The upcoming cricket tournament, set to commence in early October, poses a significant hurdle for television ratings, particularly given the fervent cricket fandom in India. This presents a significant difficulty for reality shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi, as they face tough competition in attracting viewership during popular sports events. Cricket, widely regarded as a religion in India, captivates a considerable portion of the audience.

Therefore, in an effort to avoid a possible decline in Television Rating Points (TRPs), the Bigg Boss 17 organizers have chosen to alter the planned release date.
