Bayern Munich Win 35th Bundesliga Title After Dortmund’s Shock Hoffenheim Collapse

The Bavarians are back on their throne — and they mean business

There’s a reason they call it Mia San Mia — We Are Who We Are. Bayern Munich proved exactly that on Sunday, clinching their 35th Bundesliga title with a commanding 4-2 victory over VfB Stuttgart at the Allianz Arena. It is their 13th Meisterschale in just 14 years — a statistic that is as jaw-dropping as it sounds.

But the story of how this title was won began not in Munich, but 200 kilometres away.

Dortmund’s Stumble Opened the Door

Borussia Dortmund handed Bayern the golden opportunity they needed by losing 2-1 at Hoffenheim on Saturday. Andrej Kramaric — Hoffenheim’s record goalscorer — converted two penalties to sink BVB, leaving Bayern 12 points clear and needing just a point against Stuttgart to be crowned champions.

When Sunday came around, Bayern didn’t just take a point. They took everything.

Bayern 4-2 Stuttgart — How It Unfolded

Bayern fell behind when Chris Führich scored a terrific goal for Stuttgart, but Vincent Kompany’s side responded emphatically with four different scorers finding the net to seal a convincing win.

Luis Díaz — The Season’s Standout Star

One player has been at the heart of Bayern’s dominance all season. Luis Díaz became the first Bayern player since data collection began in 2004/05 to register at least 13 goals and assists in a single Bundesliga season, finishing with a remarkable 15 goals and 13 assists — the only player across Europe’s top five leagues to achieve that feat this season.

That is generational-level production. Díaz didn’t just contribute — he transformed Bayern into one of the most lethal attacking sides in European football.

What’s Next? The Treble Is On

The Bundesliga crown is just the beginning. Bayern are now chasing a historic treble, with DFB Pokal semi-finals and Champions League semi-finals both on the horizon.

With 109 goals already in the league and four games still to play, Vincent Kompany’s side are playing the most free-flowing football in Germany — and arguably, in all of Europe.

Title by the Numbers

According to Bundesliga’s official records, no club in German football history comes close to Bayern’s sustained dominance. The gap between Bayern and everyone else remains as wide as ever.

Final Verdict

Dortmund handed them the moment. Bayern seized it with both hands. With a 109-goal season, a superstar in Díaz at peak form, and a treble still within reach, this Bayern Munich side is not just winning — they are building a legacy.
