BJP’s Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026: Month-Long Campaign Launched To Mark PM Modi’s 25 Years Of Public Service

A birthday, a milestone, and a month of nationwide outreach — the BJP has kicked off something bigger than a usual celebration this year. On September 17, coinciding with Narendra Modi‘s 76th birthday, the party launched the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan,’ a campaign built around 25 years of his uninterrupted public service.

PM Modi : Campaign

Why This Campaign, Why Now?

The timeline is no coincidence. Modi took oath as Gujarat’s Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, marking the start of a public life that would later carry him to the Prime Minister’s office in 2014 — a role he has now held across three consecutive terms. October 7, 2026, therefore completes a full 25 years of continuous public service, and the BJP has chosen to frame this milestone not as a political victory lap, but as what party chief Nitin Nabin called “an unwavering commitment to serving the people and the nation.”

The party traditionally observes Modi’s birthday as ‘Seva Diwas’ (Day of Service). This year, that single day has been stretched into a month-long nationwide push, connecting the birthday to the 25-year anniversary through grassroots activity.

What The Campaign Involves

According to the BJP, the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan will spotlight Modi’s work across three broad pillars — service, development, and nation-building. Reported activities include:

• Outreach camps at the block and constituency level under the ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’ to connect citizens with government welfare schemes
• Recognition programmes honouring Anganwadi workers and beneficiaries of government schemes
• Citizen storytelling initiatives inviting people to share how welfare programmes changed their lives
• Public-service and community-engagement events held across states

The campaign also ties into the government’s long-term ‘Viksit Bharat @2047’ vision, positioning the 25-year milestone as part of a larger narrative of national development.

Nabin launched the campaign from Ujjain alongside Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and state BJP chief Hemant Khandelwal, calling on both party workers and citizens to take part.
