Preview: Why This One Matters
This is the second time the two sets of legends meet in India. Real Madrid Legends beat Barca 2-0 at DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai last year, so Barcelona will want revenge. It will also be Barça’s first Kolkata visit since September 2018, when they played Mohun Bagan at the same ground. olympicsolympics
Expect smiles, skill and plenty of nostalgia. Legends matches are about the show, but nobody forgets this rivalry, even in exhibitions. If you love the real thing, our El Clásico coverage on Techno Sports is worth a read.
Expected Teams and Lineups
Squads are not official yet. Luís Figo, Iker Casillas and Carles Puyol are reported as potential participants. Figo is the most interesting name, since he played for both clubs. thedailyjagran
For a sense of what’s possible, the legends sides in earlier 2026 matches in the US featured stars like Ronaldinho, Kluivert and Saviola for Barça, and Pepe, Seedorf and Zamorano for Madrid. Treat those as hints, not a confirmed Kolkata list. We’ll update this page when official names drop.
