cobra Kai already has an extremely extensive cast list, but we would expect the majority of the cast to reprise their roles from the fifth season for the sixth season, containing Ralph Macchio as Daniel LaRusso, William Zabka as Johnny Lawrence, Courtney Henggeler as Amanda LaRusso, Xolo Maridueña as Miguel Diaz, Tanner Buchanan as Robby Keene, Mary Mouser as Samantha LaRusso, Jacob Bertrand as Hawk, Gianni DeCenzo as Demetri, Martin Kove as John KreeseVanessa Rubio as Carmen Diaz, Peyton List as Tory Nichols, Griffin Santopietro as Anthony LaRusso, Dallas Dupree Young as Kenny Payne, Yuji Okumoto as Chozen, Oona O’Brien as Devon, Alicia Hannah-Kim as Kim Da-Eun 

We wish to return many of the minor cast members in the sixth season too. 

Cobra Kai (Season 6): Netflix Release Date 

The last twenty months are really very exciting got the fans of Cobra Kai, we’ve seen the release of three seasons of Cobra Kai on Netflix, starting with season 3 in January 2021, and, most recently, the fifth season in September 2022. 

When the subscribers have already become used to seeing new seasons of Cobra Kai on Netflix semi-regularly, the wait for a sixth season could be the longest.

The Umbrella Academy (Season 4): Everything We Need to Know About The Superhero-Horror Comedy Series

The Umbrella Academy is one of the top and most awaited series that will hit on Netflix. The Umbrella Academy will hit on Netflix for season 4 which will arrive in either late 2023 or 2024 on looking. 

The Umbrella Academy is a renowned Netflix Original superhero-comedy-drama series made by Steve Blackman, developed by Jeremy Slater, and based on the comics of the same name by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá. 

For the first time, the series debuted in February 2019 with the most recent season dropping in June 2022.

The Umbrella Academy (Season 4): Renewal Status 

It took a little longer than expected, but Netflix confirmed the renewal of The Umbrella Academy on Twitter. The renewal ultimately was bittersweet given that the show would also be the final season. 

Showrunner Steve Blackman on the renewal said: 

“I’m so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings’ journey we began five years ago. But before we get to that conclusion, we’ve got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.” 

The Umbrella Academy (Season 3): Netflix Performance 

Netflix themselves have offered us direct viewing hours numbers via their global top 10 sites. Every week, they publish 40 numbers with viewing hours for the most-watched shows and movies. 

We should also note that some of the earlier seasons have also seen a bump in viewership with the release of season 3 of The Umbrella Academy. The show’s seasons 1 and 2 have featured in the hourly top 10s. 

Season 2 notably scored 34.53M hours viewed between June 26th through July 10th.  The first season had the biggest rise in viewership scoring 78.25M hours viewed between June 19th and July 10th. We don’t know how many of these viewing hours are fresh viewers vs people rewatching the first two seasons. Either way, viewership being spread back to the early seasons is always a good sign. 

The Umbrella Academy (Season 4): Expectations 

The world’s worst father 

Sir Reginald Hargreeves is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the worst fathers in the known universe. Simply a means to a selfish end, Reginald’s only reason for the adoption of the children of the Umbrella Academy and Sparrow Academy was so that he could reset the universe in his image, and be reunited with his dead wife, Abigail. 

Once his children realize that he’s alive, we can expect less than a civil visit from the Hargreeves family. We still don’t know the full extent of what Reginald’s universe reset means for his children, but in true Reginald fashion, we expect they’ve been screwed over again. 

With the removal of their powers, the Umbrella and Sparrow Academy are a significantly reduced threat to Reginald. Life will be dramatically different for the Hargreeves family, who, without their powers will now experience a new form of vulnerability. This means no more bus ball for Klaus. 

This also begs the question, in this world did Reginald adopt the Hargreeves children? Regardless of whether or not he did, this could mean that all of their respective mothers are still alive. After finally making a bond with Reginald, it was all for naught, so while Klaus will still be feeling the pain of betrayal, if he realizes his mother could still be alive, he’ll be on a road trip to Pennsylvania immediately. 

If some of the Hargreeves have a better life without their powers, such as Allison, it may take some convincing to return to their former lives. 

Blackman, in an interview with Netflix, said on the subject: 

“… the siblings losing their powers isn’t going to be the only oddity in this timeline. Some new enemies want to see them wiped out of existence, but how do they manage without their powers? Is there even a way to get them back? The stakes have never been greater.” 

Aidan Gallagher has teased that we could see the show’s characters be more akin to their comic book counterparts. In an interview with Collider, he told them, “We may see a more comic book version of Five in Season 4.” 

Gallagher also spoke about what we could expect from his character, saying: 

“I think he’ll go on mission mode and try to figure out how to make everything right with this new, strange reality that Hargreeves has made up. I don’t know. It may bring out a more mission-oriented version of Five. It’s very final, the way it resolves. It’s this new world, with them not having powers. I’d like to see some of the characters, at least for the time being, settle into that reality. I don’t know if Five is that type of personality. I think he’s still gonna wrestle with it, but we’ll have to see. Let’s hope it gets picked up.” 

Timeskip? 

In real life, Aidan Gallagher, the actor for Five is 18 years old and will turn 19 in September. By the time we expect the fourth season of The Umbrella Academy to arrive on Netflix, he’ll be almost 21 years old. Now, while Gallagher plays an extremely convincing 15-year-old, it won’t be long before he outgrows the look of one. A simple time skip would allow the actor’s real-life growth to be worked into the story of Five looking older than a 15-year-old. 

Included in the time skip, we’d get to see how drastically different the lives of the Hargreeves have changed. Diego and Lila will have had their baby, if Luther can find Sloane, the newlyweds may be able to enjoy a few years of marital bliss, and Ben, clearly upset by the loss of his powers, may begin his plan to takedown Hargreeves. 

 Defected family 

All of the Hargreeves have been through their trials, tribulations, and trauma, and despite how dysfunctional they are, they have remained as a family. But in a brand new universe without powers, the choice to move on with their lives could fracture the relationships of the family who want their powers back. 

Allison’s betrayal will still sting, and while she is reunited with Claire and Ray, she may seek to repair the burning bridge with her siblings. 

When asked about whether Allison is in a different timeline, showrunner Steve Blackman said: 

“… Allison is not in a different timeline, she’s in the same timeline. In fact, Ray and Claire do exist in this timeline now. That was the dark deal she made with Hargreeves, to help Hargreeves bring the family together. This is what she got.” 

We also see Ben from season 3 in the post-credits scene but is this a new Ben? Blackman said: 

“It’s not a different timeline Ben. It’s the Ben we know from Season 3, but how that works and why we’re seeing him will be a Season 4 reveal.” 

The Umbrella Academy (Season 4): Production Status and Release Date 

Production on the fourth and final season of The Umbrella Academy is currently penciled in to start in February 2023, according to multiple production sources seen by What’s on Netflix. 

Another production resource stated that the series is due to film between Q1 2023 and Q3 2023, which could mean the series doesn’t wrap until September 2023 at the latest. 

One source puts the show’s budget at between $7,000,000 to $10,000,000 per episode. 

If we look back at the production schedule of the third season, production prep didn’t begin until October 2020, and filming began several months later, in February 2021. Filming ended on August 28th, 2021. That’s perhaps not the greatest comparison, however, given it was filmed throughout the height of the pandemic. 

Seasons 1 and 2 of the show took around 5-6 months in development and then a further 6-8 months of post-production and localization before heading to Netflix. 

Steve Blackman, the showrunner of The Umbrella Academy, has stated that the time to produce each season of The Umbrella Academy takes up to 18 months before its eventual release on Netflix, so this lines up. 

In this case, our best estimate is that season 4 of The Umbrella Academy will release in Spring 2024.  

The Umbrella Academy  (Season 4): Cast

We expect to see the following cast members return in the fourth season of The Umbrella Academy: 

It’s unclear if the deceased members of The Sparrow Academy will be returning as it’s still unclear how much of the universe has been changed by Sir Reginald. 

Netflix has confirmed additional casting news will be announced at a later date. 

The showrunner of The Umbrella Academy has multiple other projects in the works at Netflix. The biggest is the video game adaptation Horizon Zero Dawn where he serves as an executive producer, and a new series called Orbital described as a thriller set on the International Space Station. We’ll keep you updated on both projects as and when we get them.

This news has been surfacing for quite some time and now thanks to @All_The_Watts we have a confirmation that the Ryzen 7 7735HS based on Zen 3 architecture exists.

In this leak, we have seen that this ROG Zephyrus G14 GA402N runs with an 8-core Ryzen 7 7735HS based on 35W TDP and also comes with integrated Radeon Graphics. From the task manager screenshot, we see this APU runs at a base clock speed of 3.2GHz which is the same base clock speed of the Ryzen 7 6800HS.

OPPO Find N2 Flip specifications have been blurted in history. The foldable smartphone will compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 following its launch in China and conceivably many further requests. According to the blurted specifications, the Find N2 Flip will sport an altitudinous 6.8-inch foldable display with a 2520 × 1080- pixel resolution. The E6 AMOLED display will come with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. There will be a hole-punch cutout at the top centre for the frontal camera.

There will be a binary-camera setup on the reverse. The phone is said to point to a 50MP Sony IMX890 main camera and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultrawide camera. The hole-punch cutout at the top of the foldable display will house a 32MP Sony IMX709 detector for the frontal camera. The Find N2 Flip will bobble Android 13 out of the box and have a subcaste of ColorOS 13 on top.

OPPO is likely to launch the phone with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 SoC. The foldable phone is rumoured to come with multiple storehouse options, with the base model packing 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of the internal storehouse. It’ll also launch with 8 GB 256 and 12 GB 256 GB storehouse options. In terms of battery, the Find N2 Flip is rumoured to pack a 4300mAh battery. It’ll support 44W fast charging.

England were able to advance to the quarter finals of the World Cup with a 3-0 win over Senegal and will now face current World Cup holders France in the quarter-final.

In May 2022, the Government of India set up an inter-ministerial task force on online gaming, comprising of multiple ministries and the NITI Aayog, to analyse various aspects of online gaming and devise a framework for the regulation for the sector. In recent years, the online gaming industry, despite its rapid growth, has been contending with regulatory challenges from state governments which have often conflated the online games of skill with games of chance and gambling.

A number of these state governments have consequently sought to prohibit online games of skill within their respective territories. While many of these legal prohibitions have been struck down in high courts, this has resulted in regional fragmentation for the gaming industry, and massive loss of investor confidence.

The recommendation of the inter-ministerial task force on online gaming included the creation of new central legislation for regulating the sector. This proposal was expected to address fragmentation in law across states, and create a mechanism for distinguishing online games of skill from betting and gambling. The proposal was also expected to provide greater clarity and regulatory stability to the online gaming industry, giving the sector a considerable boost.

Additionally, the recommendations of the task force were expected to curb the proliferation of illegal gambling platforms within the country. Other recommendations of the task force, as reported by the media, included setting up grievance redressal mechanisms and measures for adequate user protection.

However, a recent Reuters report has suggested that the central government may not be comfortable implementing any method for differentiating games of skill from games of chance, due to a lack of legal clarity. There has been no clarity as to how the Central Government will tackle the issue of state wise fragmentation of regulation and the menace offshore gambling websites without differentiating between games of skill and chance, and according to platforms any regulation which does not solve that issue will be ineffective in the growth of the industry.

Welcoming the regulation by the Central Government, Roland Landers, CEO, All India Gaming Federation states that “As the apex industry body for online gaming, we welcome an effective and progressive central regulatory framework. We have been engaging with the Inter-Ministerial task force, and have submitted detailed representations for standards including consumer protection, age gating, fair play, etc. to be adopted for all online games of skill.”

“All India Gaming Federation under its Charter already requires its over 100 members to institute various due diligence and consumer protection measures. However, today we have more than 1000 gaming companies in India, and so, having a central framework will ensure that the industry as a whole adopts strong consumer protection and grievance redressal measures.”

In recent times, the industry has been faced with a situation where State governments have conflated skill-based gaming with the gambling industry, and have sought to prohibit it, causing fragmentation in the sector. This has happened despite 60 years of jurisprudence from the Supreme Court and multiple high courts on games of skill.

“We are hopeful that centralized regulation will solve this issue of state fragmentation and unconstitutional state bans. Such clarity will improve investor confidence and further allow the industry to grow at an even faster pace.” He added.

The draft rules under the current Information Technology Act are expected to be released for publication in the coming month and subsequently it is assumed that government will start work on a comprehensive stand-alone law for online gaming. Online gaming is currently a 2.5 billion USD industry today, and companies and investors are waiting with baited breadth for the regulations, since that will decide the future trajectory of this industry, and will shape whether India can compete with China and US at the global stage in online gaming.
