Apple to launch New AirPods and AirPods Max: Complete details
An update is scheduled for 2024 for the basic AirPods and the AirPods Max, and for 2025 for the AirPods Pro. Apple is planning to redesign the earbuds and case for the AirPods and AirPods Pro, as well as enhance the audio output.
The second- and third-generation AirPods will eventually be phased out by Apple in favor of two fourth-generation devices that are available at varying pricing points.
With shorter stems than the existing AirPods, Apple’s fourth-generation AirPods models will resemble a hybrid of the AirPods Pro. Although it has only been available on the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max up to this point, Active Noise Cancellation will be available on the more expensive model of the basic AirPods.
The earphones may also have some long-rumored functions related to hearing health when the ‌AirPods Pro‌ are updated in 2025 with a speedier chip and a new design. Apple reportedly aims to release a feature that would enable the AirPods Pro to gather hearing data and act more effectively as a substitute for hearing aids.
