Assassins Creed Mirage is rumored to launch in August 2023

The release date for the upcoming 13th installment in the long-running Assassins Creed franchise, Assassins Creed Mirage, may have been revealed. Assassins Creed Mirage was first revealed in September 2022 at Ubisoft Forward, where it was revealed that the protagonist would be Basim and the setting would be Baghdad. While other details have been scarce, the title’s release date has been confirmed as 2023.

Assassin’s Creed is a video game franchise that has been around since 2007. The in-game universe’s lore is a diverse collection of stories just waiting to be told, with a rich history spanning 12 mainline titles. While recent titles have shifted to more open-world action-adventure gameplay, Assassins Creed Mirage’s press release states that it will follow a structure similar to the first game, focusing on stealth, parkour, and assassinations.

An earlier interview revealed the influences, setting, and other details of Assassins Creed Mirage.

According to an anonymous GameStop employee’s Reddit post, their computer displays several target release dates and marketing information for some games, including Assassins Creed Mirage. According to the screenshot, the game will be released in August 2023. While this may be currently the intended release month for the title, dates can shift depending on the project’s development status.

According to recent rumors, Assassins Creed Mirage may have hit a production snag, which could potentially push the release date back if it has a significant impact on development. There have been rumors that the current focus of development is Assassins Creed Infinity, a game hub that acts as an Animus connecting multiple games, though it has not been stated how much the shift affected Mirage.

Assassins Creed Mirage is in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
