Black Ops 6: Zombies, on December 12, will reveal the new map, Citadelle Des Morts, alluded to there in the Terminus Storyline. This map will not be in the next Warzone map but will be in its vicinity, in the Principality of Avalon. Hints, including were also dropped with the new map easter egg in the run-up to the reveal, with one post offering fans a glimpse of what they’re in for.

The real-life citadel of Carcassonne in Toulouse served as the genocide arc’s map inspiration. Maps such as this one show foggy atmospheres, several different levels, stairs, and zip lines to help players navigate between them. The teaser has a bridge, implying that players might have to open it to reach the deeper parts of the map, so they can further the story beyond Terminus and Liberty Falls.

Liberty Falls suggests Prima Materia related to the Chaos dimension and Terminus alludes to Sentinel artifacts and elder gods from Vanguard. There is expected to be a new field upgrade, Shadow Blast that has already become quite popular. A new update will introduce 18 new augments including nine major and nine minor, along with three new Gobble Gums. Also a new Hand Cannon support weapon, but it’s unclear if it will be available in Zombies mode.

They will also introduce a new Wonder Weapon, likely the return of the Ray Gun alongside multiple variants that were similar to the elemental staffs and swords that went back to earlier Black Ops games. Finally, facing burglars in the new fantasy-based map will be the first appearance of an enemy type called Mimic, based on the ones you find in the game Dungeons and Dragons.
