In a candid revelation, Resul Pookutty described the surreal moment when AR Rahman called him at 3:30 in the morning to introduce him to Hans Zimmer. “I couldn’t believe it,” Pookutty admitted, highlighting Rahman’s unconventional yet brilliant approach to bringing together global creative powerhouses.

This isn’t just about making a phone call—it’s about Rahman’s commitment to creating cinema that transcends boundaries. The Academy Award-winning composer has always been known for his collaborative spirit, and this gesture proves why he remains India’s most respected musical genius.

Why This Collaboration Matters

Ramayana is already one of the most anticipated films in Indian cinema history. With Nitesh Tiwari directing and a stellar cast including Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita, the project demands nothing less than perfection in every department.

Resul Pookutty, who won an Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire, brings technical brilliance to the soundscape. Combined with Rahman’s musical genius and Zimmer’s orchestral mastery, Ramayana is poised to deliver an immersive audio-visual experience unlike anything Bollywood has attempted before.
