BharatPe & YES BANK Launch Pay Later Credit on UPI

BharatPe has partnered with YES BANK to launch ‘Pay Later with BharatPe’, bringing instant credit on UPI to millions of merchants and consumers across India. This NPCI-powered solution democratizes access to credit with zero paperwork and flexible repayment options.

Instant Credit Without the Hassle

The service offers quick, paperless onboarding with a YES BANK-powered credit line accessible through any UPI QR code. Users can shop online, pay bills, recharge phones, or transact at merchant touchpoints using their credit line seamlessly within the BharatPe app.

Users can track spending, limits, and repayments within the app while earning guaranteed rewards through BharatPe UPI Rewards. The Zillion coins earned can purchase vouchers for multiple brands or pay utility bills, adding value to every transaction.

Bridging India’s Credit Gap

Nalin Negi, CEO of BharatPe, highlighted that credit penetration remains low in India, especially for small merchants and new-to-credit consumers. This compliant, scalable solution addresses both merchant and consumer spending needs while maintaining UPI’s security standards.

According to BharatPe’s official site, the company processes 450 million+ UPI transactions monthly across 450+ cities. Simple Five-Step Activation Process

Getting started requires opening the BharatPe UPI app, tapping ‘Pay Later’, completing YES BANK’s KYC process, linking the credit account with UPI, and setting a UPI PIN. Users can immediately start transacting with their YES BANK-powered credit line.

For more on fintech innovation in India, this launch represents a significant step toward financial inclusion. The interest-free credit facility refreshes limits upon repayment, allowing users to spend daily and repay monthly based on their convenience.
