Apple launched the M4 chip for the OLED iPad Pro models in April and later released the M4 Pro and M4 Max versions, which deliver major performance enhancements compared to its M3 chip.
This leaves one wondering how the next M5 chip is going to fare. It has also been reported that Apple has already issued orders to TSMC for M5 chips we can expect to deliver both computational, as well as graphical performance improvements. They will use a new ARM architecture and be made on TSMC’s leading-edge 3nm process, the same one used in the current M4 chips, with further performance enhancements.

Apple Chooses TSMC’s SoIC Tech Over 2nm for M5 Chip, Mass Production Set for Late 2025
Though the M5 chip won’t come to market using 2nm technology as was previously anticipated—presumably due to high costs—the Cupertino giant is aiming to eventually use the tech in future M and A-series chips for its iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices, though it could take a year.
But the M5 will still deliver a considerable performance uplift from the M4, thanks to TSMC’s new System on Integrated Chip (SoIC) technology. The 3D stacking helps with thermal management and mitigates electrical leakages common in 2D designs.
A hybrid SoIC from the introduction of the thermoplastics carbon fiber composite molding technology has also brought a deeper alliance for Apple and TSMC. Preparations for small trial production gradually began in July, and if everything goes according to plan, mass production of M5 chips in the second half of 2025. This could also mean that Apple won’t be refreshing the iPad Pro in Spring 2025, and it may instead push it out to later that year or Spring 2026.
We could see the M5 chip in MacBook Pro models first, while MacBook Air models would come in Spring 2026. The M5-powered iPad Pro could be launched alongside the MacBook Pro, with no details known yet. Additionally, Apple plans to leverage the M5 chip for its AI server infrastructure to enhance future Apple Intelligence features, including a new LLM Siri that will replace ChatGPT integration and launch in Spring 2026.
FAQs
When will the M5 chip be available?
The M5 chip is expected to enter mass production in late 2025, with devices like the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro potentially launching soon after.
Why did Apple choose not to use 2nm for the M5 chip?
Apple opted for TSMC’s 3nm technology due to the high cost of 2nm, aiming for performance and power efficiency instead of cutting-edge fabrication.
India vs PM XI match: Virat Kohli is no stranger to making headlines, and his decision to skip the India vs Prime Minister’s XI practice match ahead of the Day-Night Test against Australia has sparked heated debates. After a stellar century in the Perth Test, Kohli chose to sit out this critical practice match, leaving fans and experts questioning whether it was overconfidence or a calculated move.

India vs PM XI match: Virat Kohli’s Bold Move, Skips India vs PM’s XI Match – Overconfidence or Strategy?
Kohli’s Comeback in Perth: A Glimpse of His Old Self
In the second innings of the Perth Test, Kohli silenced critics with his 7th hundred in Australia, a knock that not only showcased his grit but also guided India to a memorable victory. The innings was seen as a turning point for the former Indian captain, who had been grappling with inconsistent form.
India vs PM XI match
However, with Kohli skipping the India vs PM’s XI match, questions are being raised about his preparedness for the upcoming Pink Ball Test in Adelaide. Was it wise to forgo an opportunity to face live bowling in challenging conditions, especially under lights?
The Pink Ball Puzzle: Kohli’s Mixed Record
Kohli’s record in Pink Ball Tests is a mixed bag. While he began with an impressive 136 in his maiden outing, his recent performances in such matches have been less than stellar:

The numbers suggest potential but also inconsistency. Given the unique challenges of the pink ball, higher swing under lights and visibility issues – many argue that Kohli could have benefited from the practice match.
India vs PM XI match
Why Skipping the Match Raises Eyebrows
Match Practice Matters: The PM’s XI match offered a perfect opportunity for Kohli to adjust to pink-ball conditions against quality bowlers like Scott Boland. Nets practice, no matter how rigorous, cannot replicate real-match scenarios.
Unflattering Recent Record: Kohli hasn’t been prolific in Pink Ball Tests lately, managing only 67 runs in his last four innings. A hit in match conditions might have been valuable to regain rhythm.
Team Dynamics: KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who have been in good touch, got their chance to bat in the PM’s XI game. But Kohli sitting out raises questions about whether he underestimated the importance of this preparation.
Strategic or Overconfident?
Some suggest Kohli’s decision may have stemmed from confidence in his preparation. Reports indicate he faced Jasprit Bumrah under lights during nets, simulating conditions as closely as possible. Perhaps he believed this was sufficient to fine-tune his game. On the other hand, critics argue that this move hints at overconfidence, especially when Kohli’s recent form in Pink Ball Tests doesn’t inspire complete confidence.

The Stakes in Adelaide
With the second Test looming, all eyes will be on how Kohli performs. The Adelaide Oval is where he shone in his first Pink Ball Test, but the stakes are different now. A solid performance could validate his decision to skip the PM’s XI game, but a failure could amplify criticism.
India vs PM XI match
Kohli’s decision to sit out the India vs PM’s XI match has added a layer of intrigue to the buildup for the second Test. While his century in Perth has reignited hope, the challenges of the Pink Ball Test require precision and preparation. Whether Kohli’s choice proves to be a masterstroke or a misstep will soon unfold on the field.

The El Clasico match is widely considered to be the most significant game in global football. It features two of the most prominent teams in Spain who fiercely compete against each other. Although it may not have the same level of star players as before, the Barcelona vs Real Madrid match continues to be the largest event in Spanish football. In this article, we talk about the combined best XI to feature in the 21st century.
BestEl Clasico XI of the 21st century:
GK: Iker Casillas (Real Madrid)
Iker Casillas
The La Masia graduate will go down as one of the greatest goalkeepers of his era, captaining Real Madrid as well as Spain. Casillas‘ inclusion in the lineup can be somewhat unanimous considering the sheer quality he possessed.

The Brazilian will easily go down as one of the best left-backs to ever play the game. With a wand of a left foot, Roberto Carlos will always be remembered for his thunderous free-kick goal against Barcelona in El Clasico.
CB: Carlos Puyol (Barcelona)
Carlos Puyol
A leader like no other, Puyol captained Barcelona’s most successful spell and was one of the best central defenders that the team has ever seen. What he didn’t possess in physicality, he made up for in sheer willpower.
CB: Sergio Ramos (Real Madrid)

It is difficult to think of a defender as synonymous with Real Madrid as Sergio Ramos in the last few decades. The Real Madrid skipper was the focus of a number of big El Clasico moments and will be extremely difficult to replace for Los Blancos.
RB: Dani Alves (Barcelona)

Having returned to the team for a second spell, Dani Alves is Barcelona’s greatest right-back of the 21st century. The Brazilian is unrivalled going forward and is still putting in the shifts despite being well past his mid-30s.

CM: Andres Iniesta (Barcelona)

Iniesta’s inclusion ahead of Xavi is a difficult one given the sheer quality that both of these players possess. But, the former Barcelona captain makes the line-up ahead of his midfield partner. Iniesta made 38 Clasico appearances and scored three goals while providing six assists in the fixture.

Strengthening Governance: Shah steps into a role previously held by Greg Barclay, who was instrumental in stabilizing the ICC during his tenure. Building on Barclay’s work while adapting to new challenges will be critical.
Maintaining Harmony: The delicate relationship between member boards, particularly BCCI and PCB, will demand continuous attention to avoid future conflicts.

As per reports, Nothing is working on three new smartphones, which are likely to launch in the first half of 2025. Although we officially remain in the dark, it’s drawing increasing attention that one of these devices might be the elusive Nothing Phone (3). Recently, the model was seen on Geekbench with the code name Nothing A059, causing excitement among fans and tech enthusiasts.

Nothing Rumored to Launch Three New Phones, Including Phone (3), in First Half of 2025
Nothing burst onto the smartphone scene with its first device, the Phone (1). It had a transparent back and a striking Glyph Interface, a series of LED lights on the rear that lit up in different patterns for notifications and charging status.
This bold design choice allowed Nothing to break out in an otherwise flooded market fair. One that kept up its end to the fullest is the one that came next, the Phone (2), with refinements in its design, and decidedly better cameras, continuing from where the previous model left off. The unique features and the new way of design have now won a large fanbase for the brand.
The Nothing Phone (3) should continue that trend, potentially with an emphasis on the mid-range segment. The Phone (3) will likely be powered by Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, have 8GB of RAM, and run Android 15, as discovered through A059’s Geekbench listing as well. If these rumors are accurate, it means that Nothing is vying for a lower price point with this device, ideal for those who want a unique smartphone experience without the flagship price tag.
Nothing’s most recent launch was the Phone (2a) Plus, a lower-cost option of the Phone (2) that also had a limited edition glow-in-the-dark variant. Both these devices, i.e. the Phone (2) and the Phone (2a) Plus were pretty popular and they sold out immediately. It’s very much up in the air if the rumors are correct but if so, it’ll be interesting to see where Nothing goes next with their releases.
Will they continue to push the boundaries of design, introduce new groundbreaking features, or focus on refining their existing models to improve performance? Fans and industry watchers alike are eager to find out.

Intel Battlemage Arc B570 Surfaces Online: 10 GB GDDR6, 2.6 GHz Core Clock, and More Revealed
Before any announcements were made, specifications for the Arc B570 were revealed. The listing on 1fotrade, a French computer wholesaler, shared by @josefk927, showed the GPU’s key specs. It offers 10 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, PCI-E 4.0 x8 interface, OpenGL 4.6, and DirectX 12 APIs support. Its core frequency is 2.6 GHz, which is about 200-250 MHz lower than the Arc B580. It has 160-bit bus memory, which gives it 380 GB/s of memory bandwidth. The GPU has 18 Xe2 cores equivalent to 144 compute units (CUs), two Xe2 cores fewer than the Arc B580.
The GPU is designed as a dual-slot card measuring 249 x 132 x 41mm. It has a single HDMI 2.1 and three DP 2.1 outputs for display, supporting up to 8K resolution and four monitors simultaneously. While there’s no mention of total power draw (TDP), the card’s single 8-pin connector (one more than a single 6-pin) and a recommended 600W PSU indicates a maximum power draw of around 225W.
So Intel should launch the Arc B570 along with the Arc B580 on 3 December. The Arc B570 is gearing up to be a formidable mid-range offering with reasonable performance, modern features geared to gamers and content creators at retail availability, and pricing still under wraps for October 2023.
