Behind Every Film Is a Crew — And Fauzi Just Lost One of Its Own

Prabhas’ period war drama Fauzi shoot halted after a tragic road accident near Hyderabad claims one crew member’s life and leaves five others critically injured

There are moments when cinema has to pause — not for schedules or budgets, but for something far more important: human life. That moment has arrived for the sets of Fauzi, Prabhas’ highly anticipated period war drama. In a heartbreaking development, the film’s shoot has been temporarily suspended following a fatal road accident involving members of the production crew on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to the family of the deceased and to the five crew members who remain hospitalised.

Fauzi Shoot Halt: What We Know

What Happened?

According to Deccan Chronicle, the crew vehicle was heading to Ramoji Film City for a scheduled shoot session when it lost control and collided with a cement road divider near Abdullapurmet on Hyderabad’s outskirts. One crew member lost their life in the accident, while five others were rushed to a nearby hospital where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Director Hanu Raghavapudi and production house Mythri Movie Makers took the responsible call to immediately suspend filming as a mark of respect and to allow the team to come to terms with the tragedy. No official statement has been issued by the makers so far.
