Between Steps: Choo Young Woo and Kim So Hyun’s New Romance Sets October Premiere

A shared umbrella, a rain-soaked walk, and a line that’s already melting hearts online — “You are like the sun. Hot.” That’s the tone Between Steps is setting ahead of its premiere, and fans of Choo Young Woo and Kim So Hyun have plenty to be excited about.

Between Steps: Details

What’s the Story About?

“Between Steps” follows Park Min Jae (Choo Young Woo), a former swimmer who lost his right leg to illness and gave up his Olympic dreams, only to rebuild his life as a PhD candidate in robotics. Opposite him is Im Yoo Jin (Kim So Hyun), who’s about to graduate with a degree in clothing and textiles when an unexpected incident redirects her path toward the same field. Their romance unfolds as two people rebuilding their sense of direction find each other along the way.

The drama marks a project from the late director Ahn Pan Seok, known for helming beloved romance dramas including “Something in the Rain,” “One Spring Night,” and “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” — a filmography fans of tender, slow-burn romance will recognize instantly.

The Teasers: A Preview of the Chemistry

Two mood teasers have already given fans a taste of what’s coming. In the first, Park Min Jae and Im Yoo Jin walk together under a shared umbrella in the rain, with Min Jae telling her she’s “like the sun, hot,” while Yoo Jin reassures him not to worry about anything.

The second teaser takes a lighter, more playful turn — the pair sit together on a bus as Yoo Jin teasingly asks if he likes her that much, only for Min Jae to confidently confirm it, listing out that she’s pretty, cute, and kind when pressed for more.

Where to Watch While You Wait
