Barcelona Femeni win Spanish Super Cup in 7-0 rout against Levante

Barcelona Femeni won the Spanish Super Cup for the third time in a row, defeating Levante 7-0 to win the trophy. They defeated rivals Real Madrid 4-0 in the semifinals and continued their superior performances in the final to win by a huge scoreline.

Salma Paralluelo gave her side the lead, after early pressure from Levante that almost led to an own goal. By half time, a flood of goals ensured that the game was decided in the opening 45 minutes, with the defending champions heading into the dressing room with a 5-0 lead.

Graham Hansen achieved her hat-trick ten minutes into the second half, making it 6-0. And to top it off, Aitana Bonmati scored a brace to make it 7-0 in favour of Barcelona Femeni.

With their win, they have become the only team to have won the trophy more than once in each of the old and new formats. And their domination of the rest of Spain’s Women’s football continues with the Super Cup win.
