‘Avengers: Endgame’ Re-Release Box Office India: Marvel Classic Sells 1 Lakh Advance Tickets, Eyes Record Opening

Marvel fever is back in Indian theaters — and it’s not even a new film. Avengers: Endgame Encore is quietly building one of the biggest advance-booking runs a re-release has ever seen in India, with a full week still left before its opening.

Avengers: Endgame- Overview

Several high-collection screens — including all of Chennai’s currently available shows — are already sold out, meaning these numbers could climb further once full show inventory opens.

Could It Break the Re-Release Record?

Trade estimates suggest current momentum would ordinarily point to a Rs. 20 crore net opening day for a fresh release. Since this is a reissue, growth typically softens — but even a Rs. 10 crore net opening day would make it the biggest opening ever for a re-release in India, spanning both Hollywood and Indian cinema.

Why This Matters for Marvel in India?

Avengers: Endgame was India’s highest-grossing Hollywood film at its 2019 release, before being overtaken by Avatar: The Way of Water and later Spider-Man: Brand New Day. A strong re-release could put Endgame back in serious contention — and signals renewed Marvel box-office strength ahead of Avengers: Doomsday‘s release later this year.
