BCCI is ready to introduce Rotation like ECB for the Indian Cricket team

Players like Virat Kohli and star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has complained about bio-bubble fatigue. The BCCI is all set to look after this matter. The BCCI will implement a rotational policy like for the England and Wales Cricket Board before starting with the home series against New Zealand.

A senior BCCI official told “We must take into account the fatigue of players. Staying in consecutive bio-bubble is not easy and there will be a need to rotate squad. The New Zealand series will be a start and with the talent we have in the domestic circuit, a lot more players will get a chance at least in T20s while we have a core group for Test,”

BCCI official told that they’re ready to introduce ECB policy

South Africa tour is coming up and many senior players are taking rest. Players like Shreyash Iyer was called for the test squad. Young players like Krishnappa Gowtham, Devdutt Padikkal, Priyank Panchal are among many domestic cricketers who will be sent on South Africa A tour.

Another official added, “Shreyas Iyer’s selection is purely to ready back-up for future. Rahane and Pujara aren’t getting any younger and we must take into account the fatigue of players. Now, the spinners too have been playing constantly and they will need rest sooner than later. Jayant Yadav could come in handy as a backup option for future series,”
