BGMI and it’s possible India return: What we know

Since the game was banned in July 2023, BGMI fans have been eagerly awaiting its return. The Indian government has banned the popular battle royale game due to concerns about data privacy and national security. Krafton, the game’s developer, has been working hard to bring the game back to India.

ScoutOP, a professional BGMI player, was recently seen discussing the possible timeframe for the game’s return in a live stream. He stated that the game would be available again in April or May, implying that he had received some hints about the suspension being lifted. This news has sparked a lot of excitement among BGMI fans, who have been waiting a long time for the game’s return.

Mazy, an Esports caster, has also shared exciting news about the game’s potential return. He stated in a recent stream that he has received leaks about an announcement, teaser, trailer, or something similar regarding the game’s return by the end of this month. These rumors have fueled speculation that BGMI may be making a comeback soon.

The Indian gaming community has been waiting for the government to lift the ban on BGMI, and rumors about the game’s return have only added to the excitement.

Many leaks indicate that the game will return in the first week or mid-April. If the ban is lifted in April, Indian teams may be able to compete in the PMPL SAC, which is scheduled to take place in May. There are currently four unknown slots for the PMPL South Asia Championship, and if BGMI is unbanned in India in early April, India has a good chance of securing a spot in the championship.

Recent history indicates that the game’s developer, Krafton, wishes to promote Indian competition on a global scale. Despite the game’s ban in India, the country received a spot in the PMWI, demonstrating Krafton’s desire to include India in the global gaming market.

Krafton is well aware that India is a massive gaming market. As a result, if BGMI is legalized in India, Krafton will almost certainly want to capitalize on this market and provide Indian gamers with the opportunity to compete on a global scale. All eyes are now focused on the Indian government to see if the ban will be lifted and, if so, what opportunities will open up for Indian esports teams.
