Baek-jeong Is Alive, Geon-woo Won, and Season 3 Has Never Felt More Inevitable — Bloodhounds S2 Ending Explained!

Netflix just dropped all seven episodes of Bloodhounds Season 2 — and the finale is already breaking the internet. On April 3, 2026, Netflix dropped all seven episodes of Bloodhounds Season 2, helmed by Kim Joo-hwan, bringing back Woo Do-hwan and Lee Sang-yi with K-pop icon Rain joining the main cast as the season’s terrifying villain.

Baek-jeong Season 2 — Overview

What Happens in the Season 2 Ending?

Season 2 begins five years after the first — Kim Geon-woo has become WBC super middleweight champion, with Woo-jin as his coach. However, his success attracts Im Baek-jeong, a disgraced former boxer who now runs the brutal Iron Knuckle Championship (IKC) underground fight circuit on the dark web.

When Geon-woo refuses to participate, Baek-jeong escalates his threats — ultimately kidnapping Geon-woo’s mother, forcing him into the ring. With his mother’s life on the line, Geon-woo agrees to the fight.

The second season ends with Geon-woo defeating Baek-jeong in a brutal final rematch and freeing his mother, solidifying his position as the best martial artist in the series.

Is Baek-jeong Really Dead? The Big Twist Explained

No — and this is where things get wild. After Baek-jeong’s arrest, NIS agents intercept the police convoy. Rather than executing him, the NIS presents Baek-jeong with a choice: become their informant and expose an international drug trafficking network operating between Thailand and South Korea, or be killed. A cosmetics expert fakes his death, and a photo of his “body” is sent to Min-beom — who believes him dead.

In the post-credits scene, a military official arrives at a morgue to identify Tae-geom’s body — his shifting expression hinting heavily at a revenge arc for Season 3. DM Talkies
