Best Bethesda Games Ranked as of 2023

Bethesda Game Studios is responsible for some of the biggest RPGs in the market, despite only having two series. Bethesda Game Studios’ catalogue had previously consisted of either The Elder Scrolls or Fallout, with Starfield adding something new to the mix.

Here are the Best Bethesda Games Ranked as of 2023

The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim

There are no words to define the beauty of Skyrim. I’ll go on a limb and say that many folks who are not aware of the Elder Scrolls universe also regard Skyrim as the finest example of how RPGs should be. It’s just peak performance and the land of Skyrim, with its mountains, caverns, and small settlements, is interesting to explore. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is Bethesda Game Studios’ best RPG to date.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion

Bethesda’s breakthrough came with Oblivion and the game was regarded as the best RPG on Xbox 360 of its time. In the game you’re now a prisoner who is almost quickly introduced to Emperor Uriel Septim, If you don’t know who he is then we can’t be friends. Oblivion is a very interesting game and is one of the favorite Bethesda games of many fans even to this day.

Fallout 76

Fallout 76 was a commendable attempt to transform the Fallout universe into an MMO, complete with its factions, economy, and plot to carry the experience. While the game has had numerous upgrades to improve it, it was a flop at launch, barely working for the majority of players due to the always-online requirement. It’s more worth your time now, but it still can’t compete with the other big-budget Bethesda RPGs.

Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind

This is the game that introduced a generation of console gamers to the world of a massive Bethesda RPG, and it changed lives. Deep PC RPGs were previously unknown to console gamers, and Morrowind’s vast universe truly altered lives. Morrowind seemed like a revelation even on PC, creating massive 3D realms that many were witnessing for the first time. Morrowind established a pattern and the norm for all Bethesda RPGs to follow. Morrowind is still playable on PC or with Xbox Game Pass via Backwards Compatibility, and it’s still unique, but a little too obtuse and old-school to suggest in 2023.

Fallout 3

With this Game, Bethesda started to expand on its Fallout universe, as the company has officially purchased the license of the game. It gives a very compelling story and game dynamics as usual were amazing.

Starfield

The most recent BGS game, as well as one of the most significant of all time. Starfield abandons the open-world model in favor of a thousand worlds to explore, in addition to spacecraft to construct, factions to join, adventurers to romance, and much more. The exploration of space gives the Bethesda RPG concept a completely new vibe, and the guns are sharper and more sophisticated than they have ever been in a BGS title.
