According to a recent rumor by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is anticipated to present updated versions of its Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, and Magic Trackpad for Mac at its “Scary Fast” presentation on Monday, October 30. It is believed that the new accessories will come with USB-C ports as a replacement for Lightning connections for charging.

Gurman believes that during the event—which is likely to be when the accessories are revealed—an upgraded 24-inch iMac with an M3 chip will be announced.
Other than moving to USB-C, it’s unclear if the accessories’ designs will change in any other way. They have seen a few minor adjustments throughout time, like the addition of braided cables and new color options that are only available on the 24-inch iMac, but overall they still retain the same appearance as when they had their most recent major update in October 2015. A Magic Keyboard with a Touch ID button was also unveiled by Apple in 2021.
Though the device lasts up to a month between charges, the Magic Mouse’s bottom-mounted Lightning port forbids the mouse from being used while charging—a rule that has long been ridiculed in the Apple world.
