Who knew a few garlands could cause so much drama? In the Mohanlal-hosted Bigg Boss Malayalam 8, the weekly Adholokam task took a dramatic turn when Asif and Shijin locked horns, and the argument quickly went from task talk to personal.
What Was the Adholokam Task Setup?
In this task, Asif played the Don, while Shijin was the assistant manager. Nowfina served as the task manager. After Vedangi was eliminated from the task by Mridula and Wikky, three garlands were set aside to welcome the next guests, as instructed by Bigg Boss.

How the Argument Unfolded?
Nowfina told Asif she had one garland, while the other two were with Shijin. Shijin explained that one was in the storeroom and the other was with him. Asif wasn’t happy that this was decided without his say, arguing that as Don he should have been asked first.
Things got hotter when Shijin reportedly told Nowfina privately that he had both garlands, which seemed to contradict his earlier explanation. Nowfina also reminded Asif that he had earlier been asked whether his bodyguard, Noby Binu, could keep one. Even so, Asif kept questioning why decisions were made without his knowledge.
From Task Talk to Personal Clash
Asif insisted his role demanded consultation, while Shijin said he was simply following instructions tied to his role. The exchange grew increasingly heated, with personal remarks flying. Asif also threatened to withdraw from the task, and Vipin stepped in to warn against any physical altercation.
The biggest flashpoint came when Asif threw his microphone on the garden floor. Rahul Easwar put it back on him, but Asif stayed firm that he wouldn’t continue if the situation persisted. Learn more about the franchise on Bigg Boss Malayalam’s Wikipedia page.
