Between Steps Teaser: Kim So Hyun’s Bold Confession to Choo Young Woo Will Melt Your Heart

ENA just dropped the second teaser for its highly anticipated upcoming drama “Between Steps,” and it’s already tugging at hearts. The clip centers on Kim So Hyun’s character boldly confessing her feelings to Choo Young Woo, setting the tone for what looks like a deeply emotional love story.

Between Steps: Drama Details

A Confession That Doesn’t Hold Back

In the teaser, Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun) slides a ring box across the table to Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo) and tells him plainly, “I’m making a formal confession. I like you a lot.” It’s a refreshingly direct moment for a K-drama romance, breaking away from the usual slow-burn hesitancy.

The teaser also hints at deeper emotional layers — Park Min Jae is shown struggling with leg pain while a voiceover questions whether he’s truly unaware of something, or simply choosing to look away. A later scene shows Im Yoo Jin in tears, still reaffirming her feelings despite his standoffishness.

The Story Behind Between Steps

The drama follows Park Min Jae, a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness, and Im Yoo Jin, a graduate student trying to find her footing again after losing her way. It’s a story about two people rebuilding themselves — separately and, eventually, together.

Notably, this project marks one of the final works from director Ahn Pan Seok, known for hits like Something in the Rain and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon — dramas widely praised within Korean television drama circles for their emotionally grounded storytelling, a signature the director appears to carry into this project as well.

When and Where to Watch

Between Steps premieres on October 5, 2026, at 10 p.m. KST. Until then, fans can catch Kim So Hyun in Serendipity’s Embrace and Choo Young Woo in Oasis to get their fix.
