Apple is gearing up for the anticipated launch of the next generation of iPhones, the iPhone 15 series, set to take place in September. Staying true to its tradition, Apple is set to release four models in the iPhone 15 lineup, which includes the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Ahead of the release, a recent report from ITHome sheds light on the battery capacities of these upcoming smartphones.

According to the report, the iPhone 15 is expected to feature a 3877mAh battery, which represents an 18% increase compared to its predecessor. Additionally, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be equipped with a larger 4825mAh battery, demonstrating a 12% boost over its previous version. Let’s delve deeper into the specifics.

The report, based on insider information from Foxconn, indicates that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will feature battery capacities of 3877mAh and 4912mAh, respectively. On the other hand, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max are rumored to arrive with battery capacities of 3650mAh and 4852mAh, respectively.

Furthermore, the report reinforces previous claims that the iPhone 15 Pro models will feature a USB Type-C charging port. It also suggests that the base variants of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will offer 256GB of storage, indicating that the 128GB storage option will not be available for these models.

It is widely expected that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be powered by the A16 Bionic chip, while the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will benefit from the newly announced A17 Bionic chipset. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are likely to retain the Lightning charging port.

Camera-wise, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are rumored to feature a 48MP camera setup, similar to the iPhone 14 Pro series. The iPhone 15 Pro series is expected to feature a Titanium chassis, as well as solid-state haptic and mute buttons. Notably, the iPhone 15 models are said to support 15W wireless charging, even with non-MagSafe chargers.
