Arvind Swamy Joins Salman Khan & Nayanthara’s Film SVC63 — But Not as the Villain! Here’s His Real Role

Just when you thought the casting news around Salman Khan’s upcoming pan-India action drama couldn’t get more exciting — it does. In an exclusive development, Tamil cinema legend Arvind Swamy has officially signed on to be part of the Vamshi Paidipally directorial. And here’s the twist nobody saw coming — he won’t be playing the villain.

SVC63 Cast Update: What’s Confirmed Right Now

Despite widespread speculation that Arvind Swamy would take on an antagonist’s role, Pinkvilla has exclusively confirmed he will be seen in a positive, “non-negative” character. The search for the film’s villain is actively on, with the makers currently in talks with a top Hindi actor for the antagonist part.

Why This Casting Is a Big Deal

Arvind Swamy stepping into a positive role alongside Salman Khan and Nayanthara brings serious Bollywood-South crossover energy. His screen presence, refined acting range, and natural authority add a different texture to what is already shaping up as a true multi-star spectacle with genuine pan-India appeal.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor is reportedly in talks for an action-packed extended appearance, but has yet to formally sign on. So for now, the confirmed trio of Salman, Nayanthara, and Arvind Swamy is already enough to set the excitement dial to maximum.

Scale, Ambition & a 2027 Theatrical Release

This isn’t just another big-budget film — it’s being designed as an event. Backed by powerhouse producer Dil Raju under Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film goes on floors on April 20, 2026, in Mumbai with an extensive shoot running through August. The makers are firmly targeting a theatrical release in the first quarter of 2027.
