Apple Watch Family Setup experience is now accessible in India for children This will enable grown-ups to give their kids a cell Apple Watch model so they can decide, settle on decisions, and utilize iMessages without an iPhone. Apple said that the Apple Watch allows kids with cellular connectivity to stay in touch with family and friends through the For Your Kids functions. With certain precautions in place, they can access the watch’s communication, fitness, and health features among other safety-related elements. For example, parents can pre-approve the contacts accessible to their kids on the Apple Watch for calling.

Safety features include Emergency SOS, Apple Maps for navigation, and Find People to locate family members or share the child’s location. Kids can also track fitness activities with Activity rings, set workout goals, and challenge friends through Activity Sharing invitations. Parents can monitor all these activities from their iPhones.

Like the Pro, it also has a Schooltime mode signified by a yellow circle on the watch face that silences notifications and apps while activating Do Not Disturb. The feature can be switched on and off by the child, or scheduled to turn off at a certain time interval set up from an iPhone.

This feature is on Apple Watch Series 4 or newer and the latest versions of watchOS paired with iOS devices that are iPhone 8 or later. A wireless service plan for the Apple Watch is needed to activate cellular service. Users must have an Apple ID for themselves and their family members, with two-factor authentication enabled on both accounts. According to Apple, the Apple Watch For Your Kids feature can deliver up to 14 hours of battery life on a single charge, depending on the model.
