Remember the all-heroine team-up in Avengers: Endgame? Marvel may be hinting at a sequel. A new official poster for Avengers: Doomsday puts four of the MCU’s heroines front and centre, ahead of its December 18 release.
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Film | Avengers: Doomsday |
| Release date | December 18, 2026 |
| Villain | Doctor Doom (Robert Downey Jr.) |
| Poster stars | Yelena, Invisible Woman, Shuri, Mystique |
| Link to past | Echoes Endgame’s “A-Force” moment |
Who’s on the Poster in Avengers?
| Hero | Actor | Team / Universe |
|---|---|---|
| Yelena Belova | Florence Pugh | Avengers / Thunderbolts |
| Sue Storm (Invisible Woman) | Vanessa Kirby | Fantastic Four |
| Shuri (Black Panther) | Letitia Wright | Wakanda |
| Mystique | Rebecca Romijn | X-Men |
The poster brings together four heroines from four different teams and three different universes. Yelena and Sue take the lead spots, with Shuri and Mystique on either side. That makes sense, given their expected importance to the story.
Details Worth Noticing
Sue’s costume matches her new jacket look from the movie, and her reported history with Victor von Doom and his interest in her son Franklin could make her a key figure. Yelena, the MCU’s new Black Widow, is expected to be one of the Avengers’ leaders. Shuri’s Black Panther headpiece looks slightly different from early footage. Mystique was shown in the trailer fighting Yelena and transforming into her, so seeing them on the same side suggests an alliance against Doom at some point.
The Endgame Echo
In Endgame, the heroines teamed up after Carol Danvers received the Infinity glove. Many fans see a similar team-up setting up here, though this poster has a much smaller line-up.
Who’s Missing?
The absences are already sparking debate. The poster doesn’t show Ghost, Cassie Lang, Namora or Peggy Carter. The X-Men’s Storm, Jean Grey and Rogue are also missing from footage so far. Co-director Anthony Russo said at Comic-Con that those characters feed into the movie in a meaningful way. Rumoured but unconfirmed names include Wanda, Sylvie, Clea, Kate Bishop and Carol Danvers. Natasha Romanoff is not expected to take part in this team-up.
More New Posters
Other promo images show Doom looming over the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Avengers, a Fantastic Four and Doom poster, and a group shot with Beast (Kelsey Grammer). Sam Wilson, Cyclops and the Thing also appear together, hinting at leaders for each team.
