ARC Raiders: Hunt Down Damaged Heat Sinks Like a Pro Scavenger

Damaged Heat Sinks are the golden ticket to crafting success in ARC Raiders, but finding these rare recyclables feels like searching for needles in a mechanical haystack. These tech components hide in high-risk zones where both AI enemies and trigger-happy players compete for loot. Let’s cut through the confusion and map out exactly where you’ll score these crucial items.

ARC Raiders Reference Guide

Best Locations: Your Loot Route Map

Launch Tower (Spaceport Map) – Top Priority This is your bread and butter for Damaged Heat Sinks. Located dead center in Spaceport, Launch Tower towers over everything else—literally and figuratively. The massive structure houses multiple floors packed with technological loot, making it the single best farming location. Expect heavy competition here, so bring your A-game and best loadout.

Trench Towers (Spaceport Map) Also situated in Spaceport, these towers offer solid spawns without quite the chaos of Launch Tower. The multiple structures give you options to maneuver away from enemies while still hunting tech loot. Perfect for solo players wanting decent yields with manageable risk.

Research & Administration and Control Tower (Dam Battlegrounds) The Dam Battlegrounds tech POIs provide excellent alternatives when Spaceport becomes too hot. These connected structures feature predictable spawn points once you learn the layout. Check both buildings thoroughly—Damaged Heat Sinks often hide in less obvious corners.

Pilgrim’s Peak (The Blue Gate Map) The Blue Gate’s premier tech location offers respectable spawn rates in a slightly less contested zone. If you’re looking to farm with fewer interruptions, Pilgrim’s Peak should be on your rotation, especially during off-peak hours.

How to Spot Tech POIs on Your Map

Finding these locations becomes effortless once you understand the map legend. Look for icons displaying squares with lines and circles—these mark technology-focused points of interest. Official ARC Raiders guides confirm these symbols consistently indicate tech loot spawns.

Survival Tips for High-Risk Farming

These aren’t casual looting spots. Technology POIs attract the most aggressive players because everyone needs crafting materials. Come prepared with strong weapons, healing items, and extraction plans. Don’t get greedy—grab your Damaged Heat Sinks and extract before someone turns you into another loot pinata.

Consider squad play strategies for dangerous runs. One player loots while teammates provide security. Rotate positions and watch sight lines. Communication wins firefights in these congested zones.

Why Heat Sinks Matter for Progression

After recycling Damaged Heat Sinks, you’ll receive crafting materials essential for gear upgrades and equipment manufacturing. These aren’t optional collectibles—they’re mandatory for advancing through ARC Raiders’ tech tree. Smart players prioritize Heat Sink farming early to unlock better gear faster.

Farming Rotation Strategy

Don’t tunnel vision on one location. Rotate between Launch Tower, Dam Battlegrounds, and Pilgrim’s Peak across multiple runs. This approach minimizes predictability, avoids player bottlenecks, and maximizes your Heat Sink collection rate. Check quest guides to combine Heat Sink farming with mission objectives for efficiency.

The key to consistent Damaged Heat Sink farming isn’t just knowing locations—it’s mastering timing, survival tactics, and efficient looting patterns. With these coordinates and strategies, you’ll transform from desperate scavenger to crafting kingpin in no time.
