Arsenal seriously considering €55m bid for Raphinha from Leeds United

Arsenal are now interested in signing Leeds United winger Raphinha, and have inquired about his availability. The winger was already a target for Barcelona this summer, and have been told that they will have to bid €55 million to stand a chance at signing him.

The North London club have already signed Sao Paulo winger Marquinhos in a deal worth €3.5 million, until 2027. But, they seem to be interested in bolstering the wide positions even further with Raphinha being a potential option for them.

Arsenal considering transfer for Raphinha

Had Leeds United been relegated from the Premier League, any club interested in Raphinha would have had to pay a release clause worth €70 million. But since they managed to survive in the top flight, Leeds United can hold on to the Brazilian if they want.

He has been their best attacking player this past season, scoring a fourth of their goals in the Premier League. He is among the most skilled dribblers in the league, and poses a serious threat to defenders.

Barcelona had agreed personal terms with him, but due to their financial difficulties, will be unable to meet the asking price that Leeds have quoted. Arsenal could swoop in for the player if they can pay the amount that Leeds United want. But, their priority for now remains the signings of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City and Youri Tielemans from Leicester.
