Bheed, Rajkummar Rao‘s new movie is a lockdown thriller movie. The movie is written, directed, and produced by Anubhav Sinha. It is based on the true events during the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown period. Bheed was released in theatres on 24th March 2023. It has a running time of 114 minutes.

Bheed has collected Rs 1.15 crores at the box office only in two days and the movie at the same is not performing very well at the box office as it is facing tough competition from the Hollywood movie named John Wick as well as from the movie Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway and Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar have a budget of Rs 35 crores.

The movie has only garnered around Rs.1.98 in theatres in over a week and considering its weak performance a fast OTT release is kind of expected. Although the movie has received mixed reviews from the critics as well as from the audiences as this movie is an eye-opener to all the audiences that what happened at the time of the lockdown.

Bheed is a lockdown thriller it tells us the story of all the migrant workers who were trying to return to their homes during the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and the movie brings back painful memories of the post-Covid days. When the Covid-19 pandemic first hit India, people panicked and stocked up on rations, and locked themselves in their homes. Some were with family while others were stranded alone in different cities.

However, it was the migrant laborers who got disoriented and got stuck on the roads trying to go back to their villages. The movie has shown us the root problems by going deep into this matter, to know more everyone has to watch this movie. The film starring Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Pankaj Kapur, Ashutosh Rana, and Dia Mirza.

Bheed OTT digital rights have been locked by Netflix, so audiences who do not want to go to the theatres can enjoy the movie Bheed on the OTT giant platform named Netflix. Those who have subscriptions will be able to watch the movie.

Bheed OTT’s official release date has not been announced yet, however, it is expected that the movie will stream on Netflix in May itself. It also varies as it will be depending upon the performance of the movie at the box office so, according to it this may be preponed or postponed. As per the rumors or guesses digital rights of Bheed were sold to Netflix at Rs 5 crores only.
