Barcelona fined for falsifying agent payments
“FC Barcelona has been informed of the verdict on income tax (IRPF) of the National Court regarding the appeal presented by the club with respect to the tax inspection concerning payments made to players’ agents between 2012 and 2015,” an official statement from the club said.
“FC Barcelona shall be presenting an appeal to the Supreme Court.
“This ruling does not entail any payment obligation for the club at present, this contingency being properly provisioned in the annual accounts.”
The club added that they would take the matter up to the Spanish Supreme Court, after the decision passed in the National Court. They also made comparisons as to how they were able to succeed with an identical appeal, but failed to do so this time.
In terms of publicity, the new case only adds to the tarnishing that took place under Sandro Rossell and Josep Maria Bartomeu. The Negreira case has already been a matter of intense discussion, and the new income tax case matter only compounds things against the club.
With first team manager Xavi leaving in the summer, the club is in turmoil on and off the pitch yet again. And they will hope to have sorted matters out in the coming months by appointing a new first team coach who can bring stability.

The ESL BGMI Snapdragon Pro Series 2024 LAN finals are going to be held soon, from February 16 to February 18. The tournament started last year, and now this year it will culminate, giving us our Battle Royale champion team. The prize pool is quite massive; INR 1 crore goes to the winning team.

These are the teams that qualified after a series of tough matches for the finals. Now they will battle for the ESL BGMI Snapdragon Pro Series 2024 LAN finals. The stage is set in Noida, and the tournament this time will be offline.
As you may already know, in the beginning, there were 2048 teams, divided into 128 groups of 16 teams each. In the beginning, they battled with each other to get the top positions.
Among all these teams, a total of 16 top teams qualified for the next round, the Conquest Open Finals. Further in this round, those 16 teams battled, and only the top 8 teams were selected for the next round.
Now, there are 24 specially invited teams for the ESL BGMI Snapdragon Pro Series Finals. And altogether, they participated in the ESL BGMI Snapdragon Pro Series Challenge Season. It was held from January 12 to February 4.
Now, after that round, only the top 16 are qualified for the finals, and now they will battle in Noida for the winning title.

The earnings report for Apple’s holiday quarter revealed iPhone sales and a return to revenue growth following four declines. However, sales in China fell below expectations, with a 13% decrease to $20.8 billion, below analyst’s predictions of $23.5 billion. This quarter represents Apple’s performance in China since 2020.
Luca Maestri, Chief Financial Officer of Apple, attributed the decline in China to competition and increased government restrictions on foreign technology companies. The re-entry of Huawei into the market with their chip-powered smartphones intensified competition, leading to an increase in patriotic purchases.
Despite the challenges faced in China, Apple reported a revenue gain of 2.1% reaching $119.6 billion and surpassing analyst’s expectations. However, iPad sales experienced a decline of 25% totaling $7.02 billion largely due to holiday-related factors.

This can partially be attributed to the absence of product upgrades in this category.
