In an exciting turn of events for Bollywood fans, Shah Rukh Khan recently announced his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, Bastards of Bollywood. The announcement sent waves of excitement across the film industry, generating considerable buzz in B-Town.

With a star-studded cast and a narrative set in the glamorous world of the Hindi Film Industry, this highly anticipated web series is already garnering attention. Fans of Aryan Khan and the industry alike are eagerly awaiting the release of this entertainer, which is set to premiere on Netflix in the first week of June 2025.

A Strategic Release and Unmatched Star Power

According to sources close to the development, the decision to release Bastards of Bollywood on Netflix post-IPL is a well-thought-out strategy. By targeting the post-IPL window, the creators aim to capitalize on the shift in audience consumption from cricket to Bollywood. The series will be heavily promoted during the IPL league, ensuring that the buzz surrounding the release reaches a wide audience.

The show features a powerhouse ensemble cast, with Bobby Deol and Lakshya leading the way. Deol, known for his versatile acting, will play a key role alongside Lakshya, who is fresh off his successful debut in Kill, a film produced by Karan Johar and Guneet Monga.

Adding to the star power, Himachal Pradesh girl Sahher Bamba, who made her debut alongside Sunny Deol’s son Karan Deol in Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas (2019), joins the cast in a supporting role. Sahher has previously featured in Disney+ Hotstar’s The Empire and Dil Bekaraar, and appeared in B Praak’s music video for Ishq Nahi Karte, sharing the screen with Emraan Hashmi. Her inclusion in Bastards of Bollywood promises to bring another layer of talent to this star-studded show.

The Star-Studded Cameos That Will Leave Fans Talking

One of the most exciting aspects of Bastards of Bollywood is the inclusion of some of the biggest names in the Indian film industry, who will appear in special cameos. The three Khans—Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan—will all make special appearances in the show, sparking speculation about their roles. These cameos are sure to be a major talking point upon the show’s release, as the star power of these actors will add an intriguing layer to the storyline.

Additionally, other A-listers such as Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Alia Bhatt will also appear, playing fictionalized versions of themselves. This meta-referencing of real-life stars is expected to create a unique and engaging experience for viewers, as it blurs the line between fiction and reality. To further heighten the drama, renowned directors SS Rajamouli and Karan Johar will also feature in important roles, adding yet another dimension to this high-profile project.

Unveiling the Lavishly Mounted Show

While the show’s plot remains largely under wraps, early reviews of the content have already started pouring in, with many praising the lavish production values and the star-studded ensemble. The buzz around the trailer and other promotional material is steadily building, with fans eagerly awaiting the first look at Bastards of Bollywood.

As per insiders, the show’s creators have gone all out to ensure that the series is a visual spectacle, offering a lavishly mounted production that promises to deliver an unforgettable entertainment experience. The chemistry between Bobby Deol, Lakshya, and the talented Saher Bamba, who plays a crucial role, is expected to be one of the highlights of the series.
