Last month, Apple had its Spring event, during which it unveiled a slew of new devices, including the Mac Studio. The company has no plans to stop, and new items are expected to be announced in the coming months. Apple is expected to release a redesigned MacBook Air model in the second half of this year, according to reports. Now, a well-known analyst claims that Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 will be released around the same time.
Apple will discontinue the first-generation AirPods Pro after releasing the AirPods Pro 2, according to Ming-Chi Kuo. The AirPods Pro was first launched by Apple in October of 2019, making them over two and a half years old. In comparison to the previous model, demand for the third-generation AirPods is lower. Apple has to reduce orders by at least 30% going forward. We’ll have to wait and see how the AirPods Pro 2 compares to the competition.
AirPods Pro 2 will have a much more enhanced chip
When compared to the H1 chip, the analyst previously predicted that the AirPods Pro 2 will have a “much enhanced” wireless chip. The chip is in charge of audio-related functions including ANC and battery life optimizations. Aside from that, Kuo claims that the next AirPods Pro 2 would offer lossless audio on Apple Music.
The AirPods Pro 2 case will have a small speaker on the outside that will transmit sound. If the AirPods are lost or misplaced, users will be able to quickly locate them. The charging case for the AirPods Pro 2 will be water-resistant, just like the third-generation AirPods, for added durability. Apple has also tested a smaller design for the AirPods Pro 2, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. This suggests that the next generation of AirPods Pro will have no stem at all. Apple will ship its new redesigned MacBook Air with an M2 chip in the second half of 2022, according to Kuo. If this is correct, we can expect both devices to be released at the same time.
