Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches November 14 with a revamped perk system and Combat Specialties. Choosing the right perks can dramatically improve your performance, whether you’re playing Search and Destroy or dominating Hardpoint. Here’s your complete guide to the best perks and Wildcards.

Black Ops 7 Best Perks by Slot

Perk Slot	Top Choice	Category	Why It’s Best
Perk 1	Ghost	Recon (Blue)	Undetectable by UAV while moving
Perk 1	Ninja	Recon (Blue)	Move silently for stealth plays
Perk 2	Fast Hands	Strategist (Green)	Faster weapon swaps
Perk 3	Dexterity	Enforcer (Red)	Enhanced omnimovement in gunfights

Best Perk 1 Choices

Ghost keeps you off enemy radars when moving, planting, or controlling scorestreaks—essential for stealth-focused players and snipers. Ninja reduces movement noise, perfect for Search and Destroy modes where audio cues matter.

Cold-Blooded protects you from AI-targeting scorestreaks and thermal optics, making it crucial for surviving aerial threats. Flak Jacket reduces explosive damage, ideal for objective players capturing flags or holding Hardpoints.

Note: Ghost and Ninja occupy the same slot, requiring the Perk Greed Wildcard to use both simultaneously.

Best Perk 2 and 3 Selections

Fast Hands accelerates weapon swapping—critical in Black Ops 7’s fast-paced combat when your primary runs dry. Looper lets you re-earn scorestreaks in the same life, perfect for high-skill players who rack up eliminations.

Dexterity is the most popular Perk 3 choice, enabling full ADS during slides, dives, and wall jumps while reducing fall damage. This maximizes omnimovement effectiveness. Tracker highlights enemy footsteps and auto-pings targets when ADS, excellent for aggressive hunting.

Top Wildcard Picks

Overkill equips two primary weapons—pair a sniper with an SMG for versatility. Gunfighter adds three extra attachments to your primary weapon, creating devastating builds. Perk Greed grants an additional perk, especially valuable given strong Tier 1 options.

Combat Specialties Explained

Equipping three perks of the same color activates Core Specialties, while mixing colors creates Hybrid Specialties. Enforcer (all red) boosts movement and health regen after eliminations. Scout (red/blue hybrid) keeps you off minimaps for five seconds after eliminations.
