Apple is expected to debut a foldable laptop as early as 2026, according to industry insiders on July 6. Apple is in discussions with vendors to produce the Apple’s Foldable Laptop ‘MacBook‘, which will be unveiled in 2025.

Apple’s Foldable Laptop details
In response to the opening of the foldable panel market for IT devices, Korean companies are also coordinating development and manufacturing plans for foldable OLED panels for laptops.
Between 2025 and 2026, Samsung Display plans to invest 4.1 trillion won ($3.1 billion) in the production of 8.6-generation OLED panels. LG Display is also investing in medium-sized OLED screens used in tablet PCs.
For Apple’s Foldable Laptop Larger sizes are undoubtedly more profitable in the display industry, even though maintaining excellent quality is more difficult. Foldable laptop displays are more profitable than foldable smartphone displays.
Korean manufacturers, on the other hand, were the first to build computers with OLED displays, but none with foldable OLED panels. Only for foldable laptops has Samsung Electronics gained trademark rights.
Apple is in talks with display vendors about releasing a foldable MacBook model, which is expected to resurrect the dormant display market.
