BCCI annual contract 2022-23: All you need to know about BCCI’s new annual men’s contracts for Team India

BCCI annual contract: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) released the Annual Player Contracts for Team India (Senior Men) for the 2022-23 season on Sunday. The decision to update the contracts was taken during the Apex Council meeting in December last year. The contracts determine the retainer fee for the players and are divided into four categories- A+, A, B, and C.

Here’s everything you need to know about the new BCCI annual contract.

Promotions and Demotions

India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been promoted to the A+ category from Grade A, joining the likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah. Jadeja’s promotion is well-deserved as he has been a consistent performer for the Indian cricket team. Hardik Pandya has been promoted from Grade B to Grade A in the contract list. Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav have also received promotions in the central contracts, moving from Grade C to Grade B.
