Beauty in Black Season 3 Ends With a Massacre — And Almost Nobody’s Fate Is Confirmed

Nearly everyone was in that club. Almost none of them are confirmed dead. That’s exactly how Tyler Perry wants you feeling right now. Beauty in Black Season 3 closes with Jules orchestrating a brutal shootout at Make It Rain, and the finale leaves the fates of nearly every major character deliberately, maddeningly unresolved.

How the Finale Unfolds?

Jules has spent the season hunting down the people responsible for his son’s death. After Sylvie tries to escape her past by returning to her abusive mother and confessing everything to the police, Jules finds her first — and shoots her dead before she can talk. That murder is only the opening move in his larger plan.

From there, Jules heads to Make It Rain, the club now run by Rain, revealing he’s been working with Gina and her criminal network the whole time. His endgame is revenge for Glen, and once he corners Rain face-to-face, Gina gives the signal outside: gunmen positioned throughout the club open fire, turning the venue into a bloodbath. Kimmie and Mallory are both present when the shooting starts, but the show never confirms whether they escaped or were hit.

Beauty in Black S3: Breakdown

The Family Falls Apart on Every Front

While the club burns, the Bellarie family’s other conflicts finally boil over. Norman discovers that Mallory was behind the hit-and-run that killed his wife, Ina, and shows up at her house for revenge — only for Mallory to shoot him first. As Norman lies bleeding on the floor, Horace arrives, and Norman uses his last bit of strength to shoot his own brother too. Horace survives and is rushed to the hospital, while Norman is left behind, his fate left hanging.

Elsewhere, Roy — already struggling with heroin withdrawal in jail — overdoses after taking an unknown substance from another inmate, and Olivia remains behind bars with no resolution in sight.

With Horace hospitalized, Norman possibly dying, Roy in critical condition, and Kimmie and Mallory unaccounted for, the Bellarie empire enters Season 4 with essentially no one left standing to run it.

Multi-generational crime family sagas built around power struggles and shifting loyalties are a defining feature of the genre, part of the broader tradition documented on Wikipedia’s overview of crime drama.
